    This was a fun view. Sometimes it’s just fun to Sew by the Seat Of Our Pants! lol. Pricing? I’m guessing you could easily make a pouch in 15 mins (average), a quarter of your hourly rate is appx $11.25 -12.00, plus a bit for zips, thread, tags. So maybe $15-18 small pouch & $20-22 reddish pouch. Boxy Bag $25-27. I tried to do this in AUS dollars but my math is probably off. I should’ve done it in US$ and converted it. lol. Personally I would easily pay $25 US for any of these and feel very good about it! But now, when I do the conversion, and turn 25 US into Australian dollars, I get 38.50! I’m sure glad I’m not the one who has to figure this out. They all look great Christine. ❤

      haha, you did really well Cyn. I love that you worked out my hourly rate and production ratio, as well as all the other bits. The pricing was pretty spot on too. I think I priced the smaller ones at $20 each, and the larger at $25😀

    Christine, you might consider putting the solid color pieces together in a patchwork pattern for the front of a bag with the solid color on the back. I had a purse made like that and I always got compliments when I carried it. The back of my bag was black.

    I sometimes receive yardage of furnishing tapestry fabric. It’s rather bulky to sew with. If you could come up with some ideas for quick sew tote bags using this fabric I would like to see that. I mostly donate bags to a womens refuge but sometimes sell them cheaply as well. I’m thinking some type of market bags made from this fabric might sell ok.

    You must have humidity where you are that helps with removing the paper labels and edging from fabric samples. Where I am in N. California, I have to mist the fabric and scrape off the paper backing since whenever I get the samples, they are very dry. Nice to see your process! What size zips are you working with for this project? I guess #5YYK. If the flocking is that delicate, I would price them lower to reflect that. Maybe $15 or even $12

    • @ChristinesHomeAffairs
      @ChristinesHomeAffairs  5 месяцев назад

      It's usually quite dry here Amrita. These were old, so I think the glue wasn't as adhesive. I'd have had better success using the heat press though😁
