Ive always had a special place in my heart for this gen GTO. Such an underappreciated car.
When I see a 2004-2006 GTO I gotta look and listen. These are gems.

The best part about this for me is the lack of a check engine light or a "Oil Change Required" flashing on the dashboard
Sounds amazing when reving, taking off, and accelerating. Definitely one of the best sounding car so far this year though

I have SLP Exhaust and Kooks headers with high-flow cats on my 04, I fabricated it to have dual exhaust as well, the sound is heavenly

I have an 04 GTO 5.7L.. I'm wanting to do basically the same thing, longtube headers and an SLP loudmouth exhaust and then a camshaft kit.. Been trying to find a good place to do mine and price how much it would cost to do the longtube headers and SLP exhaust..
He should have done done two pipes on the other side

That thing is sick AF. But how did he get by with nixing cats and not having sensor issues and check engine lights? Even on an ‘04 that stuff was in play.
had it tuned out. That's the only way around it. Or putting spacers on the rear O2 sensors can SOMETIMES trick the computer. but seeing as it didn't even look like they were there he had a tune done and deleted the rear O2 sensors. the only sensors O2 sensors you have to have are the fronts for timing and spark
@@tflory758 Gotcha- I’m not really looking for performance on my truck- just a good sound and I got what I want with a y pipe behind the 3rd cat- and straights out the back. I don’t even have a K-N air filter on this one. Only other thing I’ve done is plug in a Range disabler into the diag port to prevent it switching from v8 to v4. A shop manager friend told me her husbands heads on his Silverado were ruined from that. The fuel mileage savings are negligible with that switching thing and well worth the $ to prevent it.
I did shorties and high flow cats setup on my 06 GTO and mfer threw a check engine light the first few hours 😅
