Is there any chance of reducing the number of years for 10 year ILR route...at this time 10 years are too much for people to get ILR...is government planning to reduce it?
Australia is a good option to live and to get PR
how is the process
I have enquiries in regards to someone that is married to a British partner whilst on a 10 years partner route. Can they switch to ILR after renewing say twice of their status? Thanks
This is unfair! One of my best friends could have applied for dependent visa rather than a short-term study visa if she had knew this policy change about 5 years ago. Now she has to apply for her 3rd master degree only because she needs one more year to get ILR. Why doesn’t she just find a job and get a tier 2 visa? The reality is many job opportunities are only for those who don’t need a certificate of sponsorship from their employers.
this is unfair to refuse that who been 10 year before 12 April 2023 they should give ILR that person who been completed 10 year before 12 April 2023.
I am completing 10yrs after 17th Sep 2023, I can not apply for the indefinite visa.😢

Do anyone know how long can I stay outside the UK I I am on 10 years route
Sorry, it is not clear to me what the new rules are regarding the ILR after 10 years of staying in the UK, say as a student, or initially as a student, then working with a work permit.
Means if you have been here continuously for 10 years for indefinite stay...Areyou cleared now?
Thanks, that is my understanding too in the past, but not sure what the new changes described in this video are.
Has the ILR entitlement after 10 years of stay stopped?
All I hear is that for those already submitted their ILR applications after 10 years of stay will not be affected.
@@abbeycityabbey9278 sorry to say only tier 2 is considered for the old study and psw is not counted as the period of stay for ilr
@@brockhit3that’s for the 5 year skilled worker visa route not the 10 years of continued stay route
@@odera8289is it true, because i am currently pass two year Master and go another 2 year in PSW. Then i am looking for PHD is that make any sense to stay for 10 year in ILR category?
Hi plz Answer, I am on the 10 year route under my fathers dependent. I have lived in the Uk for more than half my life, and also had 5 years continuous visa and fall under the 18 - 24 year age gap. Can I still apply for ILR if my dependent (father) is on the 10 year route?

is the government aware of rate at which skilled workers are turned down simply because most companies are not ready to sponsor. lots of the companies are not ready to sponsor - (maybe the requirements from government needs to be relaxed a bit) and yet you see a lot of vacancies out there. i feel its also a huge advantage for the uk this time because even though a lot of students ( with years of experience from different field) came in through student visa but many of this students have rich skills acquired along that career journey. its not like they opened the UK gates for illiterates. Coming for masters is part of the career development for the students and the joy that comes after accomplishing that is when you get a good job with no pressure of you thinking about visa... these helps you settle down well physically, emotionally, financially. Lot of skilled foreigners are out there, stranded in the middle, depressed, because they are looking for job and the same time worrying about immigration. These skilled guys are ready to work, this covers the shortages of workers and UK will be happy and we all enjoy it together. Simple.
I have been living in UK for last 25 years and I had to fight to get my rights to stay permit for all this years, finally last year I got my 30 months visa which I have to extend 4 times to get my ILR which will take another 10 years, last month I went back home and got married, now I can't bring my wife in UK because I am not eligible as I don't have ILR.
Can't go to see my wife often as I can't afford to pay £1200 for the flight even though if I can afford can't stay long time outside the UK if I do this I will not get my ILR after 10 years for discontinued living in UK.
Can't decide what to do should I save money for visa extension or flights or I should not be travelling to see my wife and stay here in UK for 10 years more and bring my wife after 10 years when I will be 50 year old man by that time, when can I start making my family in here UK ? I am a 39 year old man now 😢😢😢😢😢
10 years is too short, there is still doubt about his love for the country, I think the minimum should be 75 years to be eligible to become a citizen. Please review it again, my lord🎉🎉
why innovator and innovator founder visa is same ?

UK Visa and Immigration Updates
UK is diluting its identity, its culture, its uniqueness.
Surely, the pre- Brexit days were better than the post Brexit days for the uk. It should re- enter the EU and safeguard the continental culture for a safer future.
How can you say that when opening the doors to the other 27 European countries ended in millions of diverse ethnic Europeans flooding the UK and Ireland devastating our NHS and pushing up the price of houses and cost of living?
So this means the previous 5 yrs rule for ILR is null and void for people with all kinds of visas particularly on Tier 2 to wait for 10 yrs now??
I wanna know this too because that would really suck
No. ILR is depend on the categories of visa. Tier 2- skilled worker or spouse visa 5 years. 10 years is for those who have been in UK on any legal visa such as student or others as long as they are legal immigrants
@@AD-lw8jc much appreciated!
Not sure how much legit this is
Hi I’m in 10 years family route i have been uk for 10 continues years so which application I need to apply long resident or some thing else plz can you help me…
Great news! It sounds like you're eligible to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) based on your 10 years in the UK on the family route. You won't need to apply for long residence; the 10 year route leads directly to ILR.
We recommend checking the UK Visas and Immigration website for the specific application process www.gov.uk/long-residence. Stay subscribed for further updates on the ILR process!
Please must change 5 years its ok 10 year very long time.
How does this affect people on tier 2 visa

My friend.. ure very naive if you think he's making the calls in this, he's just the perfect Face to point finger at.
Hi I’m living in the uk since 2009
My visa was expired in 08/3/14 but before to expire I was married with my EU partner . Home office did not except our relationship. I applied several time eu Ida but every time I was refused. Now still I have application in home office ( eu settlement status)
I don’t know what I can do
Can anyone help
How I can get any kind of uk visa
Thanks
Hey , if you've got all the documents required to receive your settlement and the marriage was registered before your visa expired and again your initial visa allows you to marry. The best option is to take them to court. I've got a solid lawyer who has won multiple cases like this.
Your case is for the court, take a good lawyer and earn your hardships

How i can apply for my father holding somali passport and legally in Kuwait while i am working now and a citizen of uk best Regards
If your father requires support from you it's much easier, you can apply for a family dependent visa , it's quite expensive and you'll have to prove your relationship. I'll advise you add a DNA test to give more prove to home office
