Shame Monty never got redeemed when people loved his character, yet the show kept trying to redeem Elmyra when everybody wanted her to disappear.

I’ll admit, I really love these Character Quest videos. Not only are they interesting, but they’re also very educational. Keep up the good work, Trevor!

I’ve recently watched through TTA, and I’ll admit, while Max has a compelling backstory, I’m fine with him staying a villain. It’s good that Buster has an adversary that embodies some of the more obnoxious traits of the upper class western world, and which he can punch up to. I’m happy they gave Max some more sympathetic moments later on, partly written because his VA Danny Cooksey got tired of always playing a bad guy, but I feel like some social commentary would be lost if any future iteration tried to fully redeem him.

If I had a nickel for every time a rich kid didn’t get redeemed by the creators, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.

I always love how much energy Danny Cooksey poured into the character - he was the youngest member of the cast, but he was already a pro who could hold his own with the likes of Adler, Macneille and Paulsen.

Freakazoid! Was unironically one of my favorite cartoons growing up. I am in my mid 30s now and I've been quoting it every day. The network did them dirty.

Would you believe that those two episodes where Monty is star actually came at the request of his voice actor? He was really tired of Monty not having any starring roles and wanted him to stop being bad all the time. If all voice actors did something like this, then the world would be a better place.

Enjoy the OG Version while ya still can't, because the reboot version of him really changed him for the worst.

  • @McQueenStan

I remember LOVING this character and was obsessed with him. Idk why.. but he’s still funny and one of the best villains.

  • @I_WANT_MY_SLAW

Money only amplifies a person, doesn't change them. If you were a good person before you had money, you will be an even better person with money. If you were a horrible person before money, you will be an even more horrible person with money. Most rich people were born with money, so a lot of them have always been horrible people.

Did you know the voice of Montana Max Danny Cooksey is actually a musician been singing country music since he was a kid

  • @itsjayden8002

Not a video I expected, but still one that I enjoyed nonetheless.

  • @Nonjola

As A kid, I never noticed, that Montana Max and even Elmyra were supposed to counterparts to Yosemite Sam and Elmer Fudd.

  • @FlyingDuckMan360

The reason for Montana Max being less effective as a villain as time went on, even being the protagonist of two shorts, is because his voice actor, Danny Cooksey, who was fourteen years old when the show began, complained about always having to play the bad guy.

  • @CharcoalRabbit

I thought Monty was bad! Like really bad! So bad, I literally considered him one of if not the worst fictional characters of all time! Elmyra also sucked, but I will give her this. She doesn’t know she’s causing harm to them.

  • @lydiajulianprower8356

As someone who only watched the first series years ago, I definitely remember Max and Buster being friends at first.

  • @nathanspradlin8570

I remember watching TTA as a kid and "Prom-miss her Anything" and even thinking back then Elmira and Max was a weird pairing and didn't think they fit as a couple. If you're taking a break from Moral Oral, I would like Character Quest episodes about Dizzy, Hamton and Fifi because those are some of my favorite characters from Tiny Toon Adventures (excluding Buster and Babs obviously).

  • @user-ls2ve8ib3d

He sounds a lot like ramon Salazar in the sense that he too was an antagonist in both re4 & its remake. Both characters are high in power & very lonely, which made them very bitter.

I Loved Tiny Toons Since The 1990's Yes I'm a old man reaching Middle Age

  • @TheMightyPika

I love that even though Max is rich he still looks like a hobo kid. They could have designed him to have a fancy haircut and tailored clothes, but his hair is a mess and he wears oversized gray clothes like they're second-hand. I would never guess that he's rich from looking at him, which adds a lot to how he probably feels about himself deep down.
