It would be very helpful if you put in the title, the thumbnail, and right at the beginning of the video that you’re making a quilted placemat so viewers can decide if they want to invest the time or not.
They do it on purpose because they're farming views. You can tell by the noncommittal titles. The same, as noted, with crochet stitches and recipes: I avoid any video with a ball of yarn thumbnail or a title that says something like "my sister in law says it tastes better than meat!"

Your item was lovely and well done. However, you do not do enough close ups. You did not show how you did your binding. eg corners, joining and folding. The way you have done it is no use to beginners. Maybe you can do this in future tutorials.

It was probably intentional to leave the type of project off the title. Clickbait. Just like food videos, "why didnt I know this trick before now?" Etc. On craft videos I immediately skip to yhe end now days to see if it is something I'd actually be interested in. 9 times out of 10, it isnt.
I must admir that this video was not interesting and if I had seen the final picture i could switch imnediately off. The use in the fridge Is a nonsense for such AN accurate work, Just to save dampness of food???
