    I'm not sure, but I think that taste improves a little if you store the beans a little after toasting them, this is because if you give them the time, the humidity and the CO^2 stabilizes inside the bean making a homogeneous mixture when ground. This is what I've been told in an old Italian roasting.

    Let the coffee sit around 7 days minimum in an airtight container. Get a cheap second hand espresso machine. Can be had for around the same as a new moka. Don't let the milk go above 140 deg Farenheit. You burn the lactose sugar after that.

    Nice video! Try to wait 5/7 days after roast the green coffee, or it have too much CO2 and it taste "sparkling". You roast dark, so, in order to not overroast the coffee powder, try to use already boiling water in the moka.

    • @kevinm5564
      @kevinm5564 3 года назад +1

      @@Jadizi it really is different. The drip maker lacks pressure and tends to focus on the grounds in the center of the basket so its not as complete an extraction. To me its like making marinara sauce. You can make a fine sauce with just crushed tomatoes for the base, but adding some tomato paste gives it a deeper more intense flavor. If used the same coffee and made you a cup in a drip maker then made an Americano, you would definitely taste a difference.

    • @Angie2Pink
      @Angie2Pink 3 года назад +1

      Well in some parts of Italy coffee is quite roasted, especially in Neaples. It is indeed black. I have to say the rest of the world does enjoy a much lighter taste (that we consider too bland and watered down). We usually froth milk that is fridge temperature, but it does get very hot during frothing, not boiling though. I guess he is trying to achieve the real Cappuccino taste, which is our Italian way as we invented it! Maybe the milk part needs some work

      I've read in Reddit about people who roast their own coffee, and with those freshly roasted beans, brew some coffee and drink it.
      It sounded like that was perfectly fine, but then I also read about coffee with unpleasant flavors when the beans are not degassed.
      So, not sure what to think.
      Coffee companies sell you coffee beans that are already degassed, so I guess it's not up to me to say if freshly roasted coffee tastes good, because I'm not interested in trying that; and only people who have tried it out will tell you if it's good or not.
      For me it doesn't make sense, though.
      I'm just waiting for the fourth wave of coffee that's emerging in Asia.
      We're talking about beans fermented with pineapple and some other interesting stuff...

    You should have your milk at max 65-70 degrees, and in french press use just a few short stroaks. Then you'll get nice microfoam. If you put 2dcl of milk the most you want is 2.5-3dl of microfoam. Not 6dcl of foam from 2dcl of milk
