Boat Seat Installation

On this video, Boat Seat Installation, I mount my Seat to my Gheenoe bunk using aluminum. Thick grade aluminum sheet is mounted with locktite marine. Check out this video along with other Gheenoe modifications.

Great effort. IMO only way to do it right is to cut a round access hole (install access cover) and thru bolt using starboard on inside.

lol... 2 hours later was funny but the funniest part was when you said if it breaks again you may just cry... lol Looks like you fixed it up pretty good though so you probably won't have to cry, man... How many fingers did you get caulking on? hahahaha

Looks good great solution and should be much stronger! Love those Gheenoe skiffs. I’m restoring a 17 whaler for doing similar stuff you do in your boat. Great videos. I subscribed. I’ll be checking out some others on your channel. 👍

I have a 15/4. You mention toggle bolts at the end & I didn't see anything else used so, did you just screw into the fiberglass to hold the plate down?

Yes screws with Loctite on the aluminum. I has screws without the aluminum and they eventually pulled out with the flex of leaning back in the seat.

How much was the aluminum?
