2:45 That was such a catchy commercial back in the day.
Photon was another awesome show. I remember the story was that one of the main bad guys was once a good guy. I know there were the Photon toys which were very similar to the Laser Tag toys. I forgot if there was a Laser Tag show.
The “rap line” is now a FAX machine, 😭
I love this show! I wish this show were more readily available.
Wooooow! Those Entertech automatic water guns were some of the coolest toys that my mother ever purchased for my brother and I. Even kept them years after the triggers broke hoping to one day get them repaired. Damn, I miss my AK Centerfire.
LOL I got in SOOOOOOO much trouble for bringing my Entertech water gun to a school field trip to a local swimming pool when I was in the third grade. Back then then only "criminals and punks" had them because they looked real enough to hold up a bank with.
but nowadays you'd go to jail for that, not just get in trouble! :O

@YouthFreedomFighters It was somewhere close to the Oranges in Jersey. Don't remember exactly where because it was by where my cousin lived... plus I was like 8 years old.

@mr80stvshows So which local Photon center did you go to? They had them all throughout the country.
@dynomitis Then it makes sense to watch the DVDs instead of watching it on television, that way you can watch more than one episode at a time AND you don't have to sit through commercials.
@wtcvidman Yep yet another under-appreciated show. I liked it a lot. Yes I have a bunch of the episodes and I know that one. It was when they flashback to the villain "Mandarr's" past. I had a Photon gun and there was a local "Photon Center" which was pretty cool. There was a Lazer Tag cartoon as well, and lasted as long as the Photon show did. lol

@dynomitis Cool, well I usually just watch stuff like that on DVD, Ive got the entire first season of the Thundercats on DVD. I usually always watch shows on DVD now days rather than television.
The most amazing part of this time capsule is the commercial from the Mormons! They are teaching a child not to lie by subjecting him to a tap dancing cadre of gay men- Broadway style! It's so surreal I almost can't believe it. "Hey son, you know Jesus disapproves of deception- so take this! A gay chorus line!!!" Oh how sublime the 80s are, you learn not to lie while at the same time you learn to look FABULOUS.
because apparently only gay men sing or something.
The irony is that later on Trey Parker and Matt Stone make a musical mocking the church
