Hey thanks for the tutorial ! I have a question mine French press is 350ml I use around 150-160ml ratio around 3:60 after trying to get milk temp around 60 degrees is 110 pump necessary?
Nothing is necessary! You will find your own golden recipe like I did in the video. The video is to guide you as a baseine. Please feel free to tweak to your own style. 🌞💙
Steps 1. Heat milk to 60degrees Celsius 3:48 2. Transfer to french press 3. Pump big 3x 4:04 4. Pump 10x for 11sets and within every 3sets swirl 4:35 Thanks for the video!! Definitely will try this out!
This changed my life. I have been using french press to foam my milk but it’s never the right silky texture. The result surprised me so much just by changing the pumping and whirling! Thank you so much✨✨💕💕💕

Hi Andrés, I was in the situation because I could not find well explained videos anywhere. So, I decided to make it myself! Thank you so much and Hope to see you around as I plan to make similarly helpful videos down the road 🌞
I just tried your technique and it works!!! Though I still cannot make any latte art yet, the foam is creamy and delicious! Be able to make a capuccino cup for myself especially during lockdown is incredible! Thank you!
This works SOOO perfectly. I've tried different alternative ways of frothing milk for microfoam and none of them worked as well as this one. Thank you so much!!!
I got a French press because I wanted to create a coffee ritual with mindfulness...this definitely will add something to my routine! Thank you for a well-done instructional video.
I was having trouble getting consistent results until I bought a thermometer! I highly recommend bying a digital one so you can see exactly how hot the milk is! The key for me was when I found out I was not heating the milk enough! I would suggest that you aim for 65 to 70 degrees cuz the temperature goes down when you transfer the milk to the french press and then the pitcher! I heat my milk in a small pan! If you are heating it in the microwave like the video then maybe you can get away with not heating the milk as much! But this video was my key to success! SO thank you once again!
I've been trying this method for 3 months. I would say to keep it consistent, stick with a milk brand that you've tried which works. Some brands work and some don't work like Nestlé full cream milk doesn't work for me. So a good tip is to find a good milk brand which works with this foaming method and stick with it. Devondale and SoNatural worked well for me.
Hi Vlad 🌞💙 Thank you for leaving the comment. I haven't tried it with Almond milk and it's great news for alternative milk lovers 👍 I will try to upload helpful contents so hope you stay tuned 💙

While this can work with any French press, I’ve created the best micro-foam with ones that have great filters. I’m getting a press with a four-stage mesh filtration system, so we’ll see how that changes the texture. 🙂 Thank you again for this incredible tutorial.

Thank you for the Happy comment 🌞🙏🙏 The reason why people use milk pitchers is that it is a tool to mix the steamed or frothed milk well with the coffee base. I'm sure I can mix even with French Press (The key is not breaking the crema unless drawing for latteart). Hope it helped and hope to see you around 💙👍
Is it dependent on the fat content of the milk? What fat% milk are you using btw, I have been experimenting for a month now and I get too much foam if I do the little pumps more than 30-40 times and not enough foam until I do big pumps 5-7 times. I noticed this amount differed based on low vs high fat milk. I will give your method a shot today and report back, great tutorial btw! Update: Tried it exactly like this, and it works! Wow, exactly what I was looking for. A method that offers consistency. Have you tried this with non-dairy milk? I use oat milk (usually Oatly or Minor Figures); do you think this system would need any tweaking? Maybe 4 initial pumps instead of 3?
Quick update for anyone who takes their coffee with oat milk: this technique works incredibly well, but I found that a) it works best with 4 initial pumps (the ones used to introduce air) and b) starting with the right temp is key (not too hot, not too cold). 🙌💗

Hi, Great Video!! But whenever I tried how many time, I am not sure about the pumping and snowing portion, like how to control the amount of foam to its perfection. Sometimes I got to many foam and sometimes I got too less foam. Btw I havent use any frothing machine before so I am not sure what is the final result for the milk should be which guarantees its can form some patterns. Thank you~

Can we do it without the pitcher?
Also does the temperature matter for a smooth frothed milk texture? Or is it just for the sweetness part?
I have exactly the same. And will try it later. Ty
To get consistent results I think it should be mentioned what french press size are you using and the amount and type of milk you poured the first time into
That’s crazy! Good job, thanks for the tutorial. Will try it tomorrow!
Sorry for the late reply! Hope you had a great results 😉❣
