I've read all the comments. You put yourself out there and got it done for all of us to see. We like your style! You got job offer, see who want to be your friend and at least one interested woman it seams🙂 Respect
You know what dude, you're amazing! Bad knees and all you are one go-to get it done kind of guy. Thank you for your take on how you accomplished this task at hand it gave me a great start on how to proceed. be well.. MR
Awesome job, but hey, get that/those knees replaced. It’s definitely worth it! Honestly, it made me feel at least 15 years younger! Much more active and zero pain!
It looks like I'm in pain, but I'm not. Thank goodness. I've already had 6 knee surgeries, over the years. Being self employed, Ins. is out of sight and can't afford it. Thanks for watching.
@@kennydykes1145 yeah my shed is heavier than that one.its actually a 10x16 but it's solid wood.we had a bad storm here (Ida) and it only fell of the bricks so I picked it up for a price I couldn't refuse.so here I am now looking up videos on the easiest way to move it.i believe it's definitely gonna take 2 come alongs.what kind of jack that is that you used?I really like that jack
Awesome Job, Man. I'm gonna try this with my car trailer & bit larger shed. Side Note: We need competent useful people in this world to stay living so please don't ever use one of those POS HF or WalMart Come-Alongs. Come-Alongs are junk anyways but especially those. I busted one on my little 3500lbs 20 Ft. Jetboat a few weeks ago & was lucky I didn't take a piece of the unit to the head.
Great job, love how you did it yourself, but if I may, I was taught that whenever you have a load on a trailer you should move it as far forward as possible so your trailer won't fishtail as you are going down the road, have you heard this?
Thank you for video. Im moving 12 'by16' shed w/same trailer n winch. My Question is last part of video is scewed so is that shed sitting partialy on Fenders?? Just curious how you got on blocks if not on fenders at end of missing video9when shed on trailer). Thank You Sir, John Wade
It barely cleared the fenders by 1/2 in, but it did take the lights off. No charge, I told my buddy i borrowed the trailer from. The furniture dolly and a block of wood was a big help, rolling onto the trailer. Check out my other video in moving a shed, it was twice as heavy.
I may have a similar project soon. I was thinking of lifting the shed above the height of the trailer's bed, enough so I can put round posts under the shed to run it along the trailer bed. The shed is narrow enough to fit between the wheel guards.
Michael is correct but I don't think that shed was heavy enough to do anything to them bricks.it all worked out fine and barely anybody plays by the rules and besides if you stay out the way from the shed falling on you you're okay 👍🏽
You look like you could use a knee replacement. You make it look easy, wow! I think you've done this a few times before. I like your Jeep, but a truck seems more suited to your line of work.
Hey Mr D where are you located i live in Irving and need a shed moved from Burleson to me , its Overall dimensions are 148” wide, 195” long, 156” tall can I hire you
Thanks for tuning in. My wife's boss gave me this shed for free, but the catch was he only gave me 2 days to get it removed, I had to improvise with what I had. It was actually a lot lighter than it looked, probably about 1000lbs.
Thanks for watching, I moved a heavier shed by myself I built 10 yrs ago, but rented a forklift, I'm fixn to move it again, I think I'll use this method on it, stay tuned, that vid will be coming soon this fall.
whole lot of dangerous stuff going on here. DOT officer would of had a field day with you. also i'm surprised those blocks didn't crush since you had them on their sides. i really hope no one else try's to do this, this was extremely stupid.
Thanks for watching and I appreciate the comment. I've been a general contractor for years and yet to crush a cinder block form just compression, I suppose it's possible if something is really, really heavy, I bet that building was less than a half ton. And as far as a DOT officer, I don't understand, here in Texas, as far a I know it is not illegal to transport a shed, on a trailer on the Texas highways. Stay tuned for more.
Y do ppl make stupid comments like yours, what's the danger there. That's not a 10000 pound shed, that thing wheight no more than 500 pounds do u know how much wheight a cinder block can support even if placed the other way.
@@mardegan86 The stupid comment would be that of you're own. The fella literally admitted being a general contractor for years. So regardless of the unforseen dangers like one having a small crack which weakens it's integrity enough causing it to fail under what would normally be a safe weight, the dangers are there. Just because you don't see or understand them, doesn't mean you have to criticize someone calling out something unsafe. What happens when a kid RUclips's for guidance, but his shed isn't a little one you can pick up with a farm jack, and ends up with a building flattening his head simply because someone didn't point that out? Would his comment be stupid then? What the dangers are or aren't isn't really the issue in question here. It's why not do it the right way, regardless of what the dangers are?
The slowest, one-man-waddle. Just teasing (I'm broken too). I just wish you would have edited it better so that 90% of the video wasn't you doing the obvious, tedious stuff.
I never thought I would ever be moving shed in my life but the day has come and thank you for posting this you just made my life so much easier!
Check put my other shed move too. It was alot heavier type shed. Insulated, lined interior with OSB and shelf all around, asphalt shingles.
All I can say is Wow, job well done! You’re a brave and hard working soul
This just proves that when over thinking things it makes it seem much worse. This just do it attitude makes it seem easy!
Thanks for watching, hopefully I'll get the second shed move video done soon, it was 3 times the weight of this shed.
This is one cool dude!! With his swole leg and all. He got it DONE!

Good thing for fast forward
I have done this with two other men. It was a lot of work.
Good job sir.
Thanks for the tips, I have one to move and I don't have any friends that have volunteered to help.

Sir, I'm a 61 year old woman and by golly I'm going to try and use this to move my shed no company will!
You’ve given me hope this coming weekend thank you.
I'm doing this same thing this coming weekend and this video helped out a lot.i never thought about the come along.thanks for the video
I just did a second shed, twice as heavy, took two come alongs. Video coming soon, took ma and a buddy. Thanks for watching.

nice work, i like working alone too. and im just as gimpy...
Great job slow and steady using leverage to your vantage
I have to assume this isn’t the first time you’ve done this. Good work man
Just the info i needed looking to pull off a job like this myself. Gotta love simple ingenuity
Yea, I have to do stuff like this by my self too, there's always a way, just ta little planning. Thanks for watching.

Amazing for real...
I think I'd just try craigslist though, or a few friends/neighbors and a case of beer
😂👌🏽
Wife's boss gave me till next morning to have it moved and it wasn't the weekend.
good jpb
Thanks
Glad that it worked out for you. You could have save the cost of the come-along by using the farm jack as a winch instead. Very nice find.
Maybe he needed it to raise the backend while the cum-along held on to the shed from sliding back
Seriously where...have you been all my life? Do you have a twin? Just amazing....
I may have a similar project soon. I was thinking of lifting the shed above the height of the trailer's bed, enough so I can put round posts under the shed to run it along the trailer bed. The shed is narrow enough to fit between the wheel guards.
Safety first, set the block upright.
Those 8" block are ment to be turned the other way for true load bearing...just saying.but this shed isn't to heavy.
Thank you, I’m replicating the same process!!
So nice a job well done 👍
Thank you, thanks for watching.
Excellent job
Ty sir
Got real at 6:57 😂😂 I know that feeling!
the stress load on those blocks . you should have them holes vertical
Stress load?Thats a good one!

Great job. God Bless you.
Couldn't have done it without the funnie music !! 😀😊
This ole boy has definitely busted a few broncs in his day.
This gives me confidence that my husband and I can move the shed I’m purchasing instead of hiring someone for $350.
very helpful video.
You very welcome, I looked for a one man move on a shed, didn't see many, but I knew I could do it. Appreciate ya watching.
At least the shed could have never slipped off an the door crust his legs?
Nice job
Good job my friends

Should not put your cement blocks like that put them so the holes are up and down.
Too weak the other way
One block per hand.
how big was the shed? i was gona say thats not gona fit on the trailer. then u put it over the fenders lol
what size was the shed TYVM
So how do you get it off in a tight area?
Attaboy

They trying to charge me an arm an leg for this up to 1600 my highest bidder so far
Call a wrecker Co. with a flat bed. They can move them too.

Starts (kinda) at 2:00
I love Blue Ridge Ga
Not bad. I was wondering how this is done. U still married? Lol. She must be a lucky lady 💯👊
You didn't need a oversized sign or anything going down the road
What kind of jack is that

That's a HiLift jack, some call them a Farm Jack. Thanks for watching. More to come.

That's a Hi-lift jack, got it at Tractor Supply. Thanks for watching.
Great video lose the Benny hill music 😂
Hello watched the video and heard you say going to blue ridge . Are you by chance in SC. ?
Blue Ridge Texas. Thanks for watching
blocks should go the other way to support weight. Just FYI

You left out the most important part, completing the winching onto the trailer!!!! Thus wasting my time to watch.
I watched 16 minutes of my life that I'll never get back and you don't have video of the actual move. 😪 smh
That was pretty impressive, how'd them fender lights end up?
