The Hague has a population of about 565.000 inhabitants in 2023 (you mentioned 220.000 - in the description above - but that was around the year 1900 😄)

I always imagined The Hague to be a huge, grim-looking building protected with barbed wire, gun nests, and guard dogs where evil dictators were tried in court and then hanged.. But I never imagined it was actually a city. And it looks beautiful and a lot of fun.

The Hague certainly has a sea beach! Scheveningen, once a fishing village ⛵near the city, is a major seaside resort since about a century. Main attractions, apart from the beach itself 🌬🌊🏖 are the Kurhaus Hotel, the Pier with the ferris wheel 🎡 and of course the Boulevard with lots of small restaurants to enjoy all kinds of delicious foods 🥘🍰and drinks ☕🍹

The Hague is by far the greenest city of The Netherlands, with a lot of parks 🌳🌳🌳🌳plus the dunes, beach 🏖and the sea 🌊
