Watching a total solar eclipse should be on everyone's bucket list. It is so surreal to see stars and planets close to the Sun when eclipsed with a 360 degree sunset dusk on the horizon.
I saw the 2017 eclipse in Madras, Oregon...beautiful and clear day with 2 of my sons, and daughter in-law. The rest of the week we went river rafting in the Cascades and Deschutes River. I plan to fly to Dallas with a lay-over at DWF for 13 hours with the eclipse happening in the middle of the layover, and then onto Nashville to hang out with relatives for the week. I figure it would save a lot of time and money to avoid expensive hotel rates and car rentals. Just go to the top floor of the parking structure there for the event.
Also, Teri Garr is best known (and her sexiest) in the black and white comedy, "Young Frankenstein"...

Texas pan handle isn't long enough to worry about stopping and Oklahoma eastern has Ozark mountains and lots of dispersed camping. Near Fort Smith Arkansas also offers awesome camping. Just might be hard to find a place because there is supposed to be so many people here for the eclipse. Hotels are charging a lot for a stay. And gas is going up because of the visitors. I live in northeast Arkansas so hopefully weather is good and I can see it . Happy travels and stay safe. I don't think you need the west Memphis map unless you go to far lol.
My town of Terrell Texas is right under the center of the path of 100% coverage. Have fun Sarah and be careful traveling.
If you are reading this and taking I40, fuel up at the Love's Truck stop outside Kingman. When you hit NM, fuel in Gallup. Whatever time you go thru Albuquerque, do NOT stay in Albuquerque anywhere. If it's getting late, I live just south of Abq and will give you a safe place to stay or stay in Moriarty. Watch the weather heading east on 40. If weather gets bad, sometimes they shut 40 down at Santa Rosa. Have a safe journey.

Hi Sarah , Talk to your 4WD shop about a dual Battery set up ,there should be an off the shelf kit for your rig .That way all the accessory's run off the second battery .leaving you starter battery untouched and the clever box of tricks in that kit allows the cars charging system to charge both batterys automaticly . they are very popular here in OZ. Watch out for Flagstaff, yesterday Easter huge snow storm i40 was closed in both directions at Winslow.

Great promo on the little fridge. We were supposed to have a 80-plus percent eclipse here a few years ago. It was cloudy and I barely noticed it occurred. Good luck with the clouds.
Motels have been booked all along the eclipse zone. Shit is so marked up your wallet will smoke. From the Gulf of Mexico up into Canada. $850 a day motel room. 🤞🏻 Good luck!!!🍀👍

You can plug your jackery into the dash of your car and the bough into the jackery to keep your jackery topped off or just plug your fridge into the dash and when you have to shut off the car the jackery will be still fully charged. The jackery will keep your fridge running over night then while driving plug both into the dash to recharge the jackery and run your fridge. You’ll get the back of it.

Traveling I to live by my self and I'm content with that I dont half to entertain anybody else if I want to get up and go I do and dont half to worry what they may want to do. For all you solar eclipse nerds out there in the southern half of America starting in Texas will be your best bet to see it
weather permitting! It will start at Del Rio,TX and travel time wise ,northeast to exactly between Paris and Texarkana,
TX in a straight line. From there across Arkansas to Ozark Acres AR on US 412. Maximum totality is about 4 minutes
14 seconds on that line. Lake Ouachita would be a great spot to see the eclipse WH! Boondocking will mean some
extensive research along I-40. You always come prepared even with green welding glasses! They MUST be rated at 8.0
and no less! That 12Volt frig is amazing woman. Very stylish for you ladies out there for camping in the RV or car. Black
and grey are $20 cheaper BTW. Now now WH don't be so jealous of Margot. She is just a pretty gal with huge , well you
