Like I said in the other comment... the original carries a really intense feeling of "Why is there nothing behind my back...!?" with it, that feeling the entire Higurashi story carries so strongly. And... really, I am still impressed as hell by how perfectly you captured that feeling, and the lyricism is amazing as well; knowing the Anime, I constantly get reminded of certain things by certain lines, and that is eerily awesome. Hell, you even got the backwards "nigerarenai" _(that "hanni hanni hare hi")_ right, indicating further that you know the Anime in question and are able to write proper lyrics for its opening. ... seriously, this IS your masterpiece ^^ And now I'm done WoTing. :)

The beginning got me! I'm still a bit youngish (teen) but I wasn't expecting that! I was expecting the op writhing the normal animation which may be considered creepy to some people. Well it is the middle of the night so I am a bit more sensitive to that kind of stuff right now... And really nice job on the singing, and scaring the crap outa me ;)
This is a really awesome cover, with great lyrics that really capture the insanity that is this great anime. I usually don't really like those english covers of anime openings/endings, because when most people translate they fuck up the amount of syllables in a sentence XP I get it, it's quite hard to get the right amount, but most of the time the lines just don't sound really well XP Anywho, well done!

I am not the biggest fan of the vocals, they are certainly not a deal breaker. I would have preferred a female singer but w.e. However I will say that I am absolutely in love with the way the lyrics transitioned over and their interpretation. It's nothing short of excellent.
