Songbird: Selfish and will do anything she can do in order to survive, even betraying her own friends.
Reed: A man true to his words, but sadly just another loyal lapdog to a corrupt government.
These characters really makes you question whether is it really worth it to be a "good guy" in Cyberpunk...

      More like . . .
Songbird: a victim of manipulation and abuse from the NUSA, Myers, Reed, and Hansen, who just wants to be free.
Rees: a dead man walking who gave up on everything he believes in and will never be free from the leash wrapped around his neck.
Saving So Mi over helping Reed was the easiest choice I ever made in this game.

I've beaten this game so many times, gotten every possible ending out there. For the DLC, my V decided he was tired of running and tired of living. Saving Songbird was the one thing he knew he could get right.
I let her take the cure and go to the moon. I killed Reed, and stormed Arasaka tower right through the front door, all by myself just to prove once and for all who's the baddest mother fucker in night city. When all was said and done I let Johnny walk away with the body, and that felt like a good way to say goodbye to Cyberpunk 2077. "Haven't forgotten a thing. Never will."
Until next time, CDPR. Thanks for making this once-in-a-generation. game.

Songbird doesn't have a clean slate at all, but she's basically backed herself into a similar corner that V has. That alone is enough to swing V's opinion heavily in Songbird's favor. No way in hell I'd let someone go through the same shit as V especially if I have the power to change that fate. I gotta say, sending So Mi to the Moon is the best possible ending for thematic reasons. Even everything Reed said about consequences came true, but just not in the way he would have wanted.
Myers couldn't fathom anything less than total control over anything she deemed as valuable.
Because of her iron grip, she lost her most loyal agents, and her most powerful weapon.
Alex always believed her next mission would be her last.
But even in Monte Carlo, she's still bound to her FIA overlords.
Reed chose duty, orders, and his nation before himself and his friends, but he never really had a choice.
He could never see what he was truly fight for, what he really wanted, and it killed him.
Songbird finally gets the opportunity to leave her cage, spread her wings, and fly free.
But now she carries the weight that came with the life she sacrificed so much to keep.
You had to choose to give up your shot at a cure that doesn't have an Arasaka Logo slapped on it somewhere, for someone who never had any intentions on actually saving you.
But you got to *choose* . No "Greater Good", No Duty, No Loyalty. You fought for a choice. You fought for *_You_* .
That's the one thing anyone can really strive for in a world that sees you as a tool.

When playing the DLC I knew that V wouldn't be cured because the DLC takes place in the middle of the story. Wasnt too shocked when Song betrayed V, its unfortunately her nature. She just wanted to be free and so I killed Reed and sent her to the moon. Plus I don't think the dose would've lasted long anyways, the relic is too unpredictable. But then again, I guess we will never know. Once again CDPR writes another masterpiece. Can't wait for future games from them.

This is just a terrible take. Reed is no saint sure but at least he is true to his word. Songbird actively fucks over anyone she can just so she can live. She literally tells V that she is wants to blow up a stadium full of innocent people as a distraction and tells V "their deaths are so that we can live" (which of course as we know she just means herself).
Oh yeah and the fact that she waits until the last possible minute to tell you that there was only one cure all along and its reserved for herself only? Pretty much telling you "yeah you helped me thanks I guess have fun being an enemy of the NUSA and FIA while im in space getting the cure I promised you." The game tried to paint her as a mirror to V but she's really just V if they were selfish. She doesn't deserve a happy end.

The lady - V - who was saving her could tell he was bad for her; just after she put her down, as she was standing back up, she drew her gun and shot him in the chest. Then carried So Mi, to the plane; then they left together.

So Mi was used and abused by Myers, as was Reed, and sending her back to that just felt wrong. The real Reed died in 2070, as was alluded to by Alex, and the one that came back was a hollow shell who couldn't find another purpose. Putting him to rest didn't feel wrong to me in exchange for So Mi. Also Johnny very much prefers you to not be a "sell out". So much fun to play in the spaceport, great music and ambiance.
