@@kevinmeasley7806 You will have to use another computer to install windows installer on a flash drive. Then plug it into your motherboard and then install and type in the key.

@@ThisBytesForYou Yes sir. I just slapped together a nice gaming machine for wifey. She seems very happy with it, and I'm glad I'll not need to worry about the OS expiring. There was a slight challenge: I used the fast checkout mode and it didn't have a place to enter the discount code (unless I simply missed it). Anyway I paid full price, but later contacted the company to make sure you get whatever you do from this type of sale (gave them your channel and code) and I get a refund on the difference. It's currently processing, so we'll see how it goes.

On your computer that you activated in this video, if you run the following command via the command line: slmgr /dlv in the pop-up screen that appears, in the Description line, does it say Retail Channel, OEM, or something else?
it is OEM, I found out afterwards, I was told it was retail, apparently the person I spoke to from Softwarekeep was incorrect. I also had it listed in the description.

The thing is since it is a bunch more expensive than other windows key sites, do they sell an OEM licence key; or is it a retail key like the ones you get by buying from Microsoft? Also, if it's a Retail key, am i able to reactivate it even if i change my PC's motherboard? Thankyou!

Hello my friend, yes this key is more expensive that the others, I go over the reasons why in this video as well as a coupon code to get it cheaper, but I think it make sense to pay a little more upfront now, rather than later. Also, I don't make commission off of it, just me trying to help you. This is an OEM key, not a retail, that is the part I don't like but when you buy from those other sites, they may say OEM or retail, but you have no real way of knowing till you already buy it and you have a Microsoft account and link it up. I have switch it once from board to board and it caused issues, but their support helped me, so please be careful with that. Retail you can switch boards a certain amount of times and you will be fine. And always a pleasure my friend, check out the video and you will learn so much and see my interaction with support.

never buy keys on a subscription service if you can avoid it, buy it one and done like here, and yes, the keys still work.

slmgr -dli
it will show you what type of product key you have and also the last 4 digits!

Are these retail keys you can transfer when you upgrade your motherboard, or an OEM version just good for 1 computer?
I state it in the description, these are OEM keys. When I was first approached about this I was informed they were retail, but I come to find out the person I worked was was either misinformed or confused. I found out trying to help and support the video by talking with support and they told me that they were OEM.

You got lucky my friend, it doesn't always play out like that. Many times I have seen in the groups I frequent, people have to keep buying keys because the ones they have become bad either instantly or within a few weeks.
That's because it's windows 10.

Lifetime, or lifetime of the board at least at least for a few months where you should be able to move it to a new board if need be since it's an OEM key. Though at times it's a retail key then it can go with any board.

It's simple. They are selling grey market keys. yes it's activate and genuine but illegal to use if you don't live in that county.
You might be in that country I assume as I have bought 3 keys and more of these coming soon. So far I have had one issue and it was my fault, and they fixed it for me. They are certified gold Microsoft partners.

All these names are mentioned on theirs website. And there is no results in partners dir. So I don't see any legit proofs of partnership with ms

Are you nuts? I'm looking for keys in like the $5-10 range, not full price. I could find full price keys anywhere 😂😂😂. And I've bought many gray marker keys and never once has Microsoft revoked it. They'd rather you use their platform
that's not always the case, but yes, many times it will work. This is not full price either, but is a reduced price with also the fact that they replace your key if the issues arises, I have known many to buy the gray market keys to have them go bad quickly, eventually surpassing the price of the keys offered here but it doesn't always happen and nuts, maybe.
@@ThisBytesForYou if you buy on eBay they (eBay) will refund you if the key is broken and you complain. I bet g2a would do the same thing (they do it for game codes). In my experience they hold sellers accountable

Has to be a scam. Microsoft doesn’t sell discounted keys. Are they pretending to be an OEM installer and builder of a new pc and selling those keys? The reviews are also fishy. They have ONE more review since you checked them out. I highly doubt that.
You could easily find out, I've bought 2 windows keys and one office key, all still work perfectly.

@@ThisBytesForYou the difference is oem is tied to the hardware it is initially installed on, and retail can transfer to a other computer, or upgrade. I did contact them and they are oem copies.
That's not the way it works, I was a product development engineer for alienware, dell and velocity micro. Oem, or at least the oem you are talking about is oem activation and for that you don't need a physical key, install and activate, unless of course it's 7, then you use the key on the COA and then it activated but you can use any key.
Every download you can even back to windows vista is oa activated and you be would use an oa slp 2.0 key, 8 and above utilizes oa slp 3.0, slightly different, much more difficult for the oem but to the consumer all the same. Anything you download today will work with the keys you buy here.
Amd to Intel and visa versa has nothing to do with it h the keys.... It's all in the hardware abstraction layer and drivers of course though it's not so much an issue since windows vista.
Oem activation is tied to the bios on the motherboard, so it doesn't really care about the hardware it was initially installed to, aside from the bios. Any hardware you add to that motherboard, you are good but on oem slp 2.0 and lower bios' you would lose that if you flashed the bios on retail boards at least. Anything else you are confused about?

You purchased a key from this site and when you used this key for the first time it says your key is not valid, if you did what I just said and your key is not valid, wouldn't you think you should contact their support as I mention? LOL
@@ThisBytesForYou I did and they didn't reply, that's why I commented lmao. Then I finally got ahold of them when I saw the "chat" option which opened a sketchy third party messenger. They then told me a couple fixes and neither of them worked and they told me they had to take remote control of my pc and they'd put it in so it'd work..... NO. Ended up getting a different key from elsewhere and hoping I can get a refund bc between that and the bits in between I didn't mention that was an awful experience. Even the guy that I talked to in chat was unprofessional and just plain rude from the start. Nobody that shared my experience would have ever allowed him/them remote access.
@@Lurch-11 I did a follow up video about this, ruclips.net/video/XFQ2peenH_8/видео.html and I ran into the same issue when I tried to use that key on a different motherboard. The person I spoke to was very nice, through from chat, but they did have to remote into the machine to see the issue and about 15 minutes later the issue was fixed. It was myfault since I used the key twice so close together on different motherboards but I get it, fi they are rude you wouldn't want to let them. would you by chance have the email communications, and/or the persons email so I can forward that to the person I spoke to, maybe the can help.
Just buy a regular key and avoid the shady websites.
you can, but many people want to save a buck, I prefer a store bought copy (store bought would mean more Amazon/Newegg, I want the retail packaging and all) but after having used them for sometime, I think they are great.

As a Microsoft partner for over 20 years, since I have Microsoft Certificates, I would never do that, I risk losing my certificates and I have worked for software developers, so I know how bad theft hurts a company, I can't do that. This is how to do it legally.

For the life of me I wish that windows itself would simplify things and just offer $20 yearly keys or $50 one system/motherboard keys.
I tried Whoskeys first, but their website is based outside of the US and my bank don't like that, I'm still standing in protest against PayPal for getting too personal with people, ... then I tried a so called free enterprise key, at first it seemed to work, then it was endless bluescreens of death, ... then I tried a work around to just get rid of the water mark, it did work for a few days but then it came back again... so I tried this, software keep, from this video with his code... So far So good, it did empty my bank account, but it is US based so my bank allowed the payment and it was $87 vs $160 for a windows 11 pro key. Hope to God it all continues to be legit and working for the life of the PC.

Many people complain that the price is high, its not the cheapest but you dont have to keep buying keys, till the price becomes more expensive, pay a little more now and not worry about it later, so its great. Ahem... nice video as always you did but command prompt exists. I had once activated my friend's pc when I formatted and reinstalled windows for him. that sure works 100% as he was having windows 7 and I upgraded it to 10. Sure works 100% and it's 100% free too.

@@ThisBytesForYou because there are some commands you can use in command prompt to fully activate windows. also let it be 7, 10 or anything, he always ran unactivated windows. So it was also my first time activating his windows
there are for sure but as a certified Microsoft partner (before I became a reviewer), I have to stay 100% legit, also I cannot recommend any sort of piracy to my viewers, can get both of us in a lot of trouble and it steal money from the company and from the people within the company, I have work for and with developers, I respect them highly and I would never do that. Unactuated does work, but after a period of time, you begin to lose features and performance, also supposedly Microsoft will be cracking down on that at some point.
@@ThisBytesForYou yeah looks like it. although it may sound good but this is another reason why i shifted to Linux Mint. Literally no license, no piracy, no nothing. Every native linux games, all softwares, and linux itself is open source. To each their own but we should financially support the developers
yeah for sure, I do respect Linux as well, it is great but I think the reason why it is so under developed as to what it could be is that there are thousands of people working on it, working on something different, working privately on things, then they bring it to light, instead of working in the collective, though I know many do collective as well, if the Linux community worked together (not fragmenting 3000 different flavors of the OS) it can be much further.
