I dont even want to skip the commercials. The early 90's was like its own mini decade. Great shows, great video games, and no social media or cell phones😊
@@pinebarrenpatriot8289 so you are saying that the early 90s felt like it spanned 10 years? IS this what you are saying? ANd last I checked, the early start of any decade is coming off the ending parts of the previous one culturally. And cell phones did exist in the early 90s. They weren't as commonplace, but plenty of Saved By the Bell episodes featured Zack Morris on a cell phone. They also had car phones which were effectively mobile phones.

My first thought..... Great. Not only are there tv commercials in the movie, but also RUclips commercials. Great. And then, nostalgia came to play and all was well in the world of commercials.
Week of 12/2-12/6/1991, as the Family Matters episode said to air Friday aired on 12/6/1991. ABC Afterschool specials aired on Thursdays back in the day normally, so this is probably from 12/5/1991, though this special aired originally on 2/22/1990
Sam Rockwell played in another one of my favorite Afterschool Specials about drunk driving. He played a guy who drank and drove and accidently offed another graduating student. Instead of spending life in prison, the victim's parents charged Sam to write a check for $1 every week for every year their daughter was alive. If he failed to do so, then he would spend life in prison.
They made us watch that in Junior High life skills class (Spring '92). I remember thinking that I would have taken the prison sentence over the $1 a week for eighteen years. That was one savage sentence.
The boyfriend in the hall scenes during 15:20+ minutes was the kid that ended up in 21 Jump Street angry at having gotten AIDS and trying to kill himself. A really good episode with Johnny Depp being a true friend.
Some of the acting is just so....so BAD😂😂 4:10 The guy on the edge of the pool played a young Elvis Presley in an episode of Quantum Leap (original) The guy getting out of the pool has been in a lot of things since but I remember him as the prisoner that killed the little girls in The Green Mile.
My husband is 57 and how extraordinary his body looks similar to those young men depicting teenagers😊. Lol, those teenagers don’t have any hair on their chests. My husband does and he is also muscular, unlike those teenagers.
How utterly weird of you to make this comment, comparing your "husband" to adolescents from DECADES ago, lol! Who on earth would a) Care b) Believe you or, c) Gain any kind of positive impression of either of you? SERIOUSLY creepy, and that's coming from a PEER from your era. Just GROSS!

yea on other afterschool ones that are older, the commercials were awesome to watch brings back great memories.
Lol😂
the 90s was literally its own decade. Do you know how long a decade is?
@@Not_Always a decade is 10 years which is why I said the "early 90's" was like a "mini" decade. If you could read a bit better it makes more sense

I was in high school 90-94. Best years ever to be a teen, I feel incredibly lucky for the experience! So many great memories. Thanks for posting!
Me too! Class of 94 🎉
I wish I could go back…..
I just went to my 30 year class reunion. I remember when 30 was old. Now I'm 48 lol....
I enjoyed singing along with the Doublemint Gum commercial. Was one of my childhood's favorite commercials!
Yes!!! I finally found one WITH commercials!
I miss the olden day commercials. 😂
Thank you ♡
This feels like a trip back in time
Wow..I had a Cabbage Patch Kid😂...the good ole days!!😅
I am loving seeing all of the old commercials. I watched another special and they had a commercial for an exciting new product called "call waiting".
🤣🤣🤣 Omg GOOD TIMES
😂😂😂
😁
Love seeing the ad for Step by Step. That was a great show. And Betty White always looked the same.
Rip Suzanne Somers. I agree Step by Step is a fun show👍
Omg You left the commercials 😂
They are as good as the movie 🎬 ❤😂
Life Cereal commercials
Nintendo
Playskool
Gotta love Bobby's clothe's. Lol. Who would have thought that the reindeer sweater would be cool 33 year's later.
Hey Mr. kitty kat. You sure are looking cool in those shades. I just saw your comment and I thought it was one I had left previously. 😹😎

Jergens lotion. I remember the fragrance of that stuff! Loved it.

And the way the bottle used to look! My mom used Jergens
My mother used it and I still use it on my hands; the original (which is the cherry almond). It has a great slip. YIKES, I'm almost out! 🤪

1:10-1:32 That was a super cool intro for ABC Afterschool Specials. I don't remember seeing it. Should've kept it.
12/2/1991 my cousin Amanda was born!
TGIF lineup was amazing. Step by Step, Perfect Strangers, Full House, Family Matters. They were all classics😊
@good03boy what's the name of that intro music?

@eddierascalhaskell this after-school special is the first show or movie that ever saw him in .It was really good. The guilt really got to him.

If you think the 90s was great...You should have grown up in the 70s and 80s...
This is why we all have migraines now. 😂😂😂
THAT "BOBBY" GUY RESEMBLES ELVIS.
He played elvis
Wasn't he in the original Hairspray movie?? I think he played Tracy Turnblads boyfriend. I can't remember his name in the movie now.
Check out his package in that speedo 😅
He starred in a miniseries as Elvis. He also played Link in Hairspray (1988)
And Vanilla Ice...
I like aft er school f8lms
Dude looks like a cross between Elvis and Vanilla Ice.
Was that josh peck in the stove top commercial? Lol
Sorry. Shittin' bricks.
