      i feel like having someone to contact in the case of an emergency would be best and more realistic, like having the nurse or someone from FIA call with an update and allowing close friends to visit, but hey, V is alive, and its more open ending that could lead to something.
      everything else V isent surviving or highly impleied that doing something with 99% or not coming out alive, i want the space casino ending expension and have more of mr blue eyes, because he had contact with songbird, so he has to be involved somewhere, somehow if they were to make another DLC.

    All of these endings are depressing af, but I expected it given the nature of the plot. For me, the best ending is still where V and Johnny storm Arasaka together on the suicide mission. The dialogue of "Huh, you finally discovered what it takes to be a Legend" is absolute chills for me. V accepts his fate, and goes out guns blazing with a hot iron in his hands right through the front door, absolutely badass. Two Brothers in arms going on one last mission together, V finally stops fearing death so much, and just says f*ck it.

    This really just proves to me that the only real relationships V had were with Jackie, Misty, and Viktor. After you’re of no use they cut off contact. All the other “happy endings” were V going along with what the other people wanted (leaving NC) but whenever V insisted to do what he wanted (live long or spend his short time as an NC legend) they’d leave him. This kinda taints the image I once had of the characters like Panam and Judy, all these endings make them seem absolutely selfish especially towards a man with a terminal illness.

    • @Jasondurgen
      @Jasondurgen 8 месяцев назад +6

      Dang I think you just gave me a new perspective of the story. I was always for the nomad ending with panam, and I still lean towards it, but you make some good points. I just wish someone would have common sense to tell their partner and friends “hey folks, I might be out cold for a few years while I get cured of my terminal illness. Idk where I’m going but don’t forget about me.” And even if time does pass, maybe people die, they move out of the country, maybe they even fall out of love, at least they don’t completely turn on V like they were a goddamn menace. Definitely a very strangely written set of endings, but in my opinion, every little thing about the game is strange I think, so it all adds up in the philosophical calculator

    • @krisskrosssss
      @krisskrosssss 8 месяцев назад +5

      @@Jasondurgen I find the Tower ending to be the best ending. Although in face value it seems like the most depressing, it's the most hopeful imo. V learns that although you feel like you've hit rock bottom and have lost everyone, you can still recover. Misty was able to recover after losing Jackie, V and her shop. Judy was able to recover after losing Evelyn and V. That's why after V says goodbye to Misty he/she smiles in the end knowing that although this is the lowest point of their life, you're alive and cured, people before have recovered from similar circumstances and it's a start to a new hope. Not dragged down by other people's decisions, fake relationships, or ending up your last days alone. Finally not worrying about the little time you have left, but in search of hope and something real.

      You gotta take into account that V knew Jackie, Misty and Viktor for way longer than Judy and Panam.
      V only knew Judy and Panam for 2 weeks tops canon-wise…it’s entirely possible they could have went on to form just as strong, if not stronger, relationships with V if they had a lot more time. Realistically, after you’ve known someone for that short amount of time, you’re gonna move on after 2 years. Plus, we don’t exactly know what happened to someone like Panam, it’s also possible that she could’ve passed away or something

Johnny was a pawn in the NUSA's war with Arasaka, not a terrorist. The public definitely would think this, but the higher ups in the government would know the truth. well considering this is Cyberpunk series, the sad part is that this is still going to happen to Panam after V dies in the Nomad ending since most likely they never find a way to save V and he still dies 6 months later. Ya the 6 months were probably the best moments of their life but for Panam, she may develop into this since the trigger for this 2 years later self of her was V's assumed Death so she acted the way she is through the 2 years to move on from V's death.

      that is complete BS. this ending is a double ending. you get it this way or if you stay loyal to reed all along which sadly kills Alex along the way. when you are on that roof and call reed and get into the chopper , you can call panam. i did that. and in that call you explain to her , that no one knows how longs it is going to be but it is expected to be around 4-6-8 weeks.
      so that bitch knows damn well. after you wake up she is the first call, you explain you were in a coma and then mitch calls and says :" do not call again , she is hurt." what a fine way to wiggle out. especially since they could have been together forever. leaving night city and being an aldecaldo
      but nono .... she had to make it a drama-thing ..... she or the cdpr ppl. in any way it seemed weired , so hellbent on making this ending shitty , when this is the only good ending , cause V lives , and can build himself a new fortune. he allready was a legend, now he can live a new life. was so disappointed how they painted all those loosers who shit on him, call him guilty and such all while he was fighting for his life and laying in coma for 2 years. i guess it shows how many friends V really had. in the end only Reed kept him close and misty , and misty leaves. Victor is a half win. also judy was such a looser. i was male v , so we never had a love thing . why cut ties with a good friend? all i wanted was a friend and she said go fuck yourself. bad writing.

    Thanks for saving me the time in doing this ending. I sent Songbird to the moon, then went straight back to the Aldecados ending to finish off my Cyberpunk story for good. It's not the perfect ending, but... idk, given the tragedy of night city I felt it was fitting. Reed was never going to allow Songbird to be free, and though she was far from perfect, nobody deserves to be a tortured AI guinea pig under Myers for the rest of eternity. I also felt Reed was a tired man, who never truly could ever let go of war, so in a sense... I felt he could finally rest in his own way. Gave Alex my coin so she can go into early retirement after my "death" supposedly. Then, disappear into the great unknown with the Nomads, riding on that last bit of hope that maybe, I can live a fulfilling life still, just like Songbird rode onto that hope to the very end. Even Johnny of course makes it out with ALT, hopefully on his own journey beyond the Blackwall.

Not leaving your friends a line, let alone your girlfriend a message saying, "I'm going into surgery, I might be out of commission for a while, so please wait for me." Being vague about things, holding back information, that's a concoction for fucking up your life.
    But the one thing this new epilogue does is that it gives insight as to what happens to your circle of friends after your "death". One way or another, everybody moves on, go their separate ways. As per Cyberpunk tradition: "There are no happy endings in Night City."

      Well (SPOILER ALERT), the ending indeed does seem solid, except for the fact that all of V's friends moved on, are dead or went outta town or don't wanna stay in contact with him after his coma. For example, Victor still supports V, but you really feel how disconnected he's gotten over the two year time span that V's been in the coma. Misty closed her esoterica shop. Panam doesn't talk to V anymore. Johnny died when they removed the Relic. Jackie is still dead. In this ending, V is completely on his own. Yeah, he lives a normal live, might find new people. But he'll have to deal with the loss of all of his old friends and family as well as his capability to be a chromed out legend. To me, it is depressing af to see V getting sent away by Vick in this ending. To me, it is depressing af to see V vanish into the crowd, being a lonely nobody. The relic ran hell through his entire body, the point is that sometime to get what you want you have to make sacrifices, v gets another chance at life, but he cant return to his old life, v got what he wanted, but like with everything, it had its own consequences, the point the story makes throughout the game is that, most of the time, there arent happy endings in night city, its give and take, I highly doubt after everything the relic did, the damage to his nervous system, he wouldn’t have any lasting effects, it was inevitable, v only believed the surgery would last a month tops, thats why you get the option to let everyone know your going out of town for a bit, there was no way for v to know he would end up in a coma. That being said, I definitely still prefer the nomad ending like you, i just think this is the most realistic shot v has at survival

    You know what? As much as I enjoyed the DLC I don’t think I want to finish this part of the campaign on me current save, I really don’t understand the reasoning for CDPR to force this, I was hoping for Phantom Liberty to reward the player with a solidly good ending considering this is the only DLC and there won’t be any current continuation with V from what I’ve heard. Especially since the whole falling out feels so heavy handed, why not give the player the opportunity to clue Panam in? What a bummer of a send off. Let’s just pray CDPR roll out a final update or something that actually rewards everyone with a satisfying and definite conclusion.

She isn't rational or logical, but she's ride or die as long as you're there for her when she needs you. V stopped being there, though through no fault of their own.
      Panam acting on emotion is the crux of her conflict with Saul. Ghosting V is totally in character, especially when you consider that she even left her clan behind once. Judy is married and he wouldn't want to screw up her new life, and River has become corrupt, something V tried to avoid. So that leaves out the girl-girl romance and female V - male romance, and you just can't have that. Trying to rebuild with Kerry doesn't have the interesting game possibilities, because the real issue with Kerry is he's just too busy with his life. Panam is the one with the deep emotional issue that would require significant effort to approach and deal with, and there's just too many people who would scream about how the devs were anti-gay bigots if the only gameplay to recover romance was male player female love. And the real V that loved Panam wouldn't let her go, so it's either write a game with no romance possibilities at all, screwing Panam-V, or write a whole Panam-V story on top, pissing off the other possibilities. Only way out of it is to exclude all past romances and thereby screw V, or write whole new stories with V as an NPC fixer, which I could live with. I'd prefer a Panam redemption arc, with new characters as possible romances for the other three version, but that wouldn't work unless V was a player. Maybe as a fixer he could issue a mission to force contact with Panam/River, or kidnap Kerry, but Judy is in a good spot and V would never screw that up.

She has the right not to want contact with V anymore, but I think he deserves an explanation, not getting offended and not answering the phone. Especially when V explains that he was in a coma and literally had no way to contact her because of it, the first thing she should do is call him back.
    Well, he was in an unplanned coma, how was he supposed to talk to her?
    In this ending, Panam shows how immature she is, she can't even say goodbye to him properly and go her own way. She gets offended about something that V had no control over, and even when he explains everything to her, she doesn't even send the message. So, she sends Mitch to tell V about all this, really? It's so pathetic and sad that Panam is like this and even if she doesn't want to have contact with V anymore, she should care that he saved his life beacuse they were friends. But no, she will be offended and will not answer instead of being happy that V is alive. It's good that she have a new life without V, but her behavior is mean. No explanation, no goodbye, just beeing mean and act like a child.

    I was actually angry few days ago when I finished the story with this ending, even after the initial shock I feel like it's unrealistic, I get it, Cyberpunk is a game with no happy endings, but you told her that you're going away for an operation, operations have risks, me personally, if I was Panam would presume V was dead, and would be relieved when I'd hear from him, and being in a coma for 2 years should be a valid reason for not picking up the phone, and I'd be just happy that my loved one is alive after all, I understand that they're not together anymore, but to not even talk with them is just not realistic,
    imo, they should have done something different why can't be in touch, 2 years is a long time and the cyberpunk world is dangerous, I'd think it would have been even sadder, but more importantly more realistic if Panam died in a warren shiv attack or something.

    Damn, Johnny looks so sad in the AV. The way he just takes off his glasses and starts staring at the wall his hard. He knows he isn't dying, but he knows he lost a true friend in V. And the way he calls V by his name just confirms this, since V only lets those truly intimate to him call him by his real name. Each time i watch one of the videos about this new ending just confirms to me how this is not the ideal ending, it's just another one. It's bitter as shit since not V nor Johnny get to accomplish their final goals: V becoming the legend of Night City and Johnny getting revenge on Smasher.

    I wish that instead of the end credit scene where Mitch calls us, there'd be a sort of 'skip' a few months later. V is working with Reed as a sort of man in the chair, definitely better but not 100%. Mitch calls, tells V not to call anymore because Panam is getting over it. He has Reed look into Panam, figure out where she is, and despite being told not to, V goes out to find her. I really would love to see what happens 'after' these endings, and I REALLY wish we were allowed to continue to call/text panam.
    I think that if V just ghosted her, it'd be something different. But given that he pretty much explained that, he was going somewhere for around a month after just speaking with the FIA, and then vanished for two years, calls her and drops a voicemail that he had surgery and was in a COMA for two years, she has no real right to be mad. I'm going to guess, that with the way Mitch was talking. Panam found someone else, even if it's some sort of rebound after V. Panam can straight up scream at her father figure, burn 90% of the bridges she knows, but doesn't have the balls to tell V how she really feels when he's available after two years. Somethings not right.
    What bothers me even more is the whole 'combat implants' thing. My V, didn't use any combat enhancers, a majority of my gameplay was sitting behind cover, hacking a camera, and frying peoples brain via quickhacks. Cyberdecks aren't technically combat implants, so I don't understand why they blanket treat V like he's some sort of cripple. I'm sure that given some time, and intensive treatment/physical therapy V can go back to slightly normal again. Maybe not fighting Adam Smasher, but easily capable of quickhacking people to death.
    It's just weird, my V was pretty much organic other than better eyes, mantis blades I used once. (literally only got them for cosmetic reasons), and my Arasaka Mk.4 Cyberdeck. I can understand them saying 'no more combat implants.' but dude, my V was objectively the best netrunner in night city, my shit was maxed out. Cyberdecks are an operating system, not a combat implant. I get they can't alter the lines of an A list actor for every build, but cmon dude.
    End of the day, I still took up Reed on his offer.

    • @Suksass
      @Suksass 8 месяцев назад

      I think this is due to cyberdeck being implanted into your head acts as a combat implant. Hacking strains your brain, so any proper hacking or net runing is just as likely to kill you as normal implant combat.

Panam's reaction makes no sense, and is cruel beyond belief. She knew you'd be undergoing a surgical procedure and you might be gone for about a month. After over a month of no contact, rather than getting mad, she should have started suspecting something went wrong an started looking for you instead. That is what the real Panam would have done. Remember how she talked in some of the other endings? She said she'd kill whoever hurt us. But nope, she just gave up on V and apparently concluded he did it on purpose? Never wants to see him again?
