This canyon has changed so much from flash flooding over the years. Growing up in Vegas in the '60's-'70's we used to hike to all the hot springs and this one used to be much easier and hardly anyone knew it was there. No parking lot, no signs, no ropes.

Thanks man! It is a super fun hike as long as you go during mild temperatures. We are going to be back in the area in a couple weeks so stay tuned for some more good stuff 😎👍
I love this hike. If you go up the Colorado a little bit there is a little hot cave. I haven't been there for 15 years or so. First time I went was in the mid 90s. There was maybe enough parking for a half dozen cars but that was plenty. One time coming back up the canyon there was a couple in one of the pools and you could tell they were lacking clothing so we tried to give them some privacy by trying to go wide of the pool but we just ended up high on the side of the canyon with a birds eye view of the action.
We do too! I have heard of the cave, but we have never been there. Thats a funny story about the nudists. I guess if you are gonna go "sunning" at a hot springs, you have to expect someone to walk by. :D
It is such a fun hike! Stay tuned! We also hiked out to Arizona hot springs on the other side of the river. Hopefully we will have that video out soon!
Yes you can get there that way as well. A buck of purple did that last time we went. The reason we didn't stay in our water shoes is that the wash had really coarse sand in it. If that got in tight watershoes it would make for a pretty miserable hike out. Plus you need Lot of traction for the climbs 😁👍
Did this hike last weekend. I was so fun. we will be back and plan to say all day next time. we started at 8:30 and finished around 2pm the springs were a lot lower than on your video and actually you could see where the first one was but it was almost dry.
Did this yesterday. Got a rope burn on the second rope so gloves are helpful. We started around 3 and by the time we got back to the car around 7, it was dark out. Def a fun and challenging hike!
Oh no! Yea those ropes are no joke. Glad it sounds like you had a fun and safe hike other than that! It must have been interesting finishing it in the dark.
