Using the ratchet straps to flip it was genius at 4:40 I just had to do some repairs and repaint the bottom of my Classic and used the same trick to flip mine haha
Love this build. Couple of questions: What kind of lid is that on your center seat? Also, how did you attach the kayak racks? Last, do you have a build blog with more details? This is exactly what I'm looking for. Fabulous job!
sorry, no more details or blog posts other than this. The kayak racks are just bolted on. Seadek on the seat hatch which is a fiberglass covered piece of wood. keep it simple!
nothing really special in materials since it is a small diy project boat. Bondo fiberglass resin, the cloth was from back when we originally built it so I am not sure of the specifics, other than a medium weight biaxial and reustoleum marine coating paint.

Awesome! Glad the video helped someone out. I hope your repairs went well and it is better then ever.
What grinding disk did you use on your angle grinder to strip the old paint and resin off? Need to do my gheenoe.
Nice, wondering what the oar outriggers are, thank you.
They are actually kayak roof racks. Check out our other video for details. ruclips.net/video/6cTCoh6-nwM/видео.htmlsi=QZIlbD9aJ_Mkm4Mp
