Still trying to pick my jaw up from the floor. was today years old when I was taught of this "3 strands" twist. This is truly a game changer for me. And the perfect example of why I subscribe to this channel. You are the G.O.A.T.! THANKS LOVE!!!
I do two strand twists but will have to give the three strand twists a try. You make it look so easy. Hopefully I can get it right when I attempt this style. 😢😆
I usually braid at the root and then do a 3 strand twist to keep my hair stretched but put away fot the week. Volume at root for me is quick because of my speedy hair growth rate.
Linwood, I like how those braids are done. I like the foaming lotion product on the hair. I’m gonna try it, I thank you for showing how to braid. You’re the best!!!
I have naturally long hair that I used to wear flat-ironed and hanging down my back. Started wearing 2-strand twists a few years ago but without untwisting them. After seeing your 3-strand twist demo, going to try it and untwist my hair to see how it looks.
Thank you so much. My three strand twisting was trash😂🤣😂🤣. I was making it more difficult than necessary. THANK YOU for such a great and yet simplistic way of teaching❤
I’m probably going to focus more on tutorials moving forward, to me if I’m going to do longer vids, that’s more of the preference. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the tutorial! I prefer two strand only because it is easier. Your video has renewed my confidence and I will definitely be trying three strand twists
Hello. I was searching for how to do the two-strand twists and your video was at the top. I tried your method. Some of the smaller sections of hair were tighter at the root. However, larger sections were not. Lesson learned. Thanks for the tutorial. Enjoy your day.
I first must say that I have never heard of a three strand twist, until I became a subscriber a channel, earlier this year. And I must say, I like free strand twist much better. I am a newly natural, just did the big chop on Friday. So I definitely be practicing this so that I will be ready to do it on my own hair when I get some length 😁 its is so good to have you back, be blessed my friend 🙏🏼 ❤
I love the comparison, thank you! I prefer a three strand twist for my twistouts. I don't have to separate as much, which leaves me with more length and definition in the finished style.
2 strand-Crimper style vs 3-Strand is corkscrew or perm like. I braid the base of 2 strand on my own head or ends loose hair. I've never thought of 3 strand Looks plaited almost. Love the video!
Thanks for sharing i love twist!! Im going to try the 3 strand twist , wish me luck 😂. Definitely love the 3 strand twist! God bless snd enjoy your upcoming week! 🙏🏾🥰
Linwood....you look fabulous my brother! I got a two for one today...you and @MakeupMenaree dropped videos on the same day❤. Thanks so much for the tutorial on 3 strand twists. I'm going to try this on my microlocs😉!
Great idea, My goal was to start on my micro locs within the next week or so. Lawd please help me figure out this technique. Blessings on your loc journey Sis.
@106BARKINGDOG Getting microlocs was the best hair decision I ever made. I have zero regrets! I will celebrate my 1st year loc-versary in a couple of weeks. I'm sure you will do a great job on your microlocs. Good luck on your loc journey Sis - you will love it!
Thank you sooo much ❤ My understanding has enhanced bc of this vid. For me it’s my roots that are puffy and tend to be one of the areas of my concern. Plus I have several texture types so they behave differently. Still feel blessed as I have strong, healthy long hair.
Loving this mannequin, and thanks so much for the tutorial as many have said I’ve never tried three strand twist make it better try. I enjoyed listening!
Hi Linwood. Can you give a tutorial on headbands? How to wear them? Which brand seems the best? And how to keep the front part of your hair moisturized while utilizing them. Trying to stay glam😊
For my low density hair I actually realize from this informative video, I need to do a 3 strand twist to ensure better definition. I find I’m dizzy w/a 2 strand once I separate each of the strands. TY❤❤❤❤
Could you a video on how to refresh your hair between washes ? I'm at the beginning of my hair journey, and I have no idea how to maintain my hair between washes. Do I need to damp my hair ? Is the gel I put the day before still here ? What do I do ? I only trust you to have the right answer, you're the best ! Thank you so much for all your hard work.
I never did a 3 strand twist out. I might try that. I rarely do twist outs because my will only hold the style for a day a most then it frizzes out then converts to the natural coils.
Your content is always informative. I just love it. I want to start locs and wasn't sure if I should start them with two or three strand twists. I know I don't want coils. My hair is thin and fine. My shrinkage game is insane. After this video, I think I will try two strands.
Wow, I actually never heard of a three strand twist. I’m sure that I have seen it before but I assumed it was a different/ more curly texture that caused it to look that way.
Do you have a video on protective styles for crown breakage on natural hair? I normally wear to flat twists but i dont want to part my hair down the middle any more. Thanks!
I like the look of 2 strand better but I'm going to try the 3 strand using the same foaming lotion. My hair ALWAYS creeps loose. Maybe the 3 strand twist will help. Thanks.
Hey Glamfam. I love your informative videos. The delivery is awesome. How do you feel about the DIY leave-in conditioners on YOUTube? I’ve been doing one on my natural hair for almost 2 years. With your flat ironing and conditioning tips, I feel my hair is the healthiest it has been in years. I know it shouldn’t be done but any tips on trimming split-ends ourselves?
Helpful tutorial. Thank you. Individual preference aside, in your experience, what yields a better result on fine, medium density hair (if one wants a balance of volume and definition:) 2- or 3- strand twist?
Wonderful. Thanks so much for the rec. I E been trying 2 strand twists and haven’t been happy with results. (admittedly probably a bit of user error. 🫤 😀.) Will def try 3 strand. Thanks!!
I used to do twist outs often many many years ago. I'm thinking about going back to them. I'm finding I'm just tired of my wash and go look now that my hair has changed due to gray. It does not hold the wash and go as well and seems to be drier.
I haven't perfected the twist out yet but I do prefer 3 strand. I love the look of 2 strand but they always tangle on me overnight and take down is ruined. Maybe a technique or product issue
Hi!!.I just stumbled across your channel.. I'm learning to do twists.. I binge-watched a bunch of your videos. You make it easy to follow along.. Thank You so Much I'm subscribed P.S. your very attractive 😉 just a compliment, not being weird.. Thx again Enjoy your Day ✌️💋
How long does the style last after untwisting? Can you go to sleep and still have them look like that? Or do you do something more? I ask this because, when i twist my natural hair i just leave it twisted for 4 to 5 weeks. Just sleep with a bonnet and thats that, i want to try these method of twisting the untwisting to get that bouncy look but im confused if its going to last long after untwisting or its just a one time thing then the next day you have to do all the work again? Please help me out here
Hey Linwood. Quick question, If I had to choose between a paddle brush and a vented detangle brush for blow drying, which would be the better option for textured or 4c hair?
Hi there for some reason I am not receiving notification when upload a new video. Not sure why this is happening as I have been sub to your channel for quite a few years. Anyway another great informative video.

Can you recommend a company that sells high quality coconut oil, please?
Can you do a tutorial on Rope Twists with added hair and curly ends please, I love your videos !
2 strands looks like waves and 3 strands looks like spiral curls. Thanks for sharing because I never would have known the difference otherwise!😂
Hey Glamfam, its been a minute. Good to have you back on my timeline. Thank you for the tutorial❤
Yeah it’s been a bit! I need to get back on posting regularly!
Can you please give a tutorial for wrapping up our hair after a silk press for the night 😊
Sure thing! I will try to get that together for you soon!
Yes please‼️🙏🏾✨😩
Still trying to pick my jaw up from the floor. was today years old when I was taught of this "3 strands" twist. This is truly a game changer for me. And the perfect example of why I subscribe to this channel. You are the G.O.A.T.!
THANKS LOVE!!!
Same here! Can't believe I've been missing out all this time. Definitely a game changer for me as well.
You are a good teacher! You are making comparisons, explaining your process, and slowly showing us.
I wear two strand twists often. I will try the three strand as it gives more volume. Thanks Linwood!❤😊❤
That 3strand twist is 🔥🔥🔥
I love 3 strand twists, the definition is unmatched!
I did a three strand twist out I didn’t have to separate or nothing!
I love the 3 strand!
I do two strand twists but will have to give the three strand twists a try. You make it look so easy. Hopefully I can get it right when I attempt this style. 😢😆
My hair is anti twist and braid outs. Fluffing leads straight to frizz and loss of any definition, but it's not dense enough for me to not fluff🤷🏾♀️
I get it. What helps me with that is a scalp massage instead of fluffing
I usually braid at the root and then do a 3 strand twist to keep my hair stretched but put away fot the week. Volume at root for me is quick because of my speedy hair growth rate.
Could you do a vid on braiding the base of a three strand twist pleaseee
I haven't been able to be here in awhile but your voice is automatic peace to the soul. Thx for the vid & you/your fam stay safe. 🥰🙏🏽
Thanks so much fam! I appreciate you!
I'm a two strander, but I think I'll give those three strands a try just for comparison. Thanks for the tip!
I’m in cosmetology school and your videos have helped me so much. Thank you!!!
Thank you boo. 3 twist all the way.
Linwood, I like how those braids are done. I like the foaming lotion product on the hair. I’m gonna try it, I thank you for showing how to braid. You’re the best!!!
Never had a stylist detangle from the ends. It's like they have never heard of this!
Oh wow I’m sorry you never had that experience because this is the proper way to detangle hair
I have naturally long hair that I used to wear flat-ironed and hanging down my back. Started wearing 2-strand twists a few years ago but without untwisting them. After seeing your 3-strand twist demo, going to try it and untwist my hair to see how it looks.
Hi! I've never gone in the same direction in doing a 3 strand twist! Thx!
My pleasure fam! Thanks for watching!
This is such good timing, I've been working on my twists and twist outs. Might try my hand at the 3 strand.
3 strand is my go to for my daughter’s hair and it always looks good
Blessing WE MISS YOU 🙏❤️
Thanks fam! I appreciate you! ❤❤
I like the three strand twist. Thanks for sharing

Been missing these longer vidzzzz❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I’m a two-stranded because my hands cramp up but I will try it with the foam and styling serum. Love your techniques!!!!
This was a really good tutorial on 3 strand twists. My mind sees it as a juggling sort of motion. I like both results.
Both look nice👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I'm lazy about styling my hair I love wearing small braids, twists and locs because it's easy to style and manage.
I feel you! Post Covid I’m all about low maintenance!
Thank you for the tutorial! I prefer two strand only because it is easier. Your video has renewed my confidence and I will definitely be trying three strand twists

Would love to see a video on the seperating and fluffing after taking down! Love your videos!! ❤
Thanks so much for the suggestion Fam!
Great comparison. 👍🏾 I'm still liking the two strand better. Plus the two strand helps me protect my hair from breakage. Thanks again. ❤
I like how the 3-strand twist looks.
Thanks for this step by step video. Can you show the next steps for fluffing the roots? That’s where I always mess up
Thank you, thank yo,Linwood, I will use the foaming lotion and try the 3-strand twist. You’re the greatest!!
Hi Linwood. Can you give a tutorial on headbands? How to wear them? Which brand seems the best? And how to keep the front part of your hair moisturized while utilizing them.
Trying to stay glam😊
Thank you for this video I prefer 2 stran twist

Hello
Thank you 😊 I like the 3 strand
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Thank you Mr. Linwood, as always, a very good informative video. Good to see you doing well.
Hey Lynwood nice seeing you again! I like the 3 strand
Going to try the 3 strand
Thank you!
I prefer the 2 strand, but I've never tried the 3strand twist on my hair before so I'm going to give it a go, before I make a final decision. 🥰
Great to see you. Hope you are doing well.🙏🏾
Loving your new look and the new tutorial!❤
I never did a 3 strand twist out. I might try that. I rarely do twist outs because my will only hold the style for a day a most then it frizzes out then converts to the natural coils.

I love the 3 stand twist more than the 2 strand ones.
I'm glad to see you looking good ❤
Hey cousin, I'd love a video on which clarifying shampoo's are good for the different types of porosity etc🙏🏼🙏🏼
How did you know I've been needing a 3 strand twist tutorial 😊?? 2 strands always unravel almost immediately and have me looking a mess. Thank you!
Wow, I actually never heard of a three strand twist. I’m sure that I have seen it before but I assumed it was a different/ more curly texture that caused it to look that way.
Hi GlamFam! Good to see you again! I like both styles, but which one is best for fine and thinning hair?
Hey, I like both of them
Does your method (2 or 3 strand) also hold true for locs?
Do you have a video on protective styles for crown breakage on natural hair? I normally wear to flat twists but i dont want to part my hair down the middle any more. Thanks!
Which would be better for thinner less dense hair and size we do.TIA for all you do.❤
Love a twist out
I like the look of 2 strand better but I'm going to try the 3 strand using the same foaming lotion. My hair ALWAYS creeps loose. Maybe the 3 strand twist will help. Thanks.

@tracy04041 I have similar hair but high porosity fine hair with medium density. I think I may have to try 3 strands as my next twist out attempt
3 strand all day long! Blessings x
How about conditioning your hair before conditioning then conditioning after what's your thoughts
Love you boo❤️
Chyle that’s a LOT of conditioner 😂 one time is good 😂 thanks for watching fam!
Can you do 4 strand twist next
I love your videos. I’ve been thinking about purchasing your mannequin but, I’m unsure of what type of stand to get. Please advise.
My mannequin comes with a stand actually, so unless you are wanting a tripod, you should be good fam! Thanks for watching!
I used to do twist outs often many many years ago. I'm thinking about going back to them. I'm finding I'm just tired of my wash and go look now that my hair has changed due to gray. It does not hold the wash and go as well and seems to be drier.

just a compliment, not being weird..
Thx again
Enjoy your Day ✌️💋
Greatly appreciated! I have this mannequin (thank you) but can you tell us what wig stand tripod you are using? TIA
Any tips for twist outs on lower/medium density hair? I feel like my twist outs always come out so flat and bleh because I don’t have super thick hair
I love you!!!!!!!!
Much love back at you fam!
Do you prefer a foam wrap compared to other stuff to use? Why? is it better
How long does the style last after untwisting? Can you go to sleep and still have them look like that? Or do you do something more?

I prefer the three-strand twists, but I could never do it!😊
I didn't know 3 strand twists were a thing! I kind of like the greater definition.
Glad I could share with you! Thanks for watching!
Thought I was a 2 strand girl but liked the 3 strand side more! Love your videos and you. I'm going to drive 6 hrs and visit you one say! Lol
Hey Linwood. Quick question, If I had to choose between a paddle brush and a vented detangle brush for blow drying, which would be the better option for textured or 4c hair?
Love this❤❤❤
Hi there for some reason I am not receiving notification when upload a new video. Not sure why this is happening as I have been sub to your channel for quite a few years. Anyway another great informative video.
Thanks
By the time I did that I would have created a braid. 😂😂😂😂
3 strands for better definition. 2 strands easier to do.
Thanks for sharing.

Been missing you Linwood. Looking different 🧐🤔🤨🙂
