  • On the border of Arizona and Nevada, just a few miles south of the Hoover Dam, lies a beautiful hidden gem called Emerald Cove. We kayaked to the Emerald Cave on the Colorado River in Black Canyon. The water here is unbelievable, this is an awesome day trip from Las Vegas that we highly recommend!

    We went this summer and did the tour. So glad we did. They pointed out so much cool stuff like that walkway you spotted and how it was used by researchers who were investigating this spot for the Hoover Dam, and how the San Andreas Fault line goes right over the cave, which did in the idea fir building the dam there. So with the tour you get history, scenery, trained guides who are really fun people.

      San Andreas fault is not even near there. Fake history.

    Once you rent the kayak, how did you know where to go to find the cave? I want to do this but I'm scared I will get lost in the lake.

    • @KevinEassa
      @KevinEassa  Год назад +3

      So it's a river channel, not a lake, so you won't get lost. Also, there are hoards of people, you'll essentially all be going the same direction. And if you rent kayaks, the company will tell you where to go. If you bring your own kayak, you can head into the visitor center and they can help direct you

    Letting Bri do all the work while you "work" the camera, lol. On a family reunion in northern MN, I was in a canoe with my cousin. I did all the rowing while he "worked" by fishing. He didn't catch a thing but my anger...
