Thanks for the rundown! Would love to know your process for lighting during reception.
I’m not going to lie, I love your vibe and humor!!
I don't shoot weddings but I feel equipped to give it a try. Fx3, a6600 and skydio2 drone. Maybe I should give I've wedding a go
Great money. I recommend shooting your first one free or heavily discounted. Also check on fb to be a second shooter for someone experienced. There’s a lot to it and it’s a super long day
Man, your humor is on point, love it! I know there's no love for Nikon anywhere, and I love being a person that speaks up for 'em, because they have and are doing some things for cinematographers that make them a competitor. I won't use this to go into detail, but trust me, Nikon is COMING!
Informative yet entertaining. I like this guy.
Thank you for this!
What’s the name of the gimbal please?
Got the FX30 as my C-cam and figured out pretty quick that it’s even useable as an A-cam for weddings 👌
I can only afford a C-cam so im glad to hear that. Does it perform proper in low light performance? cause i havnt seen any actual footage :)
Great video can you do real estate next !! im curious the lenses you would suggest please and thank you!!
Can’t wait for the new content for the new channel just subscribed and great video 🙏🏾
Thank you my friend
Buddy, you're back! And you're STILL the KING! Ya F@ckin' Gangsta! How's the lady?
Haha what’s up man she’s good!
@@TheEverythingMan FOR REAL QUESTION: Could I ever in a million years be a Wedding Videographer using the Canon R7? Hooking up with a Wedding Photographer? If I had great glass? Ya know, Apsc and all. ..
nice work bro ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Im thinking of switching to Panasonic S5 II very soon
Thanks for the video, and thanks for sharing the footage. Beautiful images!
Some random thoughts as I was watching through:
-- Love how small and compact your whole setup is, especially including the cameras. The drone as well -- very portable.
-- Thanks for tip re drone controller cover! Didn't know about that.
-- "Maybe the DJ will let you plug in if he isn't a douche." That's a big maybe....
-- Brilliant recommendation on the Zoom F3 (or F6). Not just because people speak at different volumes, but because music levels vs speech levels.
-- Knife -- what the hell are you cutting? And you use it every wedding?!?! I've occasionally had brides ask me for a pair of scissors to cut off some loose threads. And sometimes groomsmen have new suit jackets where you're meant to cut the "tacking stitch" at the back. But these happen very rarely.... (Edit: just yesterday I was at a wedding where I needed scissors, and didn't have one in my gear bag, though I had one in my car. So, I should have taken your advice. Reason for needing them: men's suits often come with the pockets loosely stitched to hold their shape; you're meant to cut the threads. I wanted to stick my new Sony TX660 recorder in the groom's front jacket pocket, but was thread-blocked. Maybe guys that have been using the Sony recorder for years have often faced this problem!)
-- Bag recommendations. One thing I'm iffy on with bags is when they have lots of compartments. I think it's easy either to forget what you have, or forget where you've put it.
-- I'm surprised and impressed you use ND filters. I used to use them, but then ran into annoying issues. Like, sometimes moisture collects between filter and lens. Or once I fumbled and smashed an expensive variable ND. In the end, I figured that the main time when I need an ND is outside, and that's usually only during the photoshoot (for the weddings I shoot anyway), so I can live with higher shutter for just that part of the day, and maybe it even adds to a sort of excited post-ceremony mood.
-- DJI Wireless for audio.... Never used that type, but I've tried Rode Wireless Go, and I think they're crap, and I strongly suspect (sorry!) that the DJI ones are crap as well. There were lots of funny issues that cropped up for the Rode mics. Like: they operated on the 2.4GHz band, which can be crowded, so you either get interference or reduced distance. They were very sensitive to being overloaded; the mics didn't have a big dynamic range. And they could be thrown by being concealed behind an altar table, for instance -- they want line of sight. But I can see how having this style of audio device fits in with what I'm assuming is your whole compact-and-portable ethos.
You took all that thought to write this and the ahole didn’t even acknowledge you. What a douche!
Good stuff! Great video as always!
love my air2s and f3
Do you need license for Drone if you make videos for business
Great video mate! Can you please do something about the hair cut, no offence. Cheers
Happy NY and LNY Anthony!
Man, didn’t know 50% get divorced. Makes sense as I see so many weddings.
My buddy got married 2 times but I missed his second only as I’m expecting to go to his 3rd one. I think he only had the grooms side come! 😂
I have most of your gear but not the opportunity yet to go do a wedding gig. Still have my day job and happy with it but love shooting (both stills and videos)
Thanks for another good video!
The upside is it keeps wedding videographers employed.
U look sharp in the thumbnail 😮
‘sup?. that's superb dji~ talk to you soon,
Hey! thanks for the video! Do you always go handheld with the FX3? if so, do you ever use the Stabilisation modes (standard, active) when filming a wedding?
I mix it up , gimbal and handheld.. if handheld I always use active .. never handhold in 120p
@@TheEverythingMan Thanks a lot, this helps me out a lot mate!
@@TheEverythingMan thanks for letting me know, how come you don’t do handheld 120? Is the crop to much maybe?
No link to your new channel in the description, even though you mention it being in the description (I had to reload this video and scroll to the end screen to find a link to your other channel). By the way... this is a helpful suggestion, not a complaint.
It's a pity that the new ZV-E1 is unusable for weddings because of the overheating...
True Classic tees!
During a first dance. What distance do you recommend the videographer be when recording?
Dope channel.
Depends on focal length and each venue size is different. But don’t be afraid to get in the mix that’s what you’re being paid for
@@TheEverythingMan good point. But I don’t want to be in the way of the photographer.
@mrmeza78 stick by the photographers side
Good info, mate 👍
how many of this wireless mic do you use??? for example during the speeches.... I need to upgrade my microphones .... do they cause interference in case you use 4 (2 sets) thanks
i'm just amazed people still get married.
Great tips
How much SD card do i need for a full day?
Sony FX3 or A7SIII and why???
At 11:20, what do you do with those tube lights at a wedding?
They’re great for pointing towards the dancefloor or on the couple when it’s time for the toasts .. you can throw them on a little stand or magnetize them to something metal
@@TheEverythingMan how do you point them to the dance floor? Both of my hands are on my camera. I wouldn’t put them on a stand, there’s too many people walking around and it’s a liability. If Iever set a stand up it’s only going to be up against the wall. I’ve yet to do that at a wedding in the last 29 years. I always have a light on my camera and it works. By the time I set up a light, I’ve missed the shot and I’m off shooting reactions then back to the couple. No time for extra lights and stands. Thanks 🙏🏼
any reason ur not using fx6 with fx3 for bcam so u can have easier editing job?
Not really a fan of the fx6 besides the built in NDs .. rather have an fx3 tbh
@@TheEverythingManfair enough, was thinking it was a size thing. ive never shot a wedding but ive seen the odd guy at a wedding with huge distracting setups and it feels like theyre flexing on the guests lol
@@zacki5663 yeah that too. I shoot long ass weddings and I would never want to lug that thing around all day. Makes no sense imo. Same ending image out of the fx3 but 10xs smaller and lighter
Great Video thanks. If you ever change careers you should do Comedy, you’re naturally a seriously funny guy! I could see you on AGT killing it :-)
Ugh, why everyone is suggesting gear for wedding videos? Is that all , that we are supposed to shoot?? 😭😭😭
Nope, this video is for people that want to shoot weddings
hahahahahahhahaha!
