Is there any chance of reducing the number of years for 10 year ILR route...at this time 10 years are too much for people to get ILR...is government planning to reduce it?

This is unfair! One of my best friends could have applied for dependent visa rather than a short-term study visa if she had knew this policy change about 5 years ago. Now she has to apply for her 3rd master degree only because she needs one more year to get ILR. Why doesn’t she just find a job and get a tier 2 visa? The reality is many job opportunities are only for those who don’t need a certificate of sponsorship from their employers.

this is unfair to refuse that who been 10 year before 12 April 2023 they should give ILR that person who been completed 10 year before 12 April 2023.

is the government aware of rate at which skilled workers are turned down simply because most companies are not ready to sponsor. lots of the companies are not ready to sponsor - (maybe the requirements from government needs to be relaxed a bit) and yet you see a lot of vacancies out there. i feel its also a huge advantage for the uk this time because even though a lot of students ( with years of experience from different field) came in through student visa but many of this students have rich skills acquired along that career journey. its not like they opened the UK gates for illiterates. Coming for masters is part of the career development for the students and the joy that comes after accomplishing that is when you get a good job with no pressure of you thinking about visa... these helps you settle down well physically, emotionally, financially. Lot of skilled foreigners are out there, stranded in the middle, depressed, because they are looking for job and the same time worrying about immigration. These skilled guys are ready to work, this covers the shortages of workers and UK will be happy and we all enjoy it together. Simple.

I have been living in UK for last 25 years and I had to fight to get my rights to stay permit for all this years, finally last year I got my 30 months visa which I have to extend 4 times to get my ILR which will take another 10 years, last month I went back home and got married, now I can't bring my wife in UK because I am not eligible as I don't have ILR.
Can't go to see my wife often as I can't afford to pay £1200 for the flight even though if I can afford can't stay long time outside the UK if I do this I will not get my ILR after 10 years for discontinued living in UK.
Can't decide what to do should I save money for visa extension or flights or I should not be travelling to see my wife and stay here in UK for 10 years more and bring my wife after 10 years when I will be 50 year old man by that time, when can I start making my family in here UK ? I am a 39 year old man now 😢😢😢😢😢

Great news! It sounds like you're eligible to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) based on your 10 years in the UK on the family route. You won't need to apply for long residence; the 10 year route leads directly to ILR.
We recommend checking the UK Visas and Immigration website for the specific application process www.gov.uk/long-residence. Stay subscribed for further updates on the ILR process!
