  • The Darks Side Of South Korea, What They Don't Tell You
Hello everyone and welcome to a new video! today’s video is quite interesting as we’re gonna get into the dark side of South Korea! Every country has a dark side that most of the time isn't shown to the world but it's very important to not get dazzled by what we see on the outside! behind this shine lies some secrets! so without further due, let's get into it!
In many respects, South Korea is an exceedingly outstanding nation and country. In the 1950s, it had a degree of poverty comparable to that of India, but today it has a level of prosperity comparable to that of Spain or New Zealand. It is presently the 12th largest economy in the world judged by purchasing power, making it the 12th largest economy overall. Along with thriving pop culture, it is responsible for the creation of world-class corporations such as Samsung and Hyundai.
However, when one speaks with South Koreans, it quickly becomes clear that the economic miracle that the country is experiencing also has a very negative aspect to it. There are two numbers that stand out as particularly startling. The rate of suicide in South Korea is higher than any other developed nation in the world. In addition to this, it boasts the world's lowest birthrate for a developed country, with only 1.2 children being born for every woman. Because of this, the population as a whole is getting much older at an alarming rate. If South Korea is unable to change its demographics, a senior economist in Seoul warned me that the country will "implode in two generations' time."
