- Traveller weddings are alway colourful, excitable and loud, so see how they got on under Covid-19 restrictions! The bride's father organised everything well, so we even arrived early, but this was never going to be a typical gypsy wedding!
I think this is the first traveller wedding I’ve seen where I’d love to wear the bride’s gown! She looks amazing! 😍😍😍

@@aleksandrah.2207 Yes. Not all travellers go for the way out, massive dresses. It's probably just TV shows that give us the impression that all gypsy wedding dresses are like fairy tale creations.
I love ❤️ traveler's they are the most down to earth people I know, and once you've got their trust, then they will do anything for you and they welcome you in to their family, my romaney family who I've known all my life are lovely people and I'd trust them with my life ❤️ 💜 💙 😊.
I just cannot get over her stunning dress. Never ever have a seen a “gypsy wedding dress” (of course I only have over dramatized television examples) that I’m blown away by. Absolutely breathtaking!

That’s because the people on that tlc show wasnt gypsies. They were actors pretending to be. Actual gypsy weddings look nothing like that tv show.

Thank you for this glimpse in their special day. That poor groom looked so nervous and what a beautiful bride. It's stressful enough under regular circumstances and they did beautifully.
Yes, you are right. The groom is quite shy , and was very nervous, but he relaxed once it was all over. They make a great couple anyway.

Yes, indeed. Its always going to be a bit of a disappointment if weddings can't go ahead as planned, but at least they got married and enjoyed their big day, albeit on a much smaller scale then might otherwise have been. Thanks Monty.

Thanks Shelby. Yes, they were lucky to be allowed to get married at all. Many of our brides had to postpone their weddings, and one is still waiting to set the new date, 3 years on! As far as I know everyone was fine, tbank goodness. xx

That's lovely, Yvonne. They would have had a much bigger wedding though, had they not been limited to a maximum of 30 people, due to strict Covid restrictions at the time. Wedding receptions were also officially banned at the time, so that's why nothing is shown here. Am sure it saved her father a load of money though!

Aw! That's so sweet! Blue is my favourite colour 💙 but, of course, that colour theme was chosen by the bride and her family! It worked really well, didn't it!
That poor groom is so nervous!! He reminds me of my husband on our wedding day.. my father started giving him beer to calm his nerves and we always joke that if we wanted an annulment he would just say my dad coerced him with alcohol 🤣 that was almost 28 years ago and I still love him just as much today as I did on our special day 💜

Aw bless! That's so sweet of you to notice and to tell me your personal story too! Yes people can sometimes forget how this important day in our lives can affect everyone differently and its more often than not the groom, rather than the bride, who is the one feeling most nervous! The bride tends to have lived this day in advance, through all the planning and preparation, but the groom often just goes with the flow, knowing that it is the bride's day. Travellers are also partial to a pre-wedding beer or two!

That's the Best Dress I've even seen for a Gypsy Wedding dress there usually over the top blinged out and all the Bridesmaids looked Beautiful too along with her Family 💜🌈💜 Tastefully Done Wedding day and that's before seeing them getting married

I think maybe the style is changing. I’ve seen a few now where the dresses are so beautiful.
Her dress is lovely and not remotely tacky but my favorite ever dress was Sammy Jo's dress in the Cutting edge my big fat gypsy wedding episode. It was fitted with a three layer 20 foot train, butterflies and crystals. Very classy, unique and elegant.

Well, they are all a close family, so it probably wouldn't affect them the way it would you Autum Leaf! (Love your username!) I had a bride on Saturday who was overwhelmed with everything, so know that some brides do get really stressed.
What a beautiful bride and wedding dress. I love all their hair. I really love that they wear hats. I wish it would come back in fashion over here in America
Well, they're clown hats, so you could make your own, renew the trend toward utter silliness of wearing things that aren't at all necessary and are hard to manage, difficult to keep on one's head, and a general nuisance in every way. I think such things are vainly called "haute couture."

Thanks Sammy. It's great you liked the bride's dress and colour theme. It was a difficult time for brides that year, due to the limitations on guest numbers, the mask wearing and social distancing. They weren't even officially allowed a wedding reception either!

It looks like a wedding dress. In America that wouldn't end well at all. Usually here only the bride wears white.
@@earthwaterfall1498 I agree that in some places, wearing white or ivory or any colors in that category would be considered a big mistake. So I, too, have been a bit surprised to see members of the bride's family, on this and different shows, wearing what over here would be a nice wedding dress. Just goes to show me how wonderful and diverse the world is.

@@ReelLifePhotos I was referring to regular weddings in the United States. Travelers do things us outsiders would never do. In the 1,000s of weddings I've bartened for I've never seen anyone other than the bride wearing white.

We each choose our own partners according to our own personal taste and preferences, so it wouldn't do for us to all be the same anyway! We often imagine what someone looks like based on a name, but its not easy to conjure up a face, based alone on who he is with!

Thanks again @Chris's Cuddles. Traveller wedding clothes are interesting aren't they. They couldn't legally hold a wedding reception though, and as the Covid restrictions at the time limited numbers for the ceremony to 30, the extra people who did turn up had to wait outside!

I don't remember her mother wearing white, Gillian....I understand what you are saying, but in any case traveller weddings have different traditions.
My husband was so nervous on our wedding day he cried a little ... Not sure if it was because he loved me or because he wanted to run lol .. We're still together since 98 so maybe he loved me !!

The first travelers wedding dress that is beautiful & just right. 🌹❤️. They don’t seem to be inlove they don’t even look at each other while says there vows but maybe it just how they do it. I want real true love that u can’t stop looking at each other and don’t let each other hands go.
I think we all want to see that romantic, all encompassing love story don't we. However that love story has continued privately after the wedding day, and they definitely have proved to be a great couple. The groom was simply very nervous, and the strict Covid restrictions did not exactly make for the usual less formal and more relaxed atmosphere did they.
They got real love thir onliy young and the don't do all that stuff it's just our way.. And thirs grandparents thir aswell as parents and our children don't hold hands or kiss in front of thor eldest out of respect
I think the registrar found his moment to shine and made the most of it! Think he grew up wanting to be a minister and missed his chance god love him 😅
Oh that's hilarious! Yes, he was super dry and formal, full of his "power", but at least he held everyone in check, as travellers can be rather exuberant, and certainly don't like to follow all the "rules" of everyday society. He could easily have made everyone laugh.

I admit I was judging the groom because he had his hands in his pockets and chewing gum but then I started reading comments from the person who posted and it educated me. Travelers weddings r different and that's exactly why I'm watching this.

Hi Kristina, Yes I find that bigger men often do buy suits that barely button in the middle, but then who am I to judge men's fashions... I also find most travellers seem to chew gum during the wedding ceremony, but it seems it's just because they are stressed and have a dry mouth. Glad you compliment the bride on her looks though.

I have never seen a groom stand through the service with his hands in his pockets. Says a lot about him.
It's unusual by mainstream standards, of course, but travellers simply haven't been socialised in the same way, so what's sern as accapable behaviour is different, so don't be too hard on him please...

@grace perry Well, I think that I am even older, but am lucky to have covered around 30 weddings in more than 20 different countries over the past 15 years, most of which were in less affluent areas of the world, so am more forgiving of different attitudes, intellectusl levels, body language and expressions, I guess. I also saw the groom after the wedding when he was much more at ease and happy to celebrate, so its possible that this colours my reaction to him as a person.

No that's how they act when there getting married it don't mean there coked off there heads they act like that out of nerves because of everyone looking and in case the bride says no and afterwards there all happy and laughing once it's over I'm a Irish Traveller I've seen it plenty of times before trust me that's just how they are x

@@eileenward Exactly! Unlike mainstream bridesvand grooms, they haven't had much of a chance to be alone together before the wedding, so of course they are nervous during the ceremony.

All the dresses are much more reasonable and tasteful than at other Traveller weddings. On a side note, I am a minister who has officiated many weddings and the part about anyone having an objection is not used anymore. It’s an archaic throwback to when women were property.
Wow that's interesting Leight! "Does anyone know of any lawful reason why xyz may not be joined in matrimony today" etc is still being used in out area by registrars, as I heard it at a wedding I shot, only a week ago, so maybe it depends whether it's in church or a civil wedding? It always gets a fun reaction from the guests anyway , so is good from the videographer or photographer's point of view! I'm glad you approved of their dresses too..xx
@@ReelLifePhotos interesting. I’m a progressive Christian so that may have something to do with it. I’m sure civil ceremony officiants are using a standard script. I craft each marriage ceremony wording to the taste of the couple.

It's just nerves, I guess! At every traveller wedding I see they always seem to be chewing gum throughout their wedding vows, usually the bride too. You get a dry mouth when you are nervous, don't you....

Second- How long have you 2 known each other? It felt like I was watching an arranged marriage.
Third- and I truthfully do not mean this in an offensive manner- but is the guy you married, mentally disabled?
Forth- Yes, of course people are nervous getting married, but picture bride's & groom's holding wayer bottles & sipping on them throughout. Wouldn't it look out of place? The gum chewing looks tacky, crass & gives off a "whatever" appearance.
If millions of American's, Britt's, Aussie's, etc., can do it...... wellllll .... just saying. Lol
Hi@@MJ95630 . I was their wedding photographer, not the bride. I understand what you are saying but be aware that personal comments can be hurtful to the bride in question. She chose to marry the love of her life, and travellers always do behave differently from other people, so learning about our differences might not mean we have to judge their choice by the same measures as in our own social group?
They need learn some manners, so very immature and rude all if them
I understand your reaction, but this is due to social differences in behavioural expectation. Travellers are just different, but they are still interesting people with feelings.

They seem so young and he seems shy, but you can see that when he did look at her he was excited. They are both portraying nervous behavior. Wish them both luck and love. Also doesn’t seem that travelers weddings are taken as seriously like “forgers” weddings, cuz this behavior would never have been tolerated in other weddings, but this is their wedding and their lifestyle , so I think it’s fine

Poor guy. Everyone always thinks it's not stressful for the men. All those girls were laughing a bit at him, even the priest(not sure who is officiating so guessing) told the ladies to stop laughing. Everyone on here commenting about him with his hands in his pockets are like the giggling girls on the sides. When my sis got married she put us in what I thought was dreadful dresses but what everyone forgets is that it's the bride's wedding and she picks dresses that she likes, it's not about anyone but her.

That's so funny, and at the same time, very logical! Yes, rules had to be taken seriously, and the registrar was just the man made to enforce them! I'm sure germs can fly beyond a tape measure! LOL!
