you missed a cutscene on the basement. you just showed 1 of 2. so basically if you place a mouse trap and go upstairs you get a completely different cutscene (its seen on the dreamcast version wait menu)

Stupid Invaders was released on PC and Dreamcast way back when. Unfortunately it was never released on Steam or GOG and currently the only (legal) way to play it is to track down a physical release of the game.
