My dad was the pilot that flew him home and that is something that he will never forget. My heart bleeds for the surviving relatives. 💔😢 🇺🇸 Rest well sir
Had cousin come back MIA to KIA Army soldier. Korean war. His Marine brother passed but had given blood. So he was found. Ed Morrison of Ashland Wisconsin. Welcome home Pvt Rambo. Glad you made it home. Semper Fi Marine. Condolences to the family.
Patrick, as a British veteran I am unaccustomed to US rituals, therefore forgive my question I do not mean it to be in any way disrespectful. Can you please explain why in this coverage, and the coverage I watched of a B/Gen USMC , 85% of the film was of either the sky or the trees?. In the UK we follow the fallen. Please forgive my question if this is offensive in any way. Sgt (ret) WRMP. Welcome home to Pte Rambo. THANK YOU and the THOUSANDS of others for YOUR SERVICE. RIP.
Did Not realize there was than much Sky in this video. The remains came more than half way around the world after being finally identified. The family was able to greet their loved one at the airport with honors. Water Cannons, Honor Guard, Etc. Hope this answer helps? V/R
@@PatrickJHughes oh please don’t think I was being disrespectful. I have only discovered your site today and as a very proud veteran I had to watch a couple of your recordings out of respect. I just wish life in civi st was as caring and respectful as my time in the military. Thank you once again for your films. A friend of mine was a member of the team that did DNA recovery a few years back and her joy when they found a match was contagious. Let’s pray that before to long many more of our brave men and women can be returned to their family and at last their headstones can say their names rather than “ unknown soldier only known unto God”. Once again thank you Patrick,I look forward to watching more from you.

I have never understood this hero thing since childhood... If a soldier gets killed then he is recognized as a hero....Soldiers get killed because they were not good and the enemy was smarter...but on the other hand if a soldier decides to give up his own life to save others then YES he is a HERO... forever.... ( got it)... I always had problems with HERO declarations..It is like driving a firetruck and rolling off of a cliff becasue the driver was stupid enough not to be carful or drive slower but his coutnry declared him as a hero....
a soldier is a hero for two reasons. one. he joins an army. all armies are created to fight and die in war. 2. he is put in harm's way, whether he is killed or not. it's easy to understand, man. when you decide to join an army, you've already taken your first step to die in battle. and that makes you a hero.
