Hello Chandoo, I am Chaitanya, your big fan, I have been following your content for a very long time and got to learn so much from you. My question is "If we have a list in excel can we highlight that in the folder which includes those names. Just to select those files and move it to a different folder." Thanks again it would be nice if you provide some help on this.
This is great! I have one query, if I want to show the value in billions in main page chart and the actual value in tool tip by creating chart/table in another page using this tool tip option.how can I create same table with one column represents value in billions and another column represents exact value that user wants to see.is there any option to do this. Ela cheyalo idea cheppandi.
Hi Chandoo, do you have any idea about alternative career paths to technical writer. How can a technical writer make a career transition to Business Analyst. Please make a video about it.
Dear Chandoo, My name is Sam and I work for an Logistics Company. I would like to join your classes or like to get training from you on Advanced Excel and Power Bi.
You are welcome. Go to the tooltip page and click on any whitespace. Then go to "Format" pane and adjust the page size. Choose custom and you can specify any height x width you want.
Hi Chandoo, Thank you so much for sharing these valuable tips. I do have a question on Power BI editor. I receive reports from different organizations that needs to be formated in a certain way. it is a daily job. There are over 50 steps to clean that data. I wonder, if we use Power Query to clean the data, is it possible to recall the same query to perform the task everyday? right now I am using macros to clean them cut down 54 steps to 7 steps. just wondering which is the best? Thanks
You can create a "Function" in Power Query or "parameterize" the query so that it can work with any file. I teach these advanced techniques in my Power Query mini course. Do check it out here - chandoo.org/wp/mini-courses/
Hi Chandoo I’m interested in power bi play date course... but it’s showing waiting list. When will the course be available? Or are you conducting any live session courses too?
This is available for many years now. If you are using an "OLDER" version of Power BI, then you need to do this extra step too. 1) On the Page format tab 2) Set canvas size to "tooltip" 3) Set page type (should be somewhere above the canvas thing), to "tooltip"
I have a line a clustered column chart, where there are columns for each month in the current year. There are 2 columns for each month. One is for planned sales and the other is for actual sales. Is there a way for the tooltip to show one picture for planned and another for actual? Can I take it a step farther to show only planned sales for January when I hover over the January month column?
As of now, we can only have one tooltip per chart. You can use some DAX (like selectedvalue()) to see whether plan / actual is in focus, but I suggest keeping it simple.
That is awesome Chandoo!
Awesome video. I like that the video is short, simple and gets straight to the point.
More like this please.
Thanks Chandoo for this useful video! Keep more "Tips" coming on many "Tools" to help us! 😊
