Good morning everyone!!! This is a reupload from the video posted Sunday morning. The original had an issue processing the 4K version. I had to reupload this to fix the issue. Thank you for everyone's support!
59:37 Your cat is obviously very well taken care of. Just look at her eyes - bright and shiny. She's not afraid to be touched and scratched at all. Good work on her too!
I'm so glad to see your Quality Assurance inspector is still working hard. 😆 Those tires!!! What more can I say... just blown away again. Thank you so much for being you!
As I said in the previous video, this truck had so many layers of paint that made the sandblasting specially enjoyable. Congrats for another great restoration!
I did giggle a little hen you persisted trying to get the lever for the rear doors out in just the one direction. 😉 As usual, you knocked this out of the park and it was kinda nice to see that even pros sometimes struggle with silly little things. I did note that you figured out the easier way during reassembly. 😁
What an amazing restoration, it turn out beautiful. Better than when it was first made. Loved all the sandblasting and powder coating you showed. The attention to the fine details make you the best restoration artist on RUclips.
I have grandsons that watch your channel totally fascinated...little hint: lube your hinge pins and clamp in an electric drill...you can spin them in or out...(slightly point the end of the pin...it will self-seek the next hinge joint...)
The dark patches left behind after sand blasting is residual rust that was left behind. My OCD starts freaking out and I have to stop the video when he starts painting over it! 😂😂😂
I'm diggin the JB weld body filler trick. I'm an actual semi truck mechanic and have used it to fix dash boards and panels and such. Would work on old fiberglass fenders with minor rock chips 🤔
The resto looks so amazing Chip it has to be seen in 4k. Totally understand the re-upload is a must. This Tonka turned out Mint buddy, well done! Added this to our favourite restorer video playlist. Thanks for sharing, Lee at Resto Dudes
You are the best in restoring old toys I watch you every day even got wife and friends to subscribe.. David waters from fountain inn s.c. Keep up the good work brother
Amazing as always! I don't know what is cooler, the awesome transformations you do or all of the high tech awesome tools and machines you have! Crappy tires? No problem 👍 just gonna make new ones from scratch! Very cool, Chip!
This has become a magnlficent restoration. The making of missing or worn parts and the attention to detail shows that a skilled craftsman is working heren. I enjoy seeing at work every time!
@@ChipChannelRestorations 58:08 These red trucks are very special, for important occasions. Like Coca-Cola trucks for example. When it comes to Christmas or in the summer, we see Coca-Cola trucks. Because as we all know that Coca-Cola is a Christmas product.
Chip, This is the Very Same TONKA ALLIED VAN LINES TONKA truck I played with at My Late GRANDMOTHERS House between 1967 to 1975 ,Before that it was My Brother which first played with it when he was a growing up !
You blow me away. Amazing the things you do. I can watch you for hours ( I don't just a bit at a time I do have stuff to do lol). There is something extremely satisfying and at the same time relaxing to watch you take a rusty broken item and make it new again. Bravo man you rock!
I'd recommend pressure casting your resin/rtv rubber parts as opposed to vacuum casting as the pressure compresses the air bubbles and makes them mostly invisible. Also, Smooth-On has a rubber that was developed for BF Goodrich for use in creating prototype tires that they would actually put on cars and test. I believe it was called Sooth Cast 12, but I think they changed the I.D. number.
Watching the amount of rusty vehicles at the start of each of your videos it seems unlikely to me your channel will soon run out of new restoration projects.
Love love your restorations. Love your kitty bitty. But I miss the SHEEP! There's this huge trailer that could certain fit about 50 of them. It's your fault for making us love them, and everything else, as much as we do. Baa Baa Baaa!
Far and above any skill I have. That being said, I had a truck like this when I was a kid (several decades ago) and one thing you may have overlooked due to the missing parts are the raised bumps that hold the stand in the up position. A light amount of force upward to click in.
You do exquisite work! Obviously a perfectionist and it really shows. I thought I was a "detail" oriented person but you've certainly got me beat. Love watching you work!!
Good morning everyone!!! This is a reupload from the video posted Sunday morning. The original had an issue processing the 4K version. I had to reupload this to fix the issue. Thank you for everyone's support!
Not a problem. Thank you so much for all the great videos. 💜
Verte trabajar es un lujo a la vista 👍👍

I do without sound... but he also does a grea job
No it keeps me awake to learn and respect!
59:37 Your cat is obviously very well taken care of. Just look at her eyes - bright and shiny. She's not afraid to be touched and scratched at all. Good work on her too!
I didn't know Tonka existed in '48.
...Remarkably involved, laborious, and expert. Magnifico!
The rain made it so much more wonderful to watch and listen!
My regards. Edit a 1 hour video so that the time flies by. It must have talent.
I'm so glad to see your Quality Assurance inspector is still working hard. 😆 Those tires!!! What more can I say... just blown away again. Thank you so much for being you!
Great Job!! It looks like new.

Making the tires was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
I have to say that you put a lot of dedication to the restoration of your toys

The sandblasting looks so relaxing. I could do it all day.
It started out rusty, but ended up looking like it could have been part of an Edward Hopper painting. Wonderful job!! ❤
You are amazing how you bring the past to life again!!!!!! Sandy
Sir, You are a master! When I need to relax, I watch one of your restorations. Thank you!

Beautiful. Extremely relaxing to watch a master at work.
I grew up in Romania in the 1980s with tin toys of a similar design, although not nearly as cool, and I loved them. Great fun watching your videos.
