"So he always had that in him..." Cap's 'hammer time' beatdown on Thanos is peak MCU to me. The only time I've cheered for a Marvel movie in cinema. Cap has always been worthy, he just didn't want to hurt Thor's pride in Age of Ultron 😉 He felt it budge and let go. Now that Thor has had to deal with the loss of Mjolnir (and that he's not god of hammers 😅) he's ready to accept that others are worthy without hurting his self esteem. It's a really great culmination of Thor's emotional arc as well as a huge moment of awesome for Steve.
100% correct. The Russo brothers have confirmed, Cap always knew he was worthy, but intentionally didn't pick up the hammer in Avengers 2 because he's absurdly humble.
Lord, Tony's death really hit hard. You all are seeing all these within a few months. We had to usually wait at least a year for each movie to come to theaters, talk about long term (10 years) connecting to characters. Tony's scene still gets to me to this day. I grew up with the guy.
If Strange told Tony, Tony would try to find a way to survive and Thanos would win. Tony had to make the choice in the moment, knowing that there were no other options but to sacrifice himself to defeat Thanos and save the universe. "It was the only way."
"I keep telling people to move on. some do, but not us". Cap's words inform so much. Our heroes are given a better purpose and we see them do what they promised................ Avenge The Fallen, Restore The Universe, Whatever It Takes. Having the original 6 members with Ant-Man, War Machine and 2 of the Guardians in this grand plan felt like the end of Phase 1. Everybody playing their part, recalling the chemistry of the team, unexpected moments, remembering what we love about the MCU in the first place. From Time Travel to The Battle of Earth outside of Avengers Headquarters and Cap finally saying the battle cry AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!, this what it's all about. The endings; sad, good and tying up loose ends (for now) just prove how much was care for so that us fans stuck around for this long. Records were so broken before and after it's release. The biggest honors of all, highest-grossing superhero film ever and no.1 film of all time for nearly 2 years surpassing Avatar (2009). Also winning 36 consecutive awards by 2020. Everything we've known since 2008 gave us promise and perfection in the genre. Some have doubted that future sequels could never compare to the epicness that is Endgame. When the Avengers' return to the screen, we can only hope that reassembling will be just as epic.
The ending of this one gave me so much closure with Cap and Peggy getting their chance to be together…..and it gives a possible double meaning to the scene in Civil War where Alzheimer’s Peggy was crying and said “Steve, you came back!”
Cap weilding the hammer was a moment that was set all the way back in Age of Ultron(which I'm so happy you guys remembered), and the payoff was EPIC. The moment immediately after was even more EPIC,: Cap hears Sam's voice over the comms "On your left(an awesome call back to their first meeting in Winter Soldier)", multiple magic portals open and literally EVERYONE pulls up. Then Cap finally drops the line that's been teased since the beginning: "AVENGERS ASSEMBLE". SO DAMN EPIC!!!
The first time I saw this & Wong said; What, you wanted more?!, I immediately thought; Yes, please bring the Netflix heroes like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist & my favorite Marvel character, The Punisher! They didn't, but that would have been so freaking cool!

I thought I knew what characters were returning to the MCU before seeing this movie just based on the interviews I read I just didn’t know how. Then at a restaurant before seeing the movie some person waiting nearby turns to their friend while discussing the Black Widow movie that was announced I think and says “How can she get a movie they killed her off so they could get the soul stone?” And I’ve never been more angry.
My local sci-fi/fantasy/horror/superhero club has enough pull that my neighborhood theater often gets screenings the night before the scheduled general release date of movie like "Avengers: Endgame," so I got to see it with a packed house full of Marvel movie/Marvel comics fans. People were in tears during Steve and Peggy's dance at the end. It was great!
It was confirmed that's how it works. If you have all the stones, you have the power to do anything. They know that because they lived the last movie. It isn't "hope." It is confirmed. Thanos literally snapped his fingers and wiped out half of life in the universe.
I remember when I saw it in the theater I wanted to cry when Tony died, and I had held it in too, then the moment at 20:50 happened and I lost it 😭 Thankfully my friends and many others did too or it would have been awkward 😂
A detail that I always loved, Thanos was that father who would sacr…Kill his Daughter to win. Tony was the Father who would sacrifice himself to save his and win.
9:42 I wondered, How can Thanos cut Captain America's shield? I found this explanation... Thanos' double-edged sword (though unconfirmed) is very likely composed of the powerful cosmic metal, Uru. With Thanos wielding the weapon, it could do things that few other MCU weapons could ever come close to accomplishing.
Thanos sacrificed his daughter to make a better universe for himself, Tony sacrificed his life to make a better universe for his daughter, Tony is the perfect example of a father, that real father does anything for their children and never the other way around.
Amazing realization, also the parallel between Tony and Steve really just hit me 5 years later. Tony was selfish at first and did not wanna risk losing his own happiness for others but ended up sacrificing his own life for everyone anyway. Cap has spent so much time sacrificing his own personal life for his line of duty and in the end was selfish like Tony and wanted to get his own slice of life, truly masterful writing.
This movie had some moments that I really liked, but overall it kind of wrecks a lot of things and I can’t stand that. The moment themselves really good, it’s just too bad that the movie surrounding them wasn’t nearly up to the quality of Infinity War, and all of that interesting character motivation from Thanos get reset and we just get “evil for evil‘s sake” Thanos. Not to mention Steve going back and living through all those years, hidden the way, not doing anything is really dumb. I don’t know, I just really enjoyed Infinity War so much more.
Not starting any conspiracy theories, but did one of the writers make a time machine, had an idea coming back, and finished the script with the old Captain America handing over the shield?
"I feel like there should different hand signals..." Is there a manual to this thing? Having Infinity Gaunlet hand jive would be kinda interesting. What if you can't snap, does the Gauntlet still activate?

Wisely, they said nothing, because we'd have had to cut it out of the video as we have a zero current politics rule, so as to avoid fights in the comments. So you guys almost reached the end of The Infinity Saga and phase 3 with Spider-Man Far From Home. Now you're entering phase 4 a.k.a. The Multiverse Saga. It's important to note that while phases 1-3 only had movies, phase 4 and onwards have TV series and TV specials as well, which are just as important as the movies themselves, they are very much interconnected. I hope you take this into consideration because y'all will miss out on important content. And also more Marvel is great IMO. And side note, these shows are limited series, so don't worry about them being long, they're 6-9 episodes each. I would recommend posting the TV shows with like 2-3 episodes per video if y'all go through them a bit quicker, and also most are just 1 season with some having 2 or possibly more in the future. Anyways, here's the phase 4 release order: 1. WandaVision (9 episodes), The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (6 episodes), Loki season 1 (6 episodes), Black Widow (movie), What If...? (9 episodes), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (movie), Eternals (movie), Hawkeye (6 episodes), Spider-Man: No Way Home (movie), Moon Knight (6 episodes), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (movie), Ms. Marvel (6 episodes), Thor: Love and Thunder (movie), She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (9 episodes), Werewolf by Night (TV special), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (movie) and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (TV Special). These are the phase 4 projects...in real time we're in the middle of phase 5 but when the time comes I will write down the list for phase 5 as well :)
i thought the Community tv show , movie would have Cap go to Greendale college and give them the stones to put back, the Russo bros who directed this movie also worked on the tv show Community with Dan Harmon, who made Community and Rick and Morty and this movie, so we will see what they put in that movie, they are still making it

People have an emotional relationship with movies, so when you're really emotionally invested, you seek validation from reactions and it can feel like a rejection when the reaction isn't what you expected. My only issue with Thanos's plan was that it didn't address the actual problem but kicked the can down the road, to speak. His second plan was...dramatic, and still didn't guarantee that the problems would be fixed. Two thumbs up for will to see it through to the end however. Respect. Granted, I'm not quite the moaning at his appearance level, @toy4871 ;)
Tony sent Thanos and his crew back in time with their memories of the event erased, to keep the timeline intact. That means Thanoses end had to come from Thor Beheading him. That also means that eventually Gamora will have to go back in time to be Thanoses Sacrifice and Nebula will have to be resurrected and sent back to fulfill her part in this Destiny. A CUT SCENE that we needed to have in the Movie was on the Battlefield, Cap took a knee for Tony, followed by the entire cast.
You know what’s really messed up? Peggy said in an earlier movie that it was because of Steve she met her husband and Steve goes back in time and plays an uno reverse. Screw that guy! Damn Cap.

Few observations. 1 hw does captain america touch the infinity stones to return them, 2 how did he get the either back up into jane? 3 would like to hear the dialog on volimir when he gets there, 4 back to the future 2 was not explained to captain america so his change of the timeline made all previous movies with him never exist. 5 he tool molnjir with him did he return him too?

I kind of ask myself "If I were Cap and could hit Thanos with lightning, why would I run up close to him and fight him hand to hand where he can use his enormous strength and the longer reach of his big ass sword to their greatest advantage?" Of course, my primitive primal mind loves it when a hero and a villain go at it mano a mano (like in "Lethal Weapon"), but it's helpful if you can rationalize it (unlike "Lethal Weapon").
If Tori doesn't cry at the end of this then I take back what I've said about wanting to take her to the movies. I cry at the end of this, but I can't take her out if there's a chance that I'm gonna cry at a movie and she doesn't 😂. Not that I'm ever going to take her out to a movie 😅
The original Infinity War Storyline in the Comics is even more stupid. Thanos was a Simp for Mistress Death so he cut the population by 50% so he could be with her. 😂

She could have taken him if when he unloaded his big guns Wanda was already levitating him, if she had just lifted him up and held him over her and used him as a shield, he could have kept firing for as long as he wanted to endure it.

@@hkaayaakuu Well you shouldn't leave them out, because WandaVision makes reactors ball their eyes out similar to Endgame and was and is very well received, I've not seen a single reactor not like WandaVision or even Loki. Knowing that, we can disregard your particular opinion, not because there's no truth to it (though I believe there isn't) but because reactors love it and so did the vast majority of people. WandaVision did not ruin her character, you could argue that MoM did though, to some extent. Loki is not quite as good, but still decent. Some like it better. If you don't suggest Guardians 3 because you believe it isn't watchable, there is probably something wrong with you.
There are a lot and boy do I mean A LOT of hero movies. Hannah and Tori have been on a marvel adventure but we have many more movies we are watching right now too that I know you will love without the cgi. No spoilers, but the girls and I have some we have just seen with awesome effects that are not cgi and they are awesome! you should go read the comic book from the 90's its ws 100 times better and crazier. Thanos was 10x more evil. Plus ironman was not the savier...it was Adam Warlock. This movie did a terrible job following the true story. The fight was more universal then just a fight on earth. Thanos went after super Gods of the universes and multiverses.

Thanos sacrificed his daughter to make a better universe for himself, Tony sacrificed his life to make a better universe for his daughter, Tony is the perfect example of a father, that real father does anything for their children and never the other way around.
Amazing realization, also the parallel between Tony and Steve really just hit me 5 years later. Tony was selfish at first and did not wanna risk losing his own happiness for others but ended up sacrificing his own life for everyone anyway. Cap has spent so much time sacrificing his own personal life for his line of duty and in the end was selfish like Tony and wanted to get his own slice of life, truly masterful writing.
This movie had some moments that I really liked, but overall it kind of wrecks a lot of things and I can’t stand that. The moment themselves really good, it’s just too bad that the movie surrounding them wasn’t nearly up to the quality of Infinity War, and all of that interesting character motivation from Thanos get reset and we just get “evil for evil‘s sake” Thanos. Not to mention Steve going back and living through all those years, hidden the way, not doing anything is really dumb. I don’t know, I just really enjoyed Infinity War so much more.

So you guys almost reached the end of The Infinity Saga and phase 3 with Spider-Man Far From Home. Now you're entering phase 4 a.k.a. The Multiverse Saga. It's important to note that while phases 1-3 only had movies, phase 4 and onwards have TV series and TV specials as well, which are just as important as the movies themselves, they are very much interconnected. I hope you take this into consideration because y'all will miss out on important content. And also more Marvel is great IMO. And side note, these shows are limited series, so don't worry about them being long, they're 6-9 episodes each. I would recommend posting the TV shows with like 2-3 episodes per video if y'all go through them a bit quicker, and also most are just 1 season with some having 2 or possibly more in the future.
Anyways, here's the phase 4 release order: 1. WandaVision (9 episodes), The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (6 episodes), Loki season 1 (6 episodes), Black Widow (movie), What If...? (9 episodes), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (movie), Eternals (movie), Hawkeye (6 episodes), Spider-Man: No Way Home (movie), Moon Knight (6 episodes), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (movie), Ms. Marvel (6 episodes), Thor: Love and Thunder (movie), She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (9 episodes), Werewolf by Night (TV special), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (movie) and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (TV Special).
These are the phase 4 projects...in real time we're in the middle of phase 5 but when the time comes I will write down the list for phase 5 as well :)

My only issue with Thanos's plan was that it didn't address the actual problem but kicked the can down the road, to speak. His second plan was...dramatic, and still didn't guarantee that the problems would be fixed. Two thumbs up for will to see it through to the end however. Respect. Tony sent Thanos and his crew back in time with their memories of the event erased, to keep the timeline intact. That means Thanoses end had to come from Thor Beheading him.
That also means that eventually Gamora will have to go back in time to be Thanoses Sacrifice and Nebula will have to be resurrected and sent back to fulfill her part in this Destiny.
A CUT SCENE that we needed to have in the Movie was on the Battlefield, Cap took a knee for Tony, followed by the entire cast.
You know what’s really messed up? Peggy said in an earlier movie that it was because of Steve she met her husband and Steve goes back in time and plays an uno reverse. Screw that guy! Damn Cap.

I kind of ask myself "If I were Cap and could hit Thanos with lightning, why would I run up close to him and fight him hand to hand where he can use his enormous strength and the longer reach of his big ass sword to their greatest advantage?" Of course, my primitive primal mind loves it when a hero and a villain go at it mano a mano (like in "Lethal Weapon"), but it's helpful if you can rationalize it (unlike "Lethal Weapon").

Knowing that, we can disregard your particular opinion, not because there's no truth to it (though I believe there isn't) but because reactors love it and so did the vast majority of people. WandaVision did not ruin her character, you could argue that MoM did though, to some extent. Loki is not quite as good, but still decent. Some like it better.
If you don't suggest Guardians 3 because you believe it isn't watchable, there is probably something wrong with you.

you should go read the comic book from the 90's its ws 100 times better and crazier. Thanos was 10x more evil. Plus ironman was not the savier...it was Adam Warlock. This movie did a terrible job following the true story. The fight was more universal then just a fight on earth. Thanos went after super Gods of the universes and multiverses.
