88ROTORS what is the tint on those taillights
More Colorado please.
Link to the coilovers?
The ZR2 is levels ahead of the TRD Taco in my opinion. If they updated the Taco, then it would compete very well. On a side note, the side exhaust is an amazing touch on this Colorado.
Yes it
I got a Z71 because I would have had to buy a TRDPro to get the same upgrades. Toyota said they don’t drop the price on tacos since they sell so well.
Happy with the Z71.
Great video! Recently purchased a Colorado, and I love the truck. It was a hard choice between the taco and the Colorado, but the bigger backseat of the Colorado sealed the deal for me, because I have three small kids to tote around.
Definitely looking forward to more Colorado content though!
Hi I have a 2019 Colorado can you tell me what set up was installed on the Colorado would love to have it installed on mines.
Just purchased a 2017 Colorado Z71 4x4 and man does it not feel like a mid size truck. Can’t wait to do my lift and get bigger rims and tires 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Love what you did to the Z71 Colorado. I have a 2018 Z71 and I love it. Would love to do all the mods that you did to mine! I am a retired veteran and it's just not in my budget Unfortunately. 😪
2019 Colorado 4X4 owner here. Awesome truck.
Thanks John!
Hey what size and did they have to trim for rubbing?
Love my Colorado. Recently purchased my 3rd Z71. Upgraded to 4WD Duramax.
I researched the taco and Colorado for a year and test drove both several different times. I ended up with a 2020 COLORADO ZR2 and couldn’t be happier. The bigger interior and better suspension and stock 2.5 inch lift had me sold. Tons of fun.
Recently bought a 2022 Colorado Z71 over a Tacoma. Mainly due to the comfort. I have been very happy with the truck itself. What I am finding is a lack of aftermarket options for the Z71 Colorado. They are out there, but not much in the way of videos, or reviews for them.
ZR2 all day.
Id pick a Colorado diesel over a taco any day
I love Toyota pickups but when the Colorado diesel came out my heart was won. Always have like Chevy full-size used to own an obs 6.5 diesel
I drive a 2" leveled, 1.5" rear blocks Colorado 2015 bought it new. I travel a lot for work and tend to rent trucks so I get to drive a lot of Tacomas. Both are great trucks. Toyota has better ground clearance, but you are basically sitting on the floor of the truck, and the box isn't as deep. Chevy is a little more comfortable because the chair sits higher, and the box is deeper. Both have about the same engine response. So my pick, is for off roading Tacoma, for long drives and comfort Colorado.
Ive drove both the TRD Pro and ZR2 but own the Z71. The TRD Pro is handsome and durable, but the interior room and design alone wasnt worth $45K, likewise with the ZR2 its midsize build wasnt worth $43-45K. I purchased the Z71 (yes out of budget), and to those that own the Z71 and want the ZR2, side by side, they are the same truck. This lifted Z71 dwarfs the ZR2 and with the cash you save, upgrade it. The ZR2 is 'unique' but the Z71 is just as great. Over the TRD Pro, the Colorado is a truck you can impress your friends with and the truck you want to pull up on date night. Simply put, its just as handsome as the the Tacoma Inside, especially, and out! You and your passengers will appreciate the Chevys interior class and room as well as road manners, and dont even get me started with the Rear locker, and 30+HP. This truck took the win for me. The perfect off-roader and daily drive.
Mark Quijada Jr Well Said. I have a Z71 I’ve put a lot of money into and I think the same way as you lol
Thanks for input of Z71 over ZR2 Mark and Tony. Am looking to get a Duramax Colorado and on a budget too so a Z71 over a ZR2 is about a $10K saving (based on year). I'd then put that into upgrades as needed. Issue I am having is I don't want a black truck and everything seems to be black. What do you think about idea of getting a white one (more of them around) and then getting a wrap for colour and design I want?
@@colinmccarthy2698 My Z71 is a dark grey and personally I wanted the bright red one, but after seeing it in person my opinion changed. The stock colors just looked great. Maybe try looking at some of their grey trucks. Their not too dark or too bright. I would say refer to the configuration of your Chevy, if its a single cab, long bed work truck, sure maybe white (only because most work trucks are white). If its a crew cab short box, which I find to the the best porportioned then go with a color that will emphasize it. A trucks color can determine its drivers character a lot of times, but hey if you like white go for it! any Chevy fan will be exited to see what you got.
Mark Quijada Jr I had a silver 2016 and upgraded to the 2019 in red hot in September! The color completely gives the truck a whole new vibe lol. The red hot is beautiful to me. It’s bright, makes all of my black accents stand out, helps me find my truck in parking lots way easier, and makes the truck look more impressive to random people who don’t know much about them lol. But the truck honestly looks really good to me in the white and the grey colors as well. Those were my next choices.
@@tony_bauer You have my next dream truck exactly🤣🤣 i want one with a decent offroad lift, black sportbars with lights and a spray in bedliner. Something that will make my dirtbikes sit nice and cozy to track🇺🇸🇺🇸💯💯
2020 Colorado Redline Edition. I drove every midsize truck on the market before I bought my Chevy. The Colorado is the most comfortable to sit and ride in.Chevy needs to keep up with the off-road abilities of its competitors though. Still my favorite midsize truck tho.
Never drove the Colorado.
But I love my '18 Taco OR 4X4.
Based solely on the looks... Tacos every day and twice on Tuesday.
Twice on Tuesday🤣
I have 2017 Colorado LT crew cab Redline edition Duramax 2.8 and I love it..planning on to get them K02 once the stock wears out. it's off-road worthy as it is but with them K02..limitless!
I own my 3rd Colorado crew cab long bed Z71 with 4WD and the Duramax. It's a great vehicle.
Bought my Colorado after test driving both (taco pro). Haven’t regretted my decision yet. Truck in vid is very similar to mine.
Love my 2018 Chevy Colorado Z71 midnight edition. Please do more Colorado shows.
Colorado is the goat
I have a 2016 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss that I love but the biggest draw back is the current suspension cant wait to get a similar set up as the one in this video!
I just called in and you guys are out of stock on suspension for the Colorado. I will wait so I can have my Colorado done with the FOX coilovers and the 2” block in the back. I will be driving from Arizona
My son has a Colorado, very nice trucks, but I love the quality feel of my 3rd gen. Tacoma.
Any cutting needed? I got a colorado myself. Looked into the Tacoma’s which are nice trucks but I just think they are cookie cutter trucks. Everyone and there mom has one. Great video!
nico hernandez I have a white TRD pro now. I know I don’t have to buy another truck after 5 years, when my payment is done. I love fox shock! & the look on other Tacoma owners when they see my PRO😱
Their
Same reason I went with the Colorado myself. Plus, I'm 6 feet tall. After adjusting the driver seat, I sat in the seat directly behind and still had leg and head room! Can't say the same for the Tacoma!
Yes, if you would want to install bigger tires some cutting is needed but its not hard. You have the option to remove or cut the front air dam.
Gas miles suck on Tacoma compared to Duramax.
I love the Colorado truck lol
That looks great I need that my Colorado is still stock but researching on what I want to do next and I think this is it thanks guys
Love everything about my Colorado... hate that it’s still stock! 2020 might be the time to hook it up!!!
Looking at a build very similar to this colorado to replace my TJ as my daily (I'll still keep it for fun), I'm a huge fan of that build!
That truck is sick. I just bought a 2019 Colorado in shadow gray. What size of tired and rima's are those. And is that the stock lift of is the truck lifted. Sickkkkkkk
I'm waiting for install of a readylift 3.5/1 sst lift and am going with 285/70r17s in general grabber x3. Hoping everything fits ok.
I have the 3.5 sst and was wondering how the 285/70/17 fit for You
That Colorado setup is 🔥🔥
I follow you guys on Instagram... just bought a Chevy Colorado Z71 myself... didn't know you guys did other trucks since all I see is Tacomas! Good to know... may have to hit you guys up for some work!
Have a Colorado Z71 4x2 and love it. Really want to start modding it and making it mine. 👍
Chevy all the way
This Colorado looks clean with this setup and content it got away from that ugly factory forward rake. I'd definitely get one as the Tacoma is just too common of a truck and underpowered compared to the ZR2. Did this truck require a cab mount chop?
Those Fox 2.5 Remote Reservoir Front Coilovers are 2g damnnnnnn!
Clean as hell guys
This Color is awesome
i ahd a 2018 Colorado that i like it too much and he is great in Canada winter weather
Did you have to trim the fenders to get those tires to fit on the Colorado without rubbing??
Thanks for that video,
I like those fender flares but i have gmc canyon 2016,any suggestions where i can find those fender flares ebay and amazon cant shipp here fender flares like that
Colorado is cool. I was looking at one... almost bought one, but then Tundra.
What trimming had to be done to fit that size tire on a 0 offset wheel?
I got into a taco and i felt snug im a big guy i just got a Colorado and it felt comfortable for me
Me too
@@stylin60es I just got my got the Colorado
I own a Colorado and I just want to level it for look purpose. I never tow or haul anything but I dont want the squat when I do. What will I need besides a 2 inch leveling spacer? I dont want premature wear and tear on ball joints and etc. What do you suggest I buy for the set up I want?
I didnt make the video but I lifted my front end with a leveling kit also, just be sure to alight the tow afterwards and you'll be okay.
Is that an after market paint on the truck because iv'e never seen the color before i love IT!
Looks to me like Cyber Gray metallic. Mine's that color and it is a sick color
So sick!!! Need to do this to my Rado!!!
Would like to know more info on this set up for this Colorado I’m looking to get a lift on my 2017 Colorado z71
Where is your shop at im tryna do the same on my Colorado
Z71 here
I just bought a 2016 Chevy z71 4x4 2.8L Diesel how much lift would i get if i put in the Fox 2.0 Coil over and rear shocks? What size tire can i go up too?
Just purchased a 2019 Colorado. How much would it that exact same set up cost me? Same tires wheels etc...
I have a Colorado crewcab wt with the v6. I love my truck. Honestly I think it's a pretty even playing field between the two at the moment with the edge going to chevy for offering a baby duramax. My only gripe is the spare tire location. It rides way to low.
I just bought a 2015 Colorado cc lb z71 and i really like it.. I totally agree that the spare tire rides really low. I guess that give us more reason to lift it huh!?? lol
@@thenickster7575 definitely been looking for a bed mounted option. Ive scraped it a few times offroading. I have the eibach lift level kit on it at max height for stock upper control arms.
Went with the Colorado. Tacoma was just not doing well with me, looks & price wise
How much do you guys charge to do that? Estimate?
Nicest looking truck on the block... Tacoma’s come hooked up... but do a little work to a Chevy and see what a real truck looks like!!!
What do I need to get to do the exact set up as the Colorado?
Was there trimming done to this Colorado?
what size were the first tires on the colorado?
What is the size of those rims and the offset? And any spacers?
Why would the Tacoma swap Falcons for Fox?
Falcon shocks....it’s a Jeep thing
Chevy ZR2 here
Just bout a 2021 Colorado, i might have missed on the video but anyone know what size tires and lift on this? I want the exact setup.
how much rubbing with those tires?
What light bar and mount does that Colorado have?
What size rim and offset are you running...
I love Toyota’s but not gonna lie I want the Duramax diesel Colorado
What was the price of that for the Colorado
How much do these fox shocks run?
Fox 2.0 and 2.5 run you up to about $1500- $2200 depending on where you get them. And thats per set of 2, front or rear, both your looking at about $4k. It depends again on where you get them and what type you buy.
What lift kit did u use
Nice truck. Camera work is making me dizzy though.
Tacoma’s all the way! They look so much better and meaner.
I have the Duramax.........so yeah, Colorado over Toy any day.
How big of a lift is this?
I think I'm too much of a Toyota loyalist
How much does that suspension set up run for with install?
About $6k
Colorado far superior
Colorado over tacoma simply for price. A WT base model colorado with a v6 and 4x4 with a crew cab can be had for 24k-25k. An SR base model tacoma with a v6 and 4x4 and double cab runs 32 - 33k before a toyota stealership tries marking up the price a couple grand. 7 - 8k in mods can get you front and rear lockers, regear, lift, rims, tires, armor, bumper,/winch, lights, etc. Especially if you do all of it yourself. With the money you save you could throw in an aftermarket head unit and run some high quality comms if you overland with friends. You can basically build out a colorado how you want for the price of a base model tacoma with no mods. And the reliability of chevy's v6 gas engines are impeccable. You won't be running into any issues with those engines. I like the look of both trucks but I couldn't get gouged to get my hands on a new tacoma. I could get a full sized 4x4 that gets better gas mileage with 2x the power for the same price as a tacoma.
Got Colorado with 2.8 diesel. I occasionally two enclosed trailer with car. Taco won't do that
What kind of wheels are those
Bf Goodrich KO2s
Wow. What a get. You got one of the 7 Chevy Colorado’s in Southern California.
How big was the oil stain it left?
better then tacoma and faster
Does anyone know where I can get the black fender flare things?
Amazon has them
@@chrisbernal1347 thanks
that colorado is too sexy
Gas mileage sucks on all Toyota trucks.
Music is rough. Please and
No.
Not at all Tacoma is way better just saying
I don’t like your voice. Lol sorry dude but I own and love my colorado!
GM garbage enough said.
What brand steps are on it?
What size of tires on the Colorado ?
Looks like 31s on 16s. I run those, they work great.
