I got to use my friends one and wow I loved it. Unfortunately I just can't justify the price tag. I got something similar from manfrotto for £200 instead. Its pretty good but its not this.
been going back & forth this last year, trying to decide if i should buy this tripod or not. might be overkill for photography (landscape/architecture is what i mainly do). at the same time, i'm tired of fiddling w/ ball-heads that don't perfectly stay in place & multi-sectional twist nobs on the legs.
Yeah, it's probably overkill but if your income justifies it or you'd simply like to make your work easier I don't think you'd be disappointed. It was a big spend for me but I've not once regretted it :)
Manfrotto oh you poor guy . Every one of their tripods I have had are garbage and don't last .Hope you can get a flowtech head soon . You will NEVER look back

Can't agree more. Best tripod I ever owned - even, with Manfrotto head.

Read reviews that the lock levers (you call them paddles) are made of plastic. Do they seem durable to you?
I'm a television news photographer all the stations use these sticks
Jeez What market are you in? My station I could not get to buy $30 LED lights for lighting live shots. lol
I wish they would make an adaptor plate so I can use it for photography.
Time for me to upgrade my tripod.
A very good overview, thank you

HAHAHA yup, I got a flowtech head at the end of 2020 for more tax write offs :) Hopefully I'll be able to get around to doing a review soon!
Do not fully agree - have the relatively new Nitrotech head from Manfrotto - it is awesome. But agree with the new FlowTech heads, too.
Hey did it come with the side handle or did you add that yourself?
