I am a native of Nevada. First, I want to thank you for pronouncing Nevda and Ely correctly , you guy's make excellent videos. THANK YOU very much for trying to keep my Nevada beautiful. I will never understand people who are that lazy to pick up after themselves. Thanks again. Be safe in your travels.
My sweetie and I pick up illegal dump sites and litter on the highway with a local citizens group here in rural northern California, and it feels wonderful when other people show their appreciation by paying for the landfill fees or throwing us a barbecue at the park. Great job! Thanks and ❤️ to you both and Roodle!
I went to Reno on vacation in 2006, & now in 2023, I'M STILL HERE! 😂 I moved here from Chicago, so fell in love with it out here, & just never went back, started over out here, I have a kid here now, & am married, so I'm a fully converted Renoite! 😆
I always enjoy waking up on a saturday morning, a cup of coffee with your video on my big screen, I may not comment on every video but have never missed one, what an amazing spot you found to stay at
+Stingrayshark nope it was the drunk fisherman next to them in the tent. All new camping stuff out of the box… it got very windy one day and it blew everywhere. I picked it up once and left it in a pile all consolidated in an empty box 🤷♀️at least they took that with them
Another unexpected gem is Mt Charleston just an hour north of Las Vegas. Beautiful mountain community amongst a pine forest, ski lift, restaurant, hotel, park, hiking trails.
What a great place! I really appreciate all the work that you three do picking up litter. That's a great story of team work, more and more people are chipping in. Many hands make light work. Salute!
Awesome underwater view and Roodle Swimming! My Dad was a geophysical engineer who used to explore those amazing Nevada Hot Springs areas back in the 1950’s! It’s always great to find those special campground amenities ~ and Free! Wow!
Listening further ~ You are Superb Environmental Helpers! For the occasional ‘bad campers’ I was so happy during my RV years to meet others like You Two who were going ‘above and beyond’ to help keep areas cleaner and wildlife safer. 👏🏻👍🏻
You had "hit the ball out of the park" with this video! I had just "stumbled" upon your channel not knowing what to expect. As an avid camper and hiker, I very much enjoyed watching your capturing this beautiful part of our nation. It has excellent content with great detail. I commend and respect you both, a happy couple, for picking up trash in your journey and as a reminder for others to do their due diligence as a courtesy for the environment and other campers. I also do the same when in the outdoors. Thank you for pointing out how others should be respectful when running their generators. Wish there were more nice and responsible people in our world like you. It would be utopia. Excellent video with superb content. Subscribed! A+
Thank you, Peter! This location ended up being our favorite free camping for the entire year! We are excited you like our content and appreciate your kindness. 😀👍🐕🎾
I’ve lived in Nevada over 30 years and I had no idea these springs were out there. Thank you for sharing and thank you for picking up the trash of the thoughtless campers around you.
Ah the industrial generator. Typical weekends i suppose. Not much you can do. Love the spring, what a great swimming hole. I wish we went back to the old brown bags. Thanks for cleaning up the mess and nothing wrong with free beer 🍻
Thank you for introducing me to yet another secluded beautiful spot. I’d love to just follow you guys around. Why people leave their shells on the ground I’ve no idea. In all my years of hunting I’ve never done that. My Dad taught me better. Thanks again!
That water looked heavenly! So glad Roodle didn’t tangle with a real rattler! Freckles says she is finally on the mend from her near death experience and so am I, though I will never forget it! Take care and see you down the road!
So glad you both are okay! How scary was that! We keep thinking about enrolling Roodle into rattlesnake school (how to avoid them) but then neither one of us wants to take him to school 😂😂😂
Wow, what an amazing place. So beautiful. Out in no where such à beautiful campground. So peacefull....until the holiday week-end. Can't believe a generator for the whole time. We were at a spot where generators were allowed 30 min at meal time only. Thank you soooo much fir sharing all thèse beautiful spots, without you we would never have had the chance to see all thèse amazing places. Allo thanks for the trash duty...amazing. Happy trails, stay safe, regards from Ann&Emile from Québec Canada. Love you Roodle. Xx
When we saw the drone shots we thought what a great place we should visit. Then when you did the reservoir bird and underwater shots we knew we'll HAVE TO go here! We even found out our son was there in 2021. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
WOW! I don't even have a list, but that campground and spring is now ON IT! How wonderful, and what a freaking awesome campground!!! Way to be Nevada! I would have been in heaven on that reservoir with those birds and tranquility, Carrie. Dave, you are such a good guy hon. Cheers!
I was so distracted at the reservoir….I could have stayed there all day! Now I’m NOT A SNAKE FAN! But I thought this guy was kinda cute!!! From a great distance and zoom lens of course😂😂😂
Hi, loved the video Dave and Carrie. The drone footage was great and of course the still photos. I loved your trash collecting experience it makes it so worth it. I love how Roodle barks for Carrie yo take him along. Oh, and the little ducklings looked so cute paddling along furiously to stay with their mom. Thank you. Take care and have fun🤣😝😜
Wow! Another place we'd like to now visit. Love your photography, by the way. Oh, and great shot of the noisy generator. It amazes me how people come out to these places and miss some of the best stuff because they have to run a generator non-stop. They completely miss what nature has to offer.
Outside of Wendover Nevada there is a small warm lake that is used for scuba diving. Theres a platform down there, and a boat and ddirection signs. I never got to travel to dive out of the country to scuba with my late husband but we did this trip and saw shows at the casinos...it was great❤
Nice to see you still in NV! Hope you are healthy and having a blast. Thanks for continuing to give us new places to go! Hope to see you guys again on the road.
Your channel really is the best for finding great Boondocking! I’ve been living out of my Honda fit since May 2015 and travel all over the place as a single 61 year old Female and it’s channels like this that give me great new places to visit :) Keep a wonderful and very informative videos :-) :-) :-)
Thank you! We hope you get to some of these locations and have a great time. We love to hear about others going to the same spots and having it be one of their new favorites. 👍😀
This is another home run video. A great place to spend the full 14 days. I definitely will visit this place with all the toys. The drone footage and still photography is wonderful. I slacked off on finishing the van but this is great motivation. Always a thumbs up 👍
All the Drone footage is just so beautiful what you've done flying over this teal green hot spring oh my God it's so beautiful this is one of the best just for the videography
Beautiful!! Underwater videos are always a real bonus 😊. The bird song was amazing. First time seeing a yellow headed blackbird!! Thanks for that!! You need one of those big viewing scopes. Do some birding videos for us bird lovers. One of my "dreams", if I could go on the road, is to follow the spring and fall migrations on each of the major migratory flyways for a few years. What an amazing experience that would be. 😁 I puzzle over what enjoyment those weekend warriors get out of spending money on a rig, going to a great campsite, staying drunk, and making a big mess and alot of obnoxious commotion for 3 days. How much awareness or appreciation do they even have of their surroundings? I mean, just go to a bar, have a big cookout in the back yard, throw all the trash and spare socks around, then pass out and sleep it off in your own bed. To each their own. They got some fresh air and Vit D. ??? 🙄 May your roads be smooth and winds be fair!! Thanks guys!! 🥰
I do need a big viewing scope! It especially difficult in a kayak that is moving. I’m also nervous about taking my DSLR cameras kayaking with me! You pretty much nailed it on the weekend warriors!
thanks again for the recommendation! we have a place in the Eastern Sierras and hope to travel to this campground to view the annularity lunar eclipse this month.
A really great video! Love your music, drone shots & underwater shots. My husband & I are retired & love free camping in unusual places! Thanks for all the tips at the end. Can't wait to see your other videos!
Thank you! I read that 84 percent of Nevada is Federally owned….. not sure what that means🤷♀️ but 63 percent is managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Thanks for watching!
Love this part of NV. The wife and I came here to see the neowise comet a few years ago and camped for a few nights. We lucked out as the whole time we were there, it was us, the camp host, and one other rv. The springs weren’t super hot, (not great for being there in sept, but still gorgeous). Something about the remoteness of these parts of Nevada is so calming.
We have friends in Nevada and hopefully soon we’ll go visit… and now I’ve got an adventure idea while there!!! Oh and I love to see y’all cleaning up after the others! That navy guy was really great in offering to pack it out! It’s always been the rule for me to leave where you’ve been better than you left it, if reasonably possible. Oh, and the day that people leave a campground is a great day to find things like pocket knives and forgotten tent stakes.. I’m a tent camper and spare stakes are welcome! In fact nearly 25 years ago my former wife and I were out camping and someone tossed out a vertical duffel bag that I use to this day to stuff my tent, pillow, ground cloth, sleeping bag, etc… it was an amazing score!
Nevada is amazing! Dave iS ALWAYS picking up trash and yes…. He finds quite a few knives. We were VERY happy he took the trash…. We are extremely limited on space.
Another beautiful campground ⛺️ we love our west the landscape is always changing. The hot water spring is so beautiful. Jane and I will definitely make this trip here. Hopefully during the week as we don’t want to hear a generator 24/7 on the weekend. Be safe be humble. Your channel has matured into a fabulous community.
Wow this is got to be the most wonderful place to visit 🙂 I especially like to soak in a hot spring it brings healing to my bones. This is one place I am definitely going to visit. Thank you for sharing God bless you in your journey.
What a great week! The springs looked so relaxing and the drone shots were great. Thanks for giving a complete picture and showing the busy weekend as well. Can't wait to get out there.
I have just recently discovered your videos and am totally in love, L O V E with them and the way in which you record nature and all these beautiful spots, especially because you allow silence in the video, sounds of birds and nature and all of the music in your videos is totally totally enjoyable. Thank you for sharing all the info. Definitely going to explore NV some day. Happy Trails to you!
Just found your channel. I love to travel, but I don’t like doing it alone so I watch the videos and my health does prevent me from doing a lot of things I used to, but your channel is amazing, I love your aerials and you’re underwater videos, man you do such a great job with amazing music, so thank you for taking me along.
That's an awesome spring. Beautiful! Nice drone coverage. Thanks for sharing. Nevada has lots of beautiful gems hidden in the desolation of the desert. Looks like great fishing. Thanks for picking up trash! We broke down in Lund on our way to Ely and got stuck in Nevada for 3 weeks. Also check out Cave Lake in Ely, Angel Lake near Wells and Lamoille valley near Elko. All beautiful areas.
Hi .... Stumbled on your channel here and wow, this has been a place I've wanted to visit for a long time ! Now I know ! Thanks for picking up after those that are to lazy to do the right thing and to all the generator users out there, have some respect for others, please ! New subscriber so keep the videos coming !
Very nice video :-) just when I was thinking stick your GoPro down and let us see those bass underwater there it went awesome job. Your videos are uplifting and inspiring keep up the good work :-) thanks
That whole area is known as sunny side to the local area. It used to be a great place to go hunting and fishing. Sadly people have finally figured it out from word-of-mouth and social media and they bring their bad habits with them leaving trash everywhere and being very damaging to the environment. Back in the 1980s you be lucky to see 3 other people out there. Hopefully you enjoy it. One thing I learned about this kind of sharing of videos and information is that you’re just opening the door for people to learn more, but then they also destroy more. Unfortunately most people will never learn about the best place in Nevada because locals have learned to not share because of the destruction caused by people. I’m not saying don’t make videos about great places. I’m just saying the more you share about how to get there and the more you share about the information how to get it. You will soon find out the people will destroy these places. There are lots of RUclipsrs out there that understand this and they don’t share names and waypoints of places for the fact that they want to keep these places just the way they found them..
This is the exact reason I make travel videos. I watched them all when I was in the hospital for a few months. I knew I'd make videos for other when I got healthy again.
Amazing!! Great video!! Roodle is so adorable. Thanks for picking up the trash. Yes you need a bigger kayak. 😅 generator people are so inconsiderate. Grrrrr! You guys are great!!
What a cool place! The trash item that I am constantly picking up are those little flat plastic ties, that come with bread bags (and here in Canada, bags of milk 🙄).
Ordered the foraging book Dave mentioned on the Mt Hood video! So excited! Adore you both!! I have 2 acquaintances who's dogs were just bit by rattlesnakes. They are pulling thru but the puppins were in massive pain and it's all really expensive! Glad Roodle is safe!!!
Congratulations on getting the edible book! I hope you like it as much as I do. I heard it sold out! Thanks for the reminder on rattlesnake, I don't like the thought of any dog in pain, especially Roodle. I am shocked we have not seen one yet this year.
We've been planning a trip to Great Basin for a couple years and this would be a great place to stop on that trip only two hours away from the Park. Thanks a lot for the idea.
@@Nursense2024 I strongly suggest you do not go east with 110 degrees and 110 percent humidity and bugs, you do not know what bugs are. I lived in Indiana and went back and the bugs were bad, but like Georgia and sand fleas or worse no see ums that come through your bug netting or screens and bite you... Nope, I'm west now and staying here with only short forays into bug country.
oh my gosh those tiny fish look like guppies... i did see a few that look like tetras... crazy... looks like a beautiful place to see and visit... i will have to remember this one for sure... I even looked it up on the map, that is a very cool bird, and you have amazing photography and underwater video skills! Thank you for you video... stay safe ...from Deb in South Dakota
We left our spot on Twin Lakes yesterday due to loud weekenders. I understand people are trying to blow off steam, but it's kinda rude. Loved those yellow-headed birds you showed💛 Another great area! You really have a nack for finding them!👍
One of the nicer desert campgrounds! Thanks for the video, you really opened my eyes! I wont be going "around" Nevada anymore! God bless! I subbed! Looking forward to your realistic, and real videos! Love it ! More please!:)
You guys are incredible, and so is your dog... I have an Astro van and a trailer made from another Astro van and I go New Mexico and Colorado and Arizona.. I'm about to leave Texas on another trip. I will confess I've been watching your Arizona videos and I'm going to go to some of the places that you guys have recently been to. I've done the quartzite Ehrenberg thing and I have been to Saddle Mountain twice I went to Lake Havasu and camped in different spots down the Colorado River all the way to Tucson but many of the places you guys go to in your videos I didn't even know were there. At any rate your enthusiasm and your infectious smile and the fact that you care about campsites will keep me watching your videos. Stay safe and find joy.👍
Thank you! I am missing that campsite in the Dragoon Mountains next to Tombstone right now. Another great area is Ajo, Arizona. The best sunsets anywhere. We hope you get to visit them all! 👍😀
When I see videos of my old stomping grounds, like this, I get homesick for these places! I have lived in so many beautiful places, that it's impossible to choose which is best!! I live in the Cascades, in the forest in Oregon now. And Verizon is the only network provider I've ever had that worked everywhere I've been! (So far!) Actually, if Verizon won't work, there's usually nothing that will work.
I really want to point out that you checked the temperature of the hot springs!!! When I first started watching this video, I was a little frightened. I've lived near many hot springs in Nevada and several will kill instantly! I've known of instances where people let their dog jump into water that was boiling hot and instantly deathly! Then one of the owners jumped in to try to rescue the dog, and died too! So I really want to thank you for telling everyone the temperature of the water, indicating the fact that you tested it first!!!

You hit the nail on the head!!!
I agree👍
Believe me I was a camp host. It's excellent when some leave even if they wipe the outhouse walls w poop or other nasty things their gone!!!
Those time lap pictures are GOLD
I get it, some people go camping to get away from responsibilities… but it’s not others responsibilities to clean up after you, even outdoors…

It really was a great spot! Try to avoid busy holiday weekends though!!
What a neat spot? Surprised there weren’t more people there during the week too! The busy weekend made up for it though. Ugh! Those dang generators!
Can’t wait to get out there and make a clog of it as well! Safe and happy travels guys!
Just found your channel and like the mellow, down to earth vibe so I subscribed.
I guess I meant time lapse video. Thank you Carey for the peaceful video. Enjoyed Dave and Toodles hikes.
Very nice video and the still photography shot’s are just beautiful. Thank you
Thank you!!!
Wowsers just beautiful. Stunning
Welcome!!!! Thanks for coming along and thank you for your kind words.
Stunning video! Thank you!
What an absolutely fabulous place. Thanks for sharing! So interesting to have watched your video skills improve over time. Thanks again.
Hi .... Stumbled on your channel here and wow, this has been a place I've wanted to visit for a long time ! Now I know ! Thanks for picking up after those that are to lazy to do the right thing and to all the generator users out there, have some respect for others, please ! New subscriber so keep the videos coming !
What a gem you guys enjoyed! Awesome 🙌🏼
This is definitely on our list to bring our fifth wheel! Thanks for sharing!
Such a beautiful place, I love this video. Two weeks of hot creek, how awesome!
I live in Nevada and have never heard of this place. So going thanks you guys for bringing us the content
Nevada is such an under rated state!
Very nice video :-) just when I was thinking stick your GoPro down and let us see those bass underwater there it went awesome job. Your videos are uplifting and inspiring keep up the good work :-) thanks
Thank you so much! I was surprised to see so many fish under the water!!!
Luckily there are plenty of us that want to see places like this that are willing to put in work to keep the place beautiful.
Wow, what a great find folk! Saving it to my Google Maps places to visit. Happy Van Life!
And here I thought it was just washing machines that made socks disappear LOL! Good video you guys!
Right! Apparently it’s camping as well😂😂😂
Very relaxing just watching
we can’t get out right now but we can travel through you guys. thanks so much for the escape and as usual videos are top notch!!!!!!!!
Thank you guys! We need a phone call soon!
This is the exact reason I make travel videos. I watched them all when I was in the hospital for a few months. I knew I'd make videos for other when I got healthy again.
I love it that Roodle has the same haircut as Dave!
Great Video - like your all other videos, too ! 😃 Fantastic filming and composing! Love it! Cheers. 😊
Just subscribed. Inspirational video, thank you guys.
+Mark Thomas welcome! Thanks for coming along on the journey!
So cool. Thanks for sharing yet another gem!
Amazing!! Great video!! Roodle is so adorable. Thanks for picking up the trash. Yes you need a bigger kayak. 😅 generator people are so inconsiderate. Grrrrr! You guys are great!!
You guys always put together such an enjoyable video. You found another great spot!
Thank you!
Nicely done! Thinking of a winter trip nearby and knowing a hot spring or two will be crucial -- thanks.
You guys are so great and so much better than a paid performance.
Iguana Born and raised in Nevada
Great video and great Chanel u have made and a great life u got .and I love your dog too.Melissa from Australia 🇦🇺
What a cool place!
The trash item that I am constantly picking up are those little flat plastic ties, that come with bread bags (and here in Canada, bags of milk 🙄).
We don’t see those to often but lots of bottle caps
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Wow that is beautiful

I can’t stand the bugs during the sage brush bloom.. ugggh ..
Loved those yellow-headed birds you showed💛
Another great area! You really have a nack for finding them!👍
Right! Kinda ruins the tranquility! Holiday weekends are not our favorite!
@@oneadVANtureatatime ditto
That water looks amazing!😮❤
I hope this place stays pretty. I hope people don't ruin it.
We understand the homesick feeling! We have been east now for two years and are missing our stomping grounds. We will be heading back west soon!
Great! Perhaps I'll see you up here in the Oakridge Oregon area!
Unbelievably gorgeous!!
Interesting spot to explore.😁 Thank you for sharing the birding information.😀 I loved seeing the birds that flock there.👍
