Because it's either an odd way to say "take my hand," or he's legit saying "TAKE THESE FINGERS I CHOPPED FROM THE HAND OF A CHILD MANY YEARS AGO. RUN AWAY."
Because he's not saying "take _my_ fingers," he says "take _these_ fingers".
It's dangerous to go alone, take these chopped baby fingers with you.
Jay Walker Well, he says "Take _my_ fingers, run away," at first, but then says "take _these_ fingers, long decayed." So I don't know, but I think he means take my hand. Regardless, I gave your comment a like because it made me laugh.
Seems more like a reference to the dam construction manager who's hand was still missing 5 years later. The whole song seems to be from the point of view of one of the victims and it would kind of fit. Don't know the precise lyrics, but this one definitely feels like that.
I think the fingers thing was talking about the hammering fingers from one of the chapters.

I really love this cover. Normally I'm not really into covers done with male vocals, but I think this is perfect. The beginning though, I can't get over the maniacal laugher. I love it so much omg xD

Okay... listened to quite a few other covers by you.
But - I can't help but think this is your masterpiece. Like I said in the other comment... the original carries a really intense feeling of "Why is there nothing behind my back...!?" with it, that feeling the entire Higurashi story carries so strongly.
And... really, I am still impressed as hell by how perfectly you captured that feeling, and the lyricism is amazing as well; knowing the Anime, I constantly get reminded of certain things by certain lines, and that is eerily awesome.
Hell, you even got the backwards "nigerarenai" _(that "hanni hanni hare hi")_ right, indicating further that you know the Anime in question and are able to write proper lyrics for its opening.
... seriously, this IS your masterpiece ^^

... wow. I came here not expecting much, but this is good.
The lyrics are very well chosen and fit the feeling Higurashi gives you - this creeping feeling of doom just behind your back, but when you turn around then nothing's there... it fits that well.

This is a really awesome cover, with great lyrics that really capture the insanity that is this great anime. I usually don't really like those english covers of anime openings/endings, because when most people translate they fuck up the amount of syllables in a sentence XP I get it, it's quite hard to get the right amount, but most of the time the lines just don't sound really well XP Anywho, well done!

The beginning got me! I'm still a bit youngish (teen) but I wasn't expecting that! I was expecting the op writhing the normal animation which may be considered creepy to some people. Well it is the middle of the night so I am a bit more sensitive to that kind of stuff right now... And really nice job on the singing, and scaring the crap outa me ;)
