- Today we were fishing in Lake Johnson in the Offline Tournament mode. I love this new spot I found in Baker's Bay. Guys, sometimes hotspots dry up and you have to find alternatives.
Used my bass set up with 20 Lb Fluorocarbon Line by RidgeMonkey and some different lures. Watch video for details.

Another great spot for bass fishing in Lake Johnson: ruclips.net/video/iBYi0t5YD0Q/видео.html
A little trick I’ve found with poor strikes is turn the drag down and keep it away from the ! And you’ll be golden. I turn the drag down to 13 when using 14lb on poor strikes and i haven’t lost a fish since I tried that. Also, use total cast control if you can! It’s way better in my opinion once you get it down.
Thanks for the tip Brandon, I definietly got a bit more experienced since this vid was published lol, but I haven't gotten around trying the total cast yet, but I am definitely gonna give that a try. Sure hated losing those massive bass when you get a poor strike. Good luck!
Me and my buddies played a drinking game while watching this, everytime you say the word "guys" we took a shot haha.. We were wasted just after 4 minutes. Thank you
Caught lots of bass here, 7 of them were 10+lb bass in that spot largest being over 15lbs! Used the reflex buzzbait-black plague lure the whole time. Thanks for the location tip!
Wow 7, 10+ pounders is a great haul! Glad it worked out for you, and thanks for your support.
Had similar results with 2 15lb bass
Could not have asked for a better spot. I caught 3 11 pounders and a 15 in one day. Truly the best fishing I’ve done in this game
That's awesome!
Thanks for this caught 58 pounds of fish and won my match multiple 11 pounders on a bluegill buzz bait
Thanks for the support. I love the Buzzbaits for bass, and that's an awesome haul. Cheers.
I tried this spot for the Florida State Championship in career mode and it was amazing. Used the Yum Christie Craw Natural and caught nothing but Largemouth, several of them 10lbs or more!
That's awesome. I love the YUM Christie Craw, I just caught a 16lb bass in Lake Guntersville with one of those. Thanks for the comment and I'm glad it was a good spot!
Amazing spot I caught my pb (15 lb 3oz) then a 14lb and a 12pb 2oz my first tournament thanks g
59lb total at the end**
Hey adrian, that's awesome. Those are some big bass, glad it worked out for you!
Let's Go Fishing Sim hell ya keep it up I fw your channel
yes i agree it’s amazing i caught the same 15 lb bass with 2, 12 lb, and 2, 14 lb for about 65 lb finish
@@ajhendrickson7204 That's awesome man!
Thanks for the hot spot love it
Well. I used to play this game , just recently went back to playing it and the hotspots dont seem to be working anymore.. what a shame.. some still do but not all of them, hope someone can find some more or the game can be updated so stuff still works right..
61lb tourney limit from that spot👌🏼
Nice
47.7 lb from that spot
I got 78Ib
Thanks man! Good stuff!
Glad to help!
I catched a trophy in my first cast, thank you!
You're welcome!
It's crazy how unpredictable this game is. You think you find a good spot and you go back and not a single bite! Lol
Sometimes it's a piss off.
Yeah, the fish sometimes move, can be frustrating but challenging too.
nice spot mate thx so much, ben parker spoons work there as well, tight lines
Thanks!
This was very very insightful!!! Thank You
You're welcome :), thanks for watching!
Caught 61lbs thanks for the location.
Nice haul! thanks for watching
I have no doubt it worked for you and others but it definitely isn’t a glitch hot spot.. like for other people, it was nothing special, just a bass and a small pike..
Is the striking issue due to setting the hook straight back every time regardless of the directing the fish strikes and swims away? I heard you need to set the hook in the opposite direction of the strike
Yes, it could be a thing but honestly I always find it's more about the timing itself. I personally prefer to strike straight back and works fairly consistently for me, this video was one of my first ones too so I was less experienced, but it is a possibility that it might be better doing it depending on the direction. Thanks for the comment!
@@LetsGoFishingSim thanks for all the info. I really enjoy this game. Something I can be fully engaged when i want, or casually set the controller down whenever need be. The fluctuation of hot spots keeps me I my toes just enough. Sometimes I destroy competition in a spot, sometimes I sweat and try something new or move to an unknown spot
@@Spentelectrons You're welcome, that's what I find fun about the game too, it does always vary. Glad you're having fun, keep it up!
great vid ty ty
Thanks!
As always you da man.
Thanks man!
What do I do if I keep getting the “constant” sign but no bites?
For bass fishing? You should be jigging up to set the hook when you see the exclamation mark!
I'm having such a hard time playing the PS4 version on my PS5. I swear the game doesn't load any fish sometimes. I can literally go hours without catching a single fish using every type of bait, line, pole, reel, spots you all use and not a single fish.
Glad I’m not the only one still playing and looking these up lol same issues too

I got a couple tips based off what I feel works. For bass fishing, I've found the Rat-L-Trap Blue Black Herring works great to target fish in waters 20ft or shallower. Now I know they say the fish finder shows fish under the boat but they don't say at what angle. I was on Lake Johnson testing a theory and it worked. What I was doing was driving the boat with the fish finder split 50/50 so half showed fish the other side was map. If 4 or more fish showed up on that tiny map, I'd stop. I found the very first cast does not catch fish if you're quick about stopping the boat and quickly going into casting a line. I get the feeling there literally are no fish. First cast spawns fish. If you're slow about casting, the fish will spawn and you might get lucky catching a fish on your first cast but the chance is so low it's Virtually zero. So 4 fish on the finder, I stop boat and quickly get the trolling motor in. First cast spawns fish. I have the feeling the fish finder is showing fish directly in front of you. The game tutorial says fish are "under you" but they don't say in which direction. Obviously they're under you but are they under the boat or directly in front of you? I found they are directly in front of you. If I cast directly in front of the boat and eyeball at what depth the fish are at, my 2nd or 3rd cast with that Rat-L-Trap Blue Black Herring usually catches them if they're bass. I just have to make sure the depth of my lure is close to the depth of the fish on the fish finder. This also works on this Lake Boulder map but you have to find spots where the depth of the lake is less than 20ft. The lure can sink to whatever depth you want but you'll lose valuable time waiting for it to get to the depth you see fish at. 90% of the time, I can catch fish directly in front of the boat. 10% of the time, I will catch fish anywhere other than the front of the boat. I'm working on the far left spawn point dock on this Lake today and heading slightly north west. There is an inlet there where water is 19-21ft deep and it's a hot spot for bass. The only problem is there's also Salmon and Pike and that lure targets them in a 1-5 ratio. I'll catch 5 bass before I catch 1 salmon or Pike using this lure. I keep catch around 26lbs of Bass and am having a hard time breaking 32lbs which is what the AI keep getting. Time runs out and another 1000TP is lost haha. This lure has been great though. I've read all the other comments and tried to see how well they do but none are as good as this Rat-L-Trap Blue Black Herring 3.5" model. The Echo Red Crawfish is good but it targets Pike alot easier.
@@michaelenochs4033 jeez man it seems like you’ve put up with a lot lol that’s my issue too tho I keep getting the wrong fish thanks for the tips tho if I ever find something out I’ll lyk😂

I DID IT!!!! Finally! I'm saving the video clip now. There's definitely something different from Xbox and PlayStation because I can't pull fish out like this RUclipsr can. However, I did it with some help from him. There is a bass spawner right where I thought there was. Choose the northwestern dock spawn point, load in and go directly northwest. Just get in your boat and head left. At the end of the docks will be an embankment with lilies and then a boat launch. You can't miss it, there's a white truck parked on the boat launch. I used a Fitzgerald Fishing-Stunner HD Spinning rod, 13 Fishing Prototype X Reel, 20lbs Monkey Flourocarbon test line, and The 48 - Milk Money 4.8" worm. Between the docks and the boat launch is a bass spawner and there's also another spawner to the right of the boat launch. If you've ever played Minecraft, you'd know what I mean by a spawner. You can literally see them in the water spawning in the shoreline and swimming around. I watched 5 spawn out of the water and then swim away with their fins sticking out lol... I just quickly went to the end of the docks and then trolled my way in. And of course, first cast didn't do anything because like I said, I swear if you're too fast the fish haven't loaded in. All I did was focus on the left side of that boat launch and nailed them. I got up to 32lbs within 11 minutes with 9 minutes to go and the competition caught right up with me. I nailed a 6lbs'er and the competition hit 32lbs and then 34lbs while I had 38lbs. This damn computer is grueling and unremorseful on PlayStation. Another trick I learned, that kind of sucks that you have to do this because it costs TP is to just go fish another dock spawn point. I get the feeling this resets that original boat launch area. Then go back and try fishing the boat launch. I haven't caught bass anywhere on that lake as much as I have at that boat launch. It's only like 100 yards Northwest of your spawn in the Northwest. Just follow the docks counterclockwise and you'll see the boat launch. I'm so over this map that I'm going to upload a video to help other people if they're on PlayStation and experiencing the same issues as me. Now I just have to beat the Lake Waldsee Carp Tournament and I'll die a free man.
@@michaelenochs4033 lmaoooooo amen thanks man i have to do that damn waldsee too😂😂💀 and honestly another bait I’ve been using that had been like magic on bass and trout, and occasionally a pike or musky is the Booyah One Knocker Tiger Craw I saw someone say it’s nice and it really is I’ve been slapping fish around with it
Thanks man. It helped. New to this game. Can you tell me an easy and quick way to get tp
Easiest way to get TP is to to do offline tournaments! When you win an offline tournament you can get up to 15,000 TP. I find carp offline tournaments are the easiest to win. Here's a tutorial on carp:ruclips.net/video/40FF9bO8JdU/видео.html Good luck!
@@LetsGoFishingSim thanks man, tried it and got some easy money
@@LetsGoFishingSim just finished gigantica. Was not getting much with that dm rig, so mixed it with hinge rig 4 monster red and krank rig2 scb and won it
@@vamsipunuru1220 That';s a nice set up man. that's how you get a ton of TP and XP
I didn’t catch a single fish in 20 mins where you were using your techniques
Hey i just subbed got the game do you have any tips of how to get a gar pike or anything like that I really want to catch one
?
Hey thanks for support! check out: ruclips.net/video/zLdyqrWBHOw/видео.html that's a predator hotspot in Lake Miller, and ruclips.net/video/B09ahlcj6b0/видео.html where I caught some big muskies in Lake Boulder. I also found a good spot for trout in Lake Miller:ruclips.net/video/x5DBBDiMehU/видео.html
I haven't been able to find a spot where I can get gar consistently but I have been trying. Good luck!
OMFG ,just went in on line comp, same place same tackle and 1 fish in 10 min wth lol
Yeah, lol this game is not always predictable. Sometimes, results vary. It's why I like it!
What's the best lure for them, non dlc?
For bass I like: Gizzard and Red Crawfish rat l traps, Yum Crawfish, Buzzbait Black Plague, Swimbaits, and the 48 milkmoney
thanks bro over 60 lbs
Nice work! Glad I could help.
Thanks caught a 16.1 here
That's awesome!

Thanks for the support!
Can u tell me how or where I get the roach head baits or any of the fish head bait .its not in the store ...thanks if u can helpp
@@dennyhodges5463 Yes buddy, for them to be available you need to have a set up like what you would use for carp and coarse fishing. They are under those baits under deadbaits!
I looked in both all that was dead bait was small worms
@@dennyhodges5463 You have to have a number 2 hook for the dead baits to be an option. I recommend you start with a dark matter rig.
Must have nurfed this spot, recommenced setup, not 1 fish in 20 mins
I just had 132 inches and 3 trophy fish on Yum Christie Craw natural and Rat L Trap Gizzard Shad. Spot is still good
Sorry to hear you're having trouble friend. Haven't tried the spot in a while, some people have luck on the other side of the dock as well. I made a new hotspot video for Lake Johnson, it's my next upload, it's basically at the very top of the map as far north as you can go, ton a bass in that area. Good luck!
Actually, I screwed up - the latest video is on Lake Travis which has spot all the way north in the map. There's another spot in Lake Johnson, go to Baker's Bay turn all the way right with your boat and go straight, you will see a long concrete wall with some Lilly pads to the right of it, lots of big bass in that area! I might make a video on that spot, but it's pretty popular so I think there's videos about that one out there already. Hopefully, that works for you
This spot was absolute garbage don’t go there
Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the spot. I just pulled out a 14lb bass out there yesterday. One thing you can try is leave this little cove and turn left when you get to the main body of water, you will see a couple of rocks and lily pads, that spot works well for me too. Use your top water lures to make sure you can see fish chasing the lures and then move on if no fish are biting. Here's another spot I found in lake Johnson: ruclips.net/video/iBYi0t5YD0Q/видео.html. Good luck!
