This was absolutely perfect timing. I have the EV ETX-12P speakers and the Wash FX2s as well and I was looking for a way to connect them for a wedding I have to do on Saturday. You were a God send.
This is awesome!! Thanks for sharing. This is going to make it easier to setup/breakdown and I think it also looks clearer as opposed to using the t-bar.
I just mounted a Chauvet Kinta Mini on the top of a RCF ART 932-A using that technique and the light rests on the front of the speaker where it is tapered to tilt it downward straight at a dance floor. Can't wait to try it out! Thanks!!!
On my k12s, I took off the top handle, attached a screw thru the bottom, reattached and then I just have the washer and wing nut handy when mounting. I can’t remember who I saw that from but it’s all magical. Love these concepts
All speakers are different. If your speaker has the flu point screws, this will work. I have some DJ’s use lighting O clamps for speakers with handles on top. I would look into seeing if the O clamp will hook onto your handle.
If you don't have fly points and the top of your speakers are fairly flat you can use strong outdoor use velcro strips (15lb+ hold). Trim them to size and they are very secure. Only thing is there isn't adjustments up and down like it is here when you attach using a fly point on the bracket. Mounting these lights on the poles could blind your guests lol
I would suggest getting a piggy back power cord. It's an IEC and traditional plus in one. This was you only have to run 1 power cord to your speaker. HOSA makes one PWD 402 olis a 2ft and PWD 401, 1 foot. There are other styles from other companies.
What’s good DJ BRY! Awesome video! Just wanted to let you know that this no life DJ Ernie "Morocco" Muraoka is using your video without giving credit on his video. He be always judging other DJs on how they setup.
I just watched his video….I am laughing so hard!! 😂😂😂 It doesn’t bother me lol. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. He has commented a few times on my videos anyways. Thanks for the heads up!
This is known for many years. Thanks anyway. 4 minutes to show how to tight a screw. The problem is that the light effect becomes diffcult to control from a Remote since the sensor is located in front of the unit. So the DJ has to walk to the speaker and point the remote towards the unit everytime. As we ahev two speakers, one may want to have the second as slave to the master. So a DMX cable (or a wireless DMX) is required to interconnect the two units.. Also, think about the power. The cord is 6 ft long. You may decide to replace it with a longer to reach a power bar located on the floor. Or you could mount a power bar at the back of the speaker, but that look messy. This is what I would like to see in that video. In another life maybe.

Glad I could help!

Like, this shit is so easy. How people don’t figure this out on their own really baffles me but appreciate you educating everyone!

mind blown. Great tip!
I've got ev speakers but not this model so no fly hooks. I'm going to try to use an o clamp around the top handle though and see if that will work.

Super smart modification!
Great idea do you have a picture how it’s done ?
@@djdavebdjdaveb3885 I will get one soon for you
@@5thElementDFW Can we see a picture of this? I'm loving the idea. Thanks!
thanks for this!
I wonder if the alto ts415 have this will buy today
Great video! I’m curious, Would there be any issues with vibration and burning the light out? I would like to try this out!!
I have not had any issues in the past 3-4 years I’ve been running this setup.
@@DJ-BRY ok that’s great news thanks 😎
What sensitivity setting do you use? or how do you the them up?
I use the ADJ Airstream DMX app to control my lighting. I will make a video on how I program my lighting at some point
Nice !!! Will this work with the qsc k12 ?
Yes I believe so. Their fly point screws have rubber covers on them. Just remove it and you’ll find the screw
Do have to get a longer power cable for it since it’s to high up maybe you can make a video on how you power them
How do you dmx your wash fx?
Are use Donner wireless DMX with an airstream DMX bridge controlled by my iPad.
what if you just have a handle on top

I will look into these for sure. I have been thinking about it for a while.
Is it the same as an extension cord?
How do you stop light from moving and folding?
Tighten the screws. I never have issues if I make sure they are tight enough.

Can speaker vibration damage the light?
It hasn’t so far after 50+ gigs doing it this way
