Raajan, everybody gets nervous of their first ever driving lesson. I was really nervous when I had mine for the first time and my instructor was so impressed with my driving skills especially my clutch control and my instructor took me somewhere quiet and start off doing basics. When I had my driving test back in November 2021, I was terrified and I actually passed first time with 3 minors! You’re doing really well!
Lmao 🤣 my driving instructor told me , I am natural at driving. I gave him this 👀😳look. After I pass my driving test, I will do my motorcycle test.
@@lavonnealexander6936 even my dad said I’m a natural driver when I’ve first gone out for a drive before 9 months later, I started doing my driving lessons with my instructor and passed my driving test first time since November 2021!

The start is always about the basics, getting used to controlling the car and overcoming the fear of driving, my first lesson I just did forward backwards driving and rounding bends but I was so unsure with a lack of confidence, I drove so slowly and yet still couldn't make the turns 🥲Fast forward to today, I'm gradually getting used to driving so it isn't such a chore and nerve racking activity anymore. In fact, I find it enjoyable now.

I passed my driving Test 4 Years ago and Didn't even know about this channel back then but I am glad I found it Because People often get really confident and cocky at the initial stages of driving thinking they are perfect now but sadly Every day while driving is a new experience and NO ONE is perfect. Despite Knowing how to drive I still come here and watch these videos on my spare time and gain more knowledge about different cars or rules or whatever it is. Remember This you new drivers its all cool at first but one small mistake could cost lives.
This's class-act teaching! Teaching without being obtrusive, while imparting serious knowledge in a totally chilled-out manner: I could hardly notice you were in the car with him except for when you speak. 👍

How did I become addicted to these videos about driving lessons? I started watching these when I started doing my own lessons in Australia, and now I’m just enjoying this channel after I passed on my third try. I guess it’s just fun sharing my journey with a wholesome community here.

Just did my first lesson about 20 minutes after watching this video, really useful stuff and the instructor was really pleased with the knowledge and actual ability. Funnily watching your videos the past 2 days essentially got rid of my nerves and anxiety and I went into the lesson with lots of confidence, so thank you for making these and showing how it all works. Because I was so quick to learn I was able to do quite a lot for my first lesson and only had three or four moments of panic when I was overwhelmed by my instructor's prompts.

Passed my test on Wednesday in an automatic, nit a flawless pass by any means but a pass none the less, these videos have helped me so much Pin, thank you, I'll keep watching as it's become quite a good way for me to remind myself of the correct things to do when driving.

This was me today, had my first ever lesson about an hour ago and I thought I did very bad and was so nervous but hopefully with more lessons I will get better
I have my first driving lesson this Friday so this is cool to also see a new learner driver who's doing the same stuff just before me
this is exciting seeing hopefully the beginning of a full journey of learning as taught by you again, brings back the memories of brandon haha...
Aww this takes me back to my first ever lesson, started learning in May 21 passed Feb 22, been a very long journey only just really gaining the confidence and starting to make small journeys alone without anyone sitting with me 🙈

I got to say I'm from us but I love the discipline of driving of uk I drive manual everyday from day 1 in America their is less of manual cars over here but I learn manual on my own watching uk videos and I'm very grateful

Thank you for these videos. They are helpful because my instructor threw me in the deep end, first lesson I was driving semi busy roads, did reverse parking and 3 point turning. I am glad he did that though, I think it was better for me to find my weaknesses immediately, but I prefer to hear someone talk through the basics anyways.

I have 20 hours of lessons planned on upcoming september 15th and a week before that my sister's gonna teach me to drive manual to be prepared for the 20 hour lessons and spend that time on more productive stuff. Very nervous and excited
I've not been in a car much in the last 2 years because of the global situation let alone driving it and my last car was written off while I was passenger so there's actually some really good points here mentioned to kind of refresh my own knowledge too. The thing with pivoting your foot and the heel placement etc is something I've probably not done optimally when not driving for a while and so I feel like it's difficult or tedious to swap between the two and maybe I was making it hard for myself
can you elaborate with the foot and heel pivoting please?
@@mint_au watch the video 16:46 - 18:40 (better explanation than I could do probably) - I thought you had you physically move your foot left from the gas to the brake but apparently you can just pivot. Also my personal preference is not to rest my clutch foot on the side, I like to have it ready at all times however it can be more tiring I guess

how old where you when you started taking lessons and did you do manual or auto ma'aam?
I'll remember my 1st driving lesson for a long time (since I've recently passed).
How it was? We headed on a parking lot of local stadium, where we obviously went through seat and mirrors adjustion, starting a car, why we ALWAYS keep a clutch down while starting (because if we leave on a gear, then the moment engine starts it'll send you either forward or backwards), starting from half-clutch and hands placement on a steering wheel (I'm not a fan of "milking a cow", which is what I see British doing, I was taught to do overwheel hands swapping).
Meanwhile on a 2nd lesson while practicing those skills on a certain loop I was told to take off on a street. Instructor knows this trick, because if he asked me first I'd hesitate, but after an order it somehow went smoothly. Maybe besides the fact, that I pulled on 2nd gear and only once I've changed 3rd gear).
Every time new things to learn. No end for learning.

Failed my test today with 5 serious. My anxiety took over it was so bad. Very disappointed my driving is so good but just couldn’t do it 😔
My advice: The more you try, the more a failure hurts.Try going on full rest. Not to mention the more you're stressed the more you are prone to mistakes. When I was passing in Poland (for obvious reasons of being a Pole) the only thing I've done not the best was perpendicular parking on my left. The rest was fine, otherwise the only time I could have failed was my paranoia (STOP and arrow painted on manuevers square told me to stop and turn on blinker, at least it wasn't a mistake) or almost touching a pole while turning back to the next task.
Good luck man, i also have problem on multi-tasking forgot to brake or lower gear sometimes and treating a manual like an auto. Very dangerous, only 4 times/session on the road.
5 serious doesn't sound good. My first test I was doing alright, I had like 4 minor faults and then I went over a kerb on the last corner to the test centre which is an automatic fail, probably because I was approaching the turn too quick and didn't slow down enough prior to turning also. Second time I did it right and passed with 2 or 3 but the instructor was trying to make me park closer to the kerb and I was like nah this is fine. Since passing I've seen some people pass who literally can park miles away from the kerb somehow. I also stalled on the test which I ended up passing because I didn't change into gear 1 and slowed down a fair amount into a side road. Just make sure you go through a mock test and are familiar around the test centre area etc a lot

@@sholandosmiguelito6508 mine was ass ion as I left the test centre I positioned on the wrong side but having no road markings made it 10 times worse. But very nervous and feeling disappointed hurts the most when Ik I am a good driver

My first time, my instructor made me go to a very busy road lol
I just had my first refresher lesson recently (I had lessons back in the 90s, plenty of them, but then failed my theory test so didn't bother) so the instructor said he will start with me as if I'm a newcomer to driving, which is absolutely fine with me as it was SO LONG ago....but I have a query to ask....... in the whole time for the lesson (2hrs) I only drove halfway along my road. That's as far as I drove in two hours, most of the lesson was spent talking through what you've just gone through above........is that normal/right?? I was raring to go, to get into that car and start driving. I expected I would.
I'm feeling a bit at a loss from the lesson.

I passed my driving exam in Bulgaria on the second try back in 2018. My whole experience with the driving lessons was a complete mess and honestly it was such a shame that I wasted so much time on the wrong instructor. I started in 2017 but I couldn’t stand my instructor, he was always angry, he allowed himself to smack me on the legs if I did something wrong and was always raising his voice. I wasted a whole year simply because every hour with him was dreadful. On my first exam I was failed because I stalled at an intersection while waiting for the light.. mind if was red the whole time - i stalled, I started again, continued waiting turned green and he told me to stop on the bus stop and that I failed, I was not even allowed to continue. Second exam I passed without even one minor but I took extra lessons from another instructor before that. If I only knew about your channel then.. if I only changed instructor sooner… honestly I’m so happy seeing people like you, helping and being patient and calm, I wish you teach me how to drive. I still have anxiety while driving because I was always under stress of doing a mistake and yelled at if I did. Such a shame…. Keep up the good work! 💯😊
Don't teach them when to change gears by knowing how many Mph ? You force them to look at the speedometer... it's all about feeling and hearing, the eyes are for the road... that's how I thought my students, just an opinion
