Great stuff.. Really enjoyed the video. Really gives me some ideas for some of the other songs I'm working on where there are not any keys in the song but I'm adding keys. Thank you! :)
Love your teaching. did you ever hear the intro to flight 505 by the Rolling Stone on the Aftermath album . A gentleman by the name of Nicky Hopkins plays the intro on piano, has a Boogie Woogie feeling. Do you teach that type of playing? Thanks.
Excellent, Marine!! Another trick I've used in relation to your excellent idea about adding the 9 to the right hand is, to play the 3 in the bass as a single note in stead of repeating the root. So in C, the right hand chord is C,D,G and the left hand is a single E note an octave lower. I suggest this only as an occasional substitute to your idea. It doesn't conflict with the bass player but it needs to be cleared by him or her because it could conflict with the feel. I got this idea from another excellent piano player. His name is David Foster🎹.
Thank you
You're welcome ☺️
