    We need an Ace1 and Ace2 along with a solid lefty bullpen arm and closer2. If this team had a prime degrom I would give us a real shot for catching braves and going deep in playoffs.

      This is not gonna happen. We’re gonna get unnamed relievers because the money is already spent this year.

      Yea I hear you. But I remember when we had DeGrom we went to Atlanta needing 1 game to take the NL East and we got swept!

      Exactly. It's about consistency. And we absolutely are far from that, altho our bullpen have consistently ruined games lol

      Hmm, do you think 2 aces would be good to have? Maybe Detroit will trade us Skubal and Flaherty for McNeil. Wouldn’t that be nice.

      DeGrom may never play again even with the Mets he’s was injury prone. The body wasn’t made to throw that hard for that many innings

    Read and article today that Nimmo is the least most recognized OF for his contributions and it is true, this man is truly a special star and I am glad he is with the Mets.

      He was horrible when mets put him in starting rotation terrible but great in pen then the next year healthy and great starter now it happens in baseball so what genius

    • @johncummings5350
      @johncummings5350 19 дней назад +1

      @@michaelcassara2880 You're correct. They did try him as a starter and the results weren't good. It's not as if he has truly proven himself yet. Let's see his numbers at the end of the season. You also have to realize that some guys just play better in small markets. The NY pressure is real. Look at Travis D'rnaud with Atlanta. He couldn't stay healthy in NY and he didn't give the Mets consistency but he's certainly been a nice fit in Atlanta. Sometimes you just have to shrug your shoulders and realize it is what it is.

      @johncummings5350 yes people always knocking mets when player comes here true but pressure of new york and media much worse with mets than yanks media always criticize mets goes both ways there were players come to mets di well love and can't play as good when leave that's baseball LGM

    Corbin has to be one of the worst long contracts Washington has seen.....Butto is pitching exactly how I expected since this spring.....he has poise and he isn't frightened to challenge a hitter. Why they waited so long to use him on a regular basis this season baffles me. They weren't afraid to watch Baty scuffle in his starting role for a year and a half but a guy like Butto.....who has performed admirably since he got his initial start..... they were reluctant to use as a useful resource to provide pitching depth.

    Seems Alonso has a very low Baseball IQ. If anyone noticed, in the first inning when he was on first, he forgot there were 2 outs and ran back to first on the popup from Vientos. Really won't be worth anything near what he wants

    • @rickjason215
      @rickjason215 20 дней назад

      Obviously his head isn’t in the game. It is the first base coach who should remind the runner there are 2 outs.

    • @christineg7888
      @christineg7888 20 дней назад

      OMG! Please stop talking about Trevor Bauer. He's bad news. He's had multiple accusations against him that we know about. As any lawyer will tell you, "not guilty" does not mean you are innocent. (For example, O. J. Simpson.) Bauer may have had a jury constructed of baseball fans like you! In my opinion, he's most likely behaving in other countries because the penalties for such actions are much stiffer than in the U.S. 🤷‍♀️

    • @alandesgrange9703
      @alandesgrange9703 20 дней назад

      Baseball is woke. They're afraid of the backlash. Bauer would be low risk, high reward. Screws up, he'd be gone.

    Garrett fizzled out a long time before this so called injury. Probably not even hurt, just a front for him being ass. Tired of our bullpen being inconsistent bums. Year after year. We have 1 or 2 dudes doing their thing but the rest just ruin it.

      He was great early on but has been overworked. It would be great if he came back after the break and returned to his early-season form, but I wouldn’t count on it the way he’s been pitching lately.

    Why did he used Diekman? He can't be trusted.

    • @LockedOnMets
      @LockedOnMets  20 дней назад

      Only one lefty in the bullpen right now (not including Danny Young who was just called up) and with several lefties in a row in the Nats lineup, it seemed like the logical choice even if Diekman has struggled. He looked good though so we’ll see if he can continue that.

    " Steve Cohen has spent his money well on Lindor and Nimmo "
    Thats silly talk and thats your fandom and optimism getting in the way and romanticizing prematurely. The same way it was immature to call it a terrible contract intitially after a disasterous start to Lindor's Met tenure is the same way its premature to call it money well spent. His goal was to win a WS within 5 yrs. The answer to that question will be determined if they win a WS or 2 in Lindors case. No Chip = Bad deals. Period
