- This update focuses on the Southwest German state of Baden-Württemberg, the nation’s third largest state in both population and area. The Microsoft Flight Simulator team and its partners selected seven cities that best represent this diverse and vibrant region of Europe: Mannheim, Heidelberg, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Esslingen, and Kehl in Germany, and the French city of Strasbourg, which lies just across the border from Kehl. The update also features Friedrichshafen Airport, Baden-Württemberg’s third largest airport.
City Update 06: Southwest Germany is available FREE to all Microsoft Flight Simulator simmers. Ensure that your simulator is running version 1.36.2.0 (or a more recent version), download City Update 06, and explore the incredible sights of Baden-Württemberg’s cities!
Microsoft Flight Simulator is available for Xbox Series X|S and PC with Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, Windows, and Steam, and on Xbox One and supported mobile phones, tablets, and lower-spec PCs via Xbox Cloud Gaming. It’s awesome, and I think where they manufactured the zeppelins. I see some giant hangers in the background. There will be many Hindenburg multiplayer flights in this area!
@@701Builderyep, u are right. There are still Zeppelins there. They do tour flights from Friedrichshafen around the lake constance area.
@@701BuilderEDNY is also the Home of the „Aero exhibition“ Europes biggest general aviation meeting/exhibition. Hundrets of GA flights to there 17-20th of April. What coincidence they release it today ;)

Free updates and people are still complaining. Please know one thing if you want that they update your part of the world, arrange first that the government allow them to fly and collect data to create stuff for that region you so desire. I also want to see other parts of the world but currently it’s impossible, for example by government restrictions. In which simulator do you get that much free updates? No sim nor game exist which is not based on free updates only in combo of micro transactions. Never had that much free content, aircraft or other cool stuff in any game/ simulator.

I can't speak for others, but I think a lot of the criticism comes from Ms/Asobo not focusing on the aspects that are really important. So what if we get free updates containing detailed scenery if there is no weather radar? The question is whether Msfs 2020 is a flying simulator or a scenery simulator? Not to mention developing scenery for places that have already been developed, in a situation where there are many countries that have not received a single update, e.g. Poland. I personally bought the deluxe pack of the simulator, I bought a lot of add-ons (including some from Ms/Asobo and Reno Racing), so I spent a lot of money and I don't feel like these DLCs are free. MS simply has a different business model.
Please explain it to me, why the sim is looking so good in this trailer. The colors, the clouds and the lightning is just perfect. I run the sim almost conpletely in ultra settings, and it does look sooo washed out compared to this. The clouds are just not looking as good as shown here, and also the game is full with that yellowish tint, which i cant really see here.
Maybe something is wrong in your PC or the game configs. Mine looks fairly similar tho not as good but still close enough

Amazing as it always is :) Hope northern Germany gets some love such as the extensive harbour area in Hamburg or other north German cities! MSFS really is a work of art at this point.

They need to fix London but my guess is with the available data they cant. it was broken when it was released and has not been touched since. The UK in general seems to be an avoid area when it comes to Asobo fixing things, instead they try to divert arttention by adding another couple of handcrafted buildings and not fixing the houses all around the South coast etc where everyone lives apparantly on a beach with no road access or they live underwater.
I praise Microsoft for that great work, we are so blessed that you are back in the sim world. I had all of them . This one is showing human greatness to all levels. You got my money anytime. Continuous the great work 💯.we will be here to support this platform and wait for update to reach unlimited progress. Let's do it.

Still aching for London to be fixed considering it still looks like the apocalypse has wiped it out.
The UK & Ireland in general could really do with a going over or two. A very long list of major cities without TIN & half of the current one's are pretty half baked in quality or coverage. I know there's other countries yet to receive attention but i really expected the UK to get more attention then it has over the years.

The vegetation on my computer looks different. A good example is the Rothenberg Chapel near Stuttgart seen in the video 0:31, it is in plain sight, whereas on my PC it is almost totally covered by trees and bushes.

Incredible. I have used FS X extensively, which with add-ons got pretty good already, but I was very disappointed of course when MS stopped development.
Cool that they took it back - I haven't tested FS yet ever since though. I could much prefer to have it on Bluray or something, is it at all available on this? I think it's only available through downloading these days. I don't use Windows anymore either, I know Steam runs on Linux, but does FS run properly on Linux via Steam? Thanks for any pointers!
ASOBO, Blackshark can you update atleast satellite imagery of Philippines? lot's of mountains here, sand bars, breaches, they still look dull low res.

Please improve the City update 01, as it still feels like an experiment beneath all later released CityUpdates. Maybe the mesh resolution for the photogrammetry is too high or anything else... Unflyable in VR because of to much performance impact. All other CU are ok...

Could You please update capital city of Slovakia - Bratislava? There is a block of flats instead of SNP uffo-shaped bridge 🤗
I visited Bratislava in 2016 and really enjoyed it, I recall that bridge and the all blue church that is outside the old city area. I believe that is also where we went to Devin Casle, which I think was up the road from there? Good times.
That is very nice, but how is that possible that RKSI Incheon Intl airport is missing runways, taxiways, gates, terminal etc. It is not new airport as for example the one near Istanbul. It was reported back in 2020 and in 2024 still no fix. So what exactly is preventing you from fixing it?

As long as you are not in VR it is not that demanding. Even at lower level of details it still looks very good.

My mfs2020 keeps crashing on the loading screen. I don't understand why. I have reinstalled drivers tried this, and that to no improvement. What should I do.

Find out about the Europa Bridge and the shared history of the two cities, which have belonged to each other several times and between which the Rhine flows. And now please name me a US city that has grown together with Toronto. Jörg said it very well in the livestream that if you update Kehl, then the city of Strasbourg on the other bank of the Rhine, which is so important for Europe, is simply part of it.

Another update that does not fix anything what is really critical. Since several months if not already two years, the textures look absolutely horrible and like 20 years ago! If no optional updates (like world updates) are installed, the game look similar to how it was at the beginning. But even the installation of the world and city updates related to Germany and maybe one or two world updates about the surrounding countries decreases the optical quality of the game already dramatically. The internet connection is super fast, so this is not a problem. I have also already played with this cache and nothing helped really.
I really like the game/simulation but it is not playable if this will not be fixed. I can understand that it will create problems if all world updates, including city updates plus several airplanes are installed, but this is not my case. It should be possible that the game, also on XBOX Series S/X, does not look like 20 years ago when only a small number of optional content is installed, especially if it comes from the developer!
Why do the clouds still look so terrible? They were perfect when the sim first released and now they look awful. I guess this will never be fixed

Because these are purchased clouds, I have two paid sets of clouds myself and they are beautiful. The paid set includes many types of cloud cover and weather conditions.

Besides, what's the point of complaining under a video here on RUclips. Nobody will see that. That's what the forums are for and you can learn a lot there, because your knowledge about it is very limited if you blame Bing for everything.
