Well, I just got a question from other teachers that if we learn Japanese, they suggest not to watch anime?
If your purpose of learning Japanese is to understanding Japanese anime without subtitle, you can of course learn Japanese from anime. If you learn for JLPT, you won't understand Japanese anime! I recommend learn basic grammar (JLPT5) and watch anime and learn new expressions from them!
But if you learn Japanese to work in Japan, learning from anime is not a good choice !
