Somewhere in time features Adrian and Dave’s best guitar work imo all those solos are amazing…With that said awesome job on this it really shows just how awesome and great Adrian is..
My thought was when Maiden started, Dave was clearly better. Powerslave is when they became equals and since then Adrian keeps getting better. Sea of Madness is THE perfect guitar solo
It’s not just the solos, it’s the guitar tone. I wish I could make my fender sound like it does on sea of madness, that solo when the drums go quite is lovely . And stranger in a strange land isint just one of my fave maiden solos it’s one of my fave solos by any band
Great covers of great solos by Adrian! What I love about Maiden is that each guitarist brings something different to the table, Adrian has tasty bluesy licks, Dave has silky smooth shredding and Janick is controlled chaos...together they make epic music. Up the Irons!
Holy Smoke! That you can play all these solos so accurately is beyond comprehension! I was always a massive Adrian Smith fan, (not to be underestimated by Dave of course), but this is something else...Can you play all of Dave's solos as well? 😉
What an absolute blast! ...Sunday afternoon, just finished boxing training so still psyched up and this 20 minute masterpiece appears...absolutely blasting it out...top man.
It was a good idea bro. All very good solos, songs..etc. Today is a National Day in Hungary because of the people revolution against the communist resime and the Soviet army in 1956.
One continuous and stupid set of notes. There is a Russian team "Aria", they are often called plagiarists of Western mastodons Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Deep Purple and so on. In the rhythm sections? Most likely, yes, in fact they play a genre and are limited by the genre, but in solo parts Iron Maiden sucks on both cheeks. Just listen to their solo in the song "Рабство иллюзий" or "Паранойя" or "Герой асфальта", you will understand what a good solo is. In fact, they stole everything except the texts, which were not even a head, but a whole foot higher, and the solo parts. In fact, of all these solo parts, only Number of the Beast and Trooper at least somehow come close to... imitators in terms of material development
Very cool to see all these in order. It’s an absolutely awesome body of work Steph! Thanks for all the great lessons. Seeing these all in a row was really a good bit of fun!
Your vibrato needs tons of practice....it is really dead! Listen to Paul Kossof from the band Free for great killer vibrato. Criticism will help more than praise here, so don't take it wrong!
Awesome tribute Steph, must have taken you a while to learn all his solos! Dave and Adrian are one of the all time great guitar pairings, been listening to them since Piece of Mind first came out🤘🤘🤘
Awesome thank you steph and for adrian work for sharing and for all the band members fans and crew out their you are all amazing and really good blokes. I really hope you all have a great long lasting healthy lives keep doing what your doing. Wishing your all families well happy healthy lives. I just hope it's a great 2023 for maidens
Bonne continuation !
Adrian sounds like David Gilmore and Eric Clapton bluesy player
Adrian Smith is the best. Awesome playing on all of his 1980s solos. I wish I could play them that well:)
Thanks!

Thanks. 100 % agreed about Somewhere in Time solos!

Couldn’t agree more - to me, Powerslave and SIT are their respective peaks.
in my opinion Dave’s best solos are on Powerslave, but Somewhere in Time is definitely Adrian’s album
Great covers of great solos by Adrian! What I love about Maiden is that each guitarist brings something different to the table, Adrian has tasty bluesy licks, Dave has silky smooth shredding and Janick is controlled chaos...together they make epic music.
Up the Irons!
Yes, 3 very different styles but very complementary too.
Adrian Smith is a very underrated guitar player. All his solos are so recognizable … and the Stranger in a strange Land solo is a masterpiece!
Adrian is the Best. Thanks for this video.
He did so many great solos in the 80s, and also after he came back in the band...
Wow, that was epic dude 🎸 you must have put in some work to learn all them solos 😳 very well done 👍🏻
Thanks! Some needed more work than others ^^ But on the whole, Adrian's solos are less difficult than Dave's...
Holy Smoke! That you can play all these solos so accurately is beyond comprehension! I was always a massive Adrian Smith fan, (not to be underestimated by Dave of course), but this is something else...Can you play all of Dave's solos as well? 😉
Thanks. I have posted most of Dave's solos from the 80s too, but not with this long video format
What an absolute blast! ...Sunday afternoon, just finished boxing training so still psyched up and this 20 minute masterpiece appears...absolutely blasting it out...top man.
Thanks, I'm glad you like it!
Adrian is a genius and you a master!! 🤘🤘
Thanks!

Thanks. I didn't know that (or maybe you already told me 1 or 2 years before and I forgot 😁), so it was a good day to post a video!
@@StephLeGratteux Absolutely!!
Thank you Steph!! 🤗✌👍🏻
Absolutely nailing it. Would be nice just to have all the individual solos on cd.👍👍
Thanks!

Wonderful job my man, wonderful. Can have this running in the background for hours
Thank you!
7th son has always been one of his most prog solos
True
Your vibrato needs tons of practice....it is really dead! Listen to Paul Kossof from the band Free for great killer vibrato. Criticism will help more than praise here, so don't take it wrong!
holy ides of march this must've been a lifetime of mastering. props to you bro!
Quelle inspiration il avait sur Somewhere in time and Seventh son...
I know I’m late..wow ! Great job! Nailed all of them!
Thanks!

Awesome tribute Steph, must have taken you a while to learn all his solos! Dave and Adrian are one of the all time great guitar pairings, been listening to them since Piece of Mind first came out🤘🤘🤘
Thanks. A while in a few years, so that wasn't so much ^^ Yes, the greatest pair imo, because of the solos and all the harmonized interludes too
an amazing collection of videos that clearly show his progression as a guitar player within 7 years (81-88)..... excellent job!
thanks!
Peak Maiden right there. It's a shame it was over 35 years ago.

I dont know if its his best, but sea of madness is so underrated.
I've never been a huge fan of the song, but his solo is one of his best for sure
