    I remember seeing this, when it first came out, when I was a kid. I loved it! I'm glad to have finally found it, and been able to watch it again.
    Those old after school specials had a lot of meaning for us kids.

    A shame the way kids treat kids with disabilities.I guess it's just the nature of being a kid.BUT,I want to say this:I did it too!And I must say that it has absolutely HOUNDED me my whole life some of the mean things I did as a kid.I feel absolutely terrible about it.
    No I wasn't some mean bully,but I did my share of teasing,and I fully regret it today.So if you're young,and reading this,think twice before picking on kids because of disabilities that they have through no fault of their own.
    These kids are special,and I really mean it,they are unique and should be respected for who they are.

      Can you go make amends? It would help you too.

    • @larkatmic
      @larkatmic 2 года назад +1

      Same here. I was bullied as well for being a sensitive kid. I had to give them my milk money and lunch my mom made. I never told anyone because back then you were raised to face and overcome your issues. One of them used to follow me home and kick me on his bike and call me fairy. I used to call him ‘bean dip’ behind his back. By 4th grade I was so fed up with them. I finally fought back and stood up to them. I hit this kid Arther so hard his nose started bleeding. And then I hit him some more until the nuns separated us. They never bothered me again. I was so proud of myself and rushed home to tell my dad. He wasn’t exactly happy about it but said you did what you needed to do. The next year I became a bully myself to a nerdy kid. I was merciless with him until we moved the following year and I started a new school. I never bullied anyone ever again after that. I’ve always felt so guilty about what I did to that kid, who, looking back was basically just like me. A loving sensitive kid who never wanted to harm anyone but just wanted acceptance and friendship. Wish we had been friends. Maybe in the next world.

      You are so brave to talk about this and face your own past this way. In my opinion, going back to make amends would not be as productive as being a good role model and talking about your experiences with the current young set, be it your nieces & nephews or any kids in your world.

    Thank You! Been watching for this for decades, hoping someone would love it as much as I did and would post it! You are my hero. A good, sweet screenplay derived from a classic, beautiful, young adult story of triumph over tragedy and trauma. The best stories can make an impact in a few short minutes in the hands of good writing and good acting. This made my day.

It's all I've watched since lol but this one has by far been the best one I've watched so far 😊 I've always loves Stuart Peterson I just wish he hadn't quit acting so soon! He was such a good actor and such a handsome young man and is still a handsome older man 😊😊 my favorite movie he did has to be Seven Alone!! I cry every time I watch it! And the thought of it being a true story makes it even better!! 🥰🥰

    Wow Wow such a good short film Perfect one with such a great lesson..and that boy is defintely a symbol for purity and love. Humanity needs to be more tolerent and sensitive to others and defintely more supportive and full of love !! Never judging anyone no matter what !!!
    He needed to march in a very difficult way and when you strive for something you can achieve your goals and the most important thing is to believe in yourself and show first to yourself and the others, ghat you can succeed and be so proud of yourself.
    Tha man who believed in him , helped him and became a real friend is a proof that everything is possible !! He was so lucky that the older guy was with him all the way.. and the dancer gave him a real stage to be himself.. They were excellent and wondeful together..👏🙏
    His surprise in the end showed all of them that he is a big star 🔝🔝
    Be good as a person and offer help to the other.. He is a symbol of victory !! Satisfaction of victory ❣❣❣🔝🔝🔝💎💎💎💙💙💙

    It says something about me, or about the media shown to my gen growing up, that when that man offered Tuck his first skating lesson, I went swiftly to the comments to read the vibe because I was afraid he was going to take advantage of Tuck. For the following reasons: He was starting to gain tucks trust, tuck showed his vulnerability by speaking to the man, and he told the man he didn’t like school, he didn’t yet know that tuck had tension at home, but we knew that, and the show started with some ptsd symptoms. It was really starting to feel like a grooming set up that would end in a worse case scenario for Tuck. I ran to the comments so I could prepare myself, and stop watching if it sounded bad, but thank the heaventies it’s got a happy ending…did anyone else have a similar experience?

I thought the dad was a little unfair to the son and I was afraid he would tell him to not go back to the skating rink but he didn't, especially when he saw the $ he made skating! It's nice to watch such tender movies without cussing, drinking or Hollywood nude scenes.
