I have built and delivered sheds for 41 years now and I won’t even put a building over 12 inches high any more, it’s just not safe with no foundation underneath. If that is a issue for the customer they can go somewhere else. Every customer is convinced that their property is level. I had one who could not understand why I was not going to get a shovel and dig holes in the ground to put the blocks in the holes. Some even outright lie to you about the delivery situation and when you call them on it they will laugh right in your face. It gets to be a bit much after a while.
Yes that is completely true you never know until you get there everybody says it’s level and everybody says it’s dry LOL
think she's difficult now, wait till the repo. Bahaha
I'm happily watching you .Like everyone, they say do this and do that 🙄. Knowledge is your friend. Be cool and SAFE. .35 years doing business n I'm still learning. Great channel pal.
Hello friends glad I found your channel. This was so fascinating and the building is beautiful. That definitely took time. But turned out great. Be safe friends sending love your way ❤️🌺🌸❤️
MelNetteLivingFreeZipCodeless thanks 😊 I appreciate you!!
Reminds me of an old country song I once heard, “Some fools never learn”. Bless y’all for trying to teach them.
Great job on delivery and setup. 👏🏽👍🏾
Thanks ☺️
Amazes me that folks can’t figure out that the final set can’t be on a slope! Some thought before as to where exactly they want the building to sit, and hire someone with the equipment to create a level site with minimal blocks. SMH. Great job moving and blocking twice though, guess that’s what you have to do. 👍
Right
They should have had the ground graded to set it level with only one block around
One block around when level doesn't give you any under access.
Hi y’all did amazing job setting it up 👍
I love how the equipment works so well. Seems almost effortless.
Yes it’s such a blessing to have equipment like this year’s ago they used to move everything with winches and Jack’s I couldn’t imagine having only those tools
Would be nice to have a bulldozer attachment to clean the sheds out from all the garbage they leave behind.
I have the same floor on mine didn’t know it was OSB from the top. Hope it’s going to hold up from being wet from rain a d snow
Thats a good looking building 😍
Yes sir lol
Heck I think y’all did a terrific job looks great to me !
Thanks
Absolutely should have told the customer to level the ground before delivery or charge them for that service
Owner probably told them it was level.
Blocking and leveling is included with price
Some customers just don't Understand
Great set up job.
It looks great!
Thanks
Assuming someone did want it set on a slope, if they told me two blocks high, I would assume they meant at the most. If you took out another layer of blocks, it would still be half a block above the footing blocks at the low end. A level and a little discussion ahead of time would've saved a lot of work.
I completely agree but that is out of our hands the seller is the one who tells them how to get the land ready if they want to do so we just show up with the building and set it up all of that work before hand is done with the person that sells the buildings
@@WybleFamilyAdventures Exactly I prepped my site before the shed was delivered. The only room we had on our property was on a slope. So we had 9 tons of # 3 stone and leveled the area. We put drain tile under the stone. So when they came with the pads and block it was smooth sailing.
@@jimmyjackass1805 awesome
@@WybleFamilyAdventures I sell buildings and my driver speaks with the customer about setting up the building before he brings it. We as the seller do talk about the blocks etc. to the customer but it is ultimately the delivery driver who has to know what he is up against before he gets to the site.
I need one of those as a sewing room!!
They better hope those blocks all settle evenly. Should have graded the lot prior to scheduled delivery.
That's what the wedges are for on top of the block.
Thank you for posting. It's good to see what might be expected
You are welcome thanks for watching
I was looking into local jobs as a cdl driver. One of them is a shed mover. Watching this makes me think I don't want to be moving sheds. Very interesting and helpful video. :D
There’s great money in hauling barns if you don’t let customers like this walk all over you. That should have paid $500-$1000 over and above what the manufacturer pays the driver to set up like this in my neck of the woods.
Nothing much worse than extra work because a customer has no clue of what has to be done to do it right but you were very polite and did a good job
would just say make it level the way they did it after ignoring the owners stupidity looks good to me
Saw another repo driver that had his flags attached to some heavy spring loaded clamps, worked very well, my opinion.
Still not sure why the customer wanted it that high. There's gotta be a way for a sales rep to figure the slope of the land and explain to the customer that poor site prep is NOT covered by any sort of warranty. Once it starts sinking or tipping all of the windows and doors will be out of kilter. It's a bad case of pay me now or pay me later.
Maybe they want a deck?
Yes it has been a year since we set this building and they now have a deck around the whole building and have turned it into a beauty shop
Customer didn't want to see the slope that had chosen for that shed.
I bought mind in 2004 from Walnut Hill Rentals in Bell, TN and it on the grown, mind was all treated wood and still standing. They are still in business they have a web site
The area should have been prepared with moisture barrier and then gravel. Customer fail.
That's a Big shed 👋❤️ wow should of poured a slab for it....
That is a decision that is left up to the buyer, slabs are not a requirement for delivery.
Jason Crocker sent me over to say "HI"! Hi! Lol looking forward to seeing more vlogs.
Thanks
If we ever get land. We will be needing a shed.
Must be very strong well made to be able to lift them like that how much does a building like that cost was wondering thanks they didn't prepare the ground it needs to be level
I’m looking for something similar in California but 12x30 ‘ any recommendation?
Foundation leveling is always recommended prior delivery.
Not for us
Only bad about dealing with the public is the public 🤨
@@WybleFamilyAdventures Well then expect a lot more problems...
@@WybleFamilyAdventures Are you saying that you don't recommend it? You should if you don't.
i like watching this repo time its a great vlog good viewing....
Thanks
No matter how much you explain to some people they just don't get it. Sometimes I wonder how they find their way home
Hello! Came over from The Crocker Family page! Just subscribed!
Thanks so much I really appreciate it
That is definitely gonna need some hurricane straps to keep it from blowing off those blocks.
Thanks for the video well done handling a difficult customer, just a quick tip get a tripod or a gimbal cheers Bob
Great idea
If they had concrete piers already built that high in place when you got there, can your equipment place it on top?
Beautiful shed perhaps a level crushed stone pad would of saved some work. You did what you could.
Came over from the crocker's 😍
Thanks
Good job. Customer not always right but gotta try.
I know blocks are common but I would never deal with a shed this size without having a concrete slab foundation. The blocks will sink unevenly at some point. And then there is the matter of rot and/or termites to the floor joists.
Where I live the ground frost would heave and the doors and windows would jam until spring thaw.
I don't know anyone that places these on slab foundations. Always seen two blocks or higher. Underneath is treated for termites etc.
2" more to left and 1" back.!
Yes, the customer should have leveled the ground first!
Yeah ... it seems to me the shed company should have pre inspected the landing site and given her instructions on what to do pre delivery. Like crushed stone or a pad or whatever.
Nice job
Thanks
1/4 turn and a lot less blocking required .
That is unsafe, to be that high off the ground without a foundation. I'd put the shed on flat even ground with one block.
I helped a guy move houses for years, this is gravy.
I can't be the only one who was waiting for this shed to come crashing down off the blocks!
I had a shed about that size that was delivered to my new home and set on one level of blocks. A gust of wind (70 mph) blew it over on it's side. I fixed it and attached it to trailer home tie downs and never had a problem after.
where you get that shed anyway
It could have been started off on the pads as you call them with no block on the high end and would have eliminated one block the whole way through right ?
Yes, but that is really too close to the ground for moisture. Water would pool on that single pad and cause the stringer to rot.
I was hoping the person on the phone was calling to tell them they was delivering the wrong shed to the wrong customer lol
Frost heave (depending on where you are located) will put that building on the ground in a short while. Also, the organic matter under the blocks will also compact and settling will occur. Don't know who's responsible for the mistake but your name will be who they repeat over and over even if you did exactly what they wanted. Not trying to be a jerk, I've been in business for myself for a while and know how the blame game works. Lesson learned I hope.
They have it on video, this is what the customer paid for. Customer is always right!
@@imacrazyguy5831 believe me when it falls the customer will only say who installed it. Who knows the customer could be super honest and say it was their call. How many super honest people do you know? They are the exception now instead of the norm.
It's a shed not a house. A house is regulated by city/ county codes. So they ordered a shed they got a shed. Stop trying to say that a shed needs to have foundation and this and that it's a shed period end of story. If they wanted a house they should have ordered a house.... too many peanuts....geez!
I know, can't see it from your house. 👍
@@stevethomas5209 I see lots of shed to house conversions 😅🤣😁
I watch this building and preparation for receiving my shed... The moving guys Dolly tires flew off so they had to drag my building and I got it stuck in my yard and it's all uneven and it's a big nightmare and it's probably going to get flooded on Thursday when it's rain comes...blah
How much is it with out delivery?
I used to move pianos, you usually don't get a second chance with a grand, NEVER with a concert grand, but they're usually on casters.
beautiful shed, iam planning to purchase a shed like 10×12. what is the cost for a shed. can it it be built on site. no way what fit in the gate lol.
They are delivered already built
I did that for 4 years from Harlingen plant, and it was always hard to please every customer, especially those with uneven grounds who wanted miracles done. I would've just gone with concrete pads on one side and ended with blocks on the other side, especially cause its a ZMG......thd lower the better..... oh and don't forget your pictures!
Yes for sure there is lots of times where we wish we can just do what we want to do but... we always have to please the customer lol thanks for watching
@@WybleFamilyAdventures yes of course, I hear you! Customers are always right, for the most part!!!🤪😆

It's the Customers that pay your salary, Hello!
@@rickwaggoner8479 yes hello!
@@rickwaggoner8479 Will they pay for the law suit?
White lattice would look great around the foundation.
that would be cool
Yes I agree.
Great video
Damn thats a nice shed, metal sides are premium. Premium work on the blocks too, most shed deliverers around here refuse to put anymore than two blocks under around where i live, too much work apparently. The main shed company around here is very corporate(quantity over quality), so they dont put a mom and pop touch to their work like yall do. Friend had a shed delivered and they refused to put anymore than two blocks, so we had to rent a few bottle jacks and do it ourselves, which was a pain in the arse. Id definitely buy a shed from yall if you were close by.
Not premium over time. Blocks set on grass will settle unevenly. Not the delivery person's fault though - the delivery people went way out of their way beyond what should be expected.
@@donmoore7785 Depends on the metal used, my metal roof has last 20 years now and still going strong, should last another 20 years if not more.
Our shed builder came looked at spot before delivery.
Theseasonorg explains whole Bible God bless
At least she can insulate the floors with it that high . I find that is better . I had to crawl under mine to spray foam the floors and it was not fun sliding around on your back
Did the customer pay for foundation and leveling .. or contract someone to prepare and certify the site beforehand?
I've seen movers drop a shed in the dirt and drive off because the land owner didn't ready the site!
A return visit from the mover usually costs as much as the original delivery .. it behooves the land owner to ensure the site is ready to avoid these extra charges.
so are they going to use a step ladder to get in the door ?
That is the owner's problem. She should have had it leveled, instead of assuming "it is pretty level."
You call that a shed? I call that a mansion, a shed is 8 x 12- 10x20 at the most!
Could have save some time by doing the ground work all on your own, way before they arrived with your "shed"!
I will have the ground work ready for my shed to be offloaded.
I lived for 12 years in a 16X32, and for one person and a dog that was large enough. 2X5 wall studs though so there was enough insulation. In Alaska, insulation is everything!!
I used to set mobile homes, the ground would be so uneven that the front would be one block and the back would be twelve which is over your head! These hillbillies will put a wooblie box just about anywhere, then want the sewer drop ran out thar in the tomato garden, as a sign of appreciation they would offer me some tomatoes. 🤮
Wow 😳
You made a cool video
If you like getting dizzy.
That's her own falt
Next time bring a marble and let her see how it rolls
Shed my ass they raised that so someone can live in that, cheap style. You guys worked too hard to make her happy. She should've had some grounds work done ahead of time.
Where did you get your trailer at.. What brand.
Pine hill trailers in Pennsylvania
There is common sense, then there's not having a clue; that's where brutal honesty comes into play.
She did not get her sight ready that's the 1st thing they tell you before you buy one
This was her fault for not leveling the ground wait till those blocks sink a bit in the ground she'll really loose her mind
This looks like a wreck about to happen!!
I noticed most repo sheds are most expensive one on lot. If u can not afford that kind go for smaller cheaper one. Repo goes to a lot of work to get them. Save your money until u can buy a shed.
Too funny! The wind is going to flip this shed off of the make sift blocks.
You lower the high spot by digging down. Then you could of done it.
We need more videos. WHere is the cooking one's? :)
THIS GIVE ME A HEADACHE JUST WATCHING THE VIDEO
Two cinder blocks high, difficult customer, customer cannot be satisfied
Well, they should have had the ground leveled first.
I was thinking of getting into this business.
It appears one would need to do a preliminary survey with a laser level to get an estimate on setting it down.
I'm surprised you set those blocks directly on grass.
Bought my shed from Backyard Sheds in Ohio...thought ground was level...wasn’t. Driver didn’t much care, and we didn’t know. Windows didn’t fit...owner was quite rude! Took them 3 mos to deliver. I would never recommend or buy from them again! It pays to ask and know what to do.
So sorry you had to deal with that
You "thought" the ground was level? That is on YOU, certainly not the delivery company.
How do (did) you charge when the customer is the one changing their mind?
The delivery is free so no charge
Are there no code requirements there? Don't the sellers send someone to look at the site or they're just worried about getting the money?
My guess is as long as a temporary building is on a temporary foundation (block) it is ok. No requirement for footers. Think about how sheds are commonly placed on a gravel pad.
It’s always interesting to see how other shed companies do things. Watching you all block that shed up just reminded me again why we don’t offer that service. We do up to 8 inches but not to the extent what you were doing. Saves everyone a lot of frustration 😛. I always wonder how people expect to use there shed when you need a step ladder to get in the thing! Nonetheless you did what the customer wanted, and it looks great.
Andrew Martin thanks appreciate it 😊 what co. Do you work for ?
Heritage Structures in New York.
Andrew Martin wow ,, awesome 😎 New York is a long ways away from us. I bet that’s interesting.
As long as the customer signs a waiver confirming they were advised otherwise.
Problem is, that as the "professional installer", you can't always sign away that liability if the customer demands something totally stupid and someone gets injured in the future.
I always see a front door landing area at minimum.
Perhaps you might put together a small video showing what is required for a level installation? Post something similar on your business website?
We are just the drivers we do not sell the buildings or have anything to do with them being sold all we do is deliver and set up after the buildings are sold or repo after they are behind on payments for two months
RUclips has plenty of videos on preparing for a shed base.
Yes
You did a great job but it is too bad they waited till you were almost finished to complain. I would have convinced her it needed to go sideways to avoid it being too high on the other end before I started.
I don't understand why the land isn't prepped as part of the whole deal ? I would never mount a shed on those type of blocks , They should have poured footings .
What's going to hold home down...in a storm.. or high winds... Don't like on blocks .looks week...I would have put concrete columns .. in the ground then put home on top.. and Anker it down.....
Yall did her a great job. People are so stupid . I cant deal with the public.
You did an excellent job of blocking that up.
I think use did a Great Job......😇
No preparation of pad, homeowner needs to work on that most of the times, poor little kids with that amount of pressure, they just deliverers, no ground preparator
Change of work order = Change of contract = added charge
She needed to have the ground grated and leveled. Now of she puts skirting on it that installer is going to be pissed. 😆
