It's my first time ever seeing something like clay ball, but loved it.
Something cool I just learned is that most tree forms of _Dracaena_ (like 'Janet Craig', 'Compacta', 'Corn Plant', etc.) will all root from their leaves in water! Apparently it may take a while, but is easier than rooting a ficus leaf. Even though their leaves are tender and not really succulent, it does make sense, especially since _Sansevieria_ was recently grouped into _Dracaena_ -and we know snake plants can be rooted from any section of a leaf…
Your plants are beautiful and healthy...
Very interesting. Thank you
Awesome Video 😊👍!!!!

Hi . it looks to me that the pothos remain single leafed for a very long time. I put some cuttings in soil 3 months ago. They just keep alive without growing new leaves.
your pothos will grow faster if they are receiving enough light and water. In my case it will grow more faster in leca balls than soil.
At 05:18, where you get the vase and the clear plastic cup? I really like your set up. Can you share the links for the vase and the plastic cup? Thank you.
Plastic cup is just the disposable one and the glass vase is from ikea. www.ikea.com/us/en/p/karaff-carafe-clear-glass-00342975/
Wao
Hi,in using clay balls do we have to water it everyday, hope you can give me an answer,,keep safe and god bless
Just maintain the water level of your pot. Once it is about to dry or empty just refill
🥰🥰🥰
السلام عليكم اشلونك حبيبي الغالي شخبارك ماهو نوع التربه
I have had a heck of a time to get my Scindapsus Pictus to root. I have tried water, Perlite, and now I am trying Sphagnum Moss, but they don't root. It is winter here now, but I tried water and Perlite props during the much warmer summer months with poor results. I am amazed that your Scindapsus rooted in just 40 days!
Also, can this work just as well in soil? I have never used Leca Balls and I have read that it can be quite expensive if you have several plants. I think I would feel like a true plant parent if I can grow things well in soil:-). Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your reply! Best wishes in the New Year! 🌴🧡
Yes you can use soil, I just want to use Leca balls because I want to prevent having any flying insects in our apartment. And in the long run leca balls is economical to use because it is reusable unlike soil. Rooting your plants will best in warm environment. I normally keep them under grow light also which gave me a good results.
@@thegreenearth Okay. Thank you! You have given me some things to consider! Best to you!🌴🧡
Try rooting them in water with pothos cuttings. I also noticed that scindapsus roots faster with rain water ..in my experience

@@tripleJs2009 Thank you so much!!🌹🪴
How to prevent mosquitoes to plant using wet clay balls?
Thanks.
I actually don’t have any problem with any insects when using clay balls.
I have a question ✋
If we use clay balls to cover almost 3-4 inch of upper layer of water, then we will not required water change for a long time?
No need to change the water because it will soak up and evaporate eventually.
@@thegreenearth that's great 🤩👍, and Are clay pebbles an economical option? I m using CoCopeat for my Room plants like Syngoniam n pothos, but i want to try this if it is an economical option too. Specially for my transparent bottles 🥰.
@@enjoyhappymoments616 it is expensive initially, but economical in the long run because you can use it again and again just wash thoroughly.
@@thegreenearth here in india we are getting around 5kgs in $10 is that economical or expensive?
@@enjoyhappymoments616 😁i am an Indian too
how long before you out water again
what is the name of your plant that look like the leafy pine apple 😅 pls share ❤️
Que lindo. Tambem tenho um canal aqui no yotube.
Can I propigate money tree in water bcoz my plant dropping all leaves and leave only stem in the soil
you can grow money tree using leca or clay pebbles. but I did not tried yet propagating money tree.
In which season we can apply this method
The best time is during summer. But in my case I am not particular with the season because I can control my environment indoor.
How do you fertilize them,I mean which fertilizer u use ?
I’m using Flora Series General Hydroponic Solution
@@thegreenearth ok thank u
The balls you put inside the pot of plant and where will we get that balls
Hi, please watch this video - ruclips.net/video/sBU60teY_vM/видео.html that will answer all of your questions about clay pebbles.
Where do we get clay pebbles
amazon or search in any garden shop
Прекрасные результаты,но как без земли на голом дренаже?
Удо в воду и всё, многие так живут
Seems (to me) that winter it's not the best time to do that 😪
yeah unless you can provide the right temperature humidity and lights for your cuttings
what is that brown small balls.?
it is called clay pebbles or hydroton amzn.to/3GVEky2
¿Que son esas bolitas que les pones?
se llaman leca o guijarros de arcilla o hidroton
@@thegreenearth muchas gracias
How often do you change the water?

@@thegreenearth thanks

yes, use hydroponic nutrients
What is that ball name plz
it is called hydroton or clay pebbles
Your video is nice but you should mention names of plant
hi thank you, I put the names of each plant if you watch it from the beginning.
Hello sir. Can you please suggest the best time to take cuttings of Rubber plant?
By the way I too have a gardening channel 😄Please checkout and share some experience ❤️
The best time would be on summer time as warm temperature promote rooting.
@@thegreenearth thanks alot sir
My rubber plant has grew huge it has started shooting out aerial roots but I'm nervous of cutting from the mother plant as its quite a sentimental plant will repotting be enough or do I need to cut where its aerial roots are and re plant
Water change every day or weekly?
weekly
@@thegreenearth are you saying complete water change each week? How often for fertiliser?
@@robynfisher4455 once a week during propagation only. But when you repotted to LECA, just keep on refilling when the water is about to dry.
Good guidence and nice sharing. Wellcome to my channel.
