Wow, that moment when Harry turns toward the camera hit me like a train, superbly acted and really well framed.

Without even knowing the diologue, the scene already looks so much better and has a connection to the audience. The initial scene has the characters eyeline drastically far from the lens, which takes away from the audience connection. I also have a bit of a theory that the further away the eyes from lens in todays hyper content world it takes people out of the performances even more then the past. Youngsters are used to seeing people looking straight at the camera, so I think it’s a thing. But that’s just me 😂 great job. Looking forward to seeing more.

cheers man thanks so much for watching and yeah great note about the eyelines. Eyelines is such an underrated and under discussed aspect of filmmaking

Beautifully self-reflective and a great breakdown of the actions taken. Love the Bergman framing device. A creative solution that goes a long way to improving the overall product and makes it creatively satisfying. And just a thought for further consolation, it shows confidence in the working environment you've created, your work ethic and the project as a whole that the team have come back for the reshoot. Great work Thomas.

Well done. Nice video. Pointing to Bergman as an influence and as a cure to a particular problem, was a smart move. And something others can learn from. - How was shooting on the gimbal? Did is cause any issues with the edit?

Thanks - yeah I meant to say shifting from shooting so much stuff tripod to gimbal has made a massive difference too giving the scene more life. No issues with editing all the the moves were just little moves drifting left and right and I kind of knew where my cuts were ahead of time
