When I saw the title of the skit, I thought it would have to do with 3+1 being 4 and 7x4 is 28 (though of course presented in an elaborate and comical way) but that seemed to be the only mathematical mishandling they DIDN'T do 😂

Abbott and Costello Meet The Monsters movie is hilarious! Love their movies!
They have a line in one of their movies where Abbott is wanting Costello to go on a double date with him and he’s providing the date for Costello and Costello (I’m paraphrasing) says “oh no, you remember the last girl you set me up with? Did you see that tooth? Did you see it? She had so much bridge work, I had to pay a toll every time I tried to kiss her!” Oh my gosh I roll on the floor with laughter every time they do that little skit and Costello is so funny and animated when he says it, he makes it all the more funny!😂❤

This the first time ever caught that I Costello made a script mistake 5:58. Costello says “7” weeks times $13 a week (which would’ve been probably more believable, even back in the 1930s anyway.)
    But the initial premises is:
    it’s “13” weeks times only $7 a weeks rent. 1:38

Sorry I don't know your names yet but the gentleman in the white shirt came VERY close to making my point when he said it's amazing to come up with 3 ways "at the time".... I'd take it a step further and say that it's amazing they could make the math "Work" in 3 different ways WITHOUT a computer!? I mean you can't just randomly grab a couple of numbers and make it work 3 different ways... I can't wrap my mind around how someone could do this with paper and pencil? Where do you even START?

This one tickled me because I'm pants at maths. Yes, I work with money and banking and whatnot, but anything above basic level, and I'm lost. I took 9 GCSE's back in the day, and didn't revise for any of them apart from maths. Guess which one I failed? Yep. Good old sucky maths. (Though I will add that I sat the higher papers and got a 'D'. I had a panic attack on paper 4 and left it completely blank, so that 'D' was from half the exam. If I had sat paper 2, I would have got my pass. Still irritated about that. Ah well.)
This was amusing, but I as I said on the poll, I don't think anything will top 'Who's on first?' But keep 'em coming! Old school comedy is gold!

Technically, he actually proved it the same way all three times, just from a different perspective. The trick he's pulling in each case is ignoring that the 1 in 13 is actually a ten, so each time he's multiplying (or dividing or adding) 1+3 by 7, which is obviously 4x7 = 28.

this and "who's on first" are old vaudville routines. they've been around for decades even before abbott and costello. what this comedy team did was take these old routines and make them their own by reviving them for a new generation of audiences.
abbott and costello were more like martin and lewis, who came after abbott and costello, than laurel and hardy. martin and abbott played the straight man to lewis' and costello's frustrated and mischevious man/child. thanks for the video.

Slapstick humor was one of those things that came out during the right time.Younger generations may not be as entertained by it. You have to see the humor for what it is and how it works and why. You mentioned Mr. Bean. Roland Atkinson, as Mr. Bean, is one of the three greatest silent comedians. The other two being other British actors, Charlie Chaplin and Benny Hill. Benny Hill came out during the right time. He would be canceled today. Even if you're offended by his comedy, you should still be able to see his talent.

There are a lot more great Abbott and Costello videos on RUclips, and many are equally as good as the two you've done, but rarely reacted to (since everyone just copies each other). You'd really do well to forget the polls. Most of your viewers aren't old enough to remember their material and only vote for what they've seen on RUclips, which is a tiny fraction of their best stuff. Try "Loafing," or "Handcuffs," or "3 Bananas," or "Alexander 4444."
