Easy to install, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxjA-hDN2m8_mi0Dg0JD8U6QiArozIAc4I and comfortable. No idea what other people were talking about when they said it was difficult to install or uncomfortable.
Excellent tips! Good "extras" the lay person may not have aforethought about :) ty! What's the actual mechanism that makes it slow down? I'm used to hydraulic setups for your typical screen door but this is much smaller.
Hey, well it's been a while since you uploaded this, but guess what .... I did it .... I was totally lost with the 'Instructions' more like 'Distructions' 😄 .... anyway, Thank you for speaking in plain English, mine wasn't exactly the same as yours & that bit lost me for half a second, the square washer type thing that moves inside the main body of the hinge isn't attached, I had to slot mine into the hinge, but I wasn't sure if I was doing it right, because the whole thing kept falling apart when I turned it upside down to fit it to the pan, but I figured it out in the end & I only got 1 key & I'd accidentally fitted the bolt into it & I couldn't get it out, but once I started tightening the whole thing, the key just came away & I was able to put it onto the left side & tighten that one too. I wasn't sure how tight it was supposed to be, but I've got arthritis in both wrists & tightened it to the point where it started to hurt my fingers, so I'll just get hubby to check them out once he gets up for work in half an hour, but its my bedtime now, pretty proud of myself for doing that all on my todd. I might just be tempted to do other DIY, should the need arise!! Thanks again. Kindest Regards x
The fitting of this was easy. I have a problem though, the lid is fine but the seat part won’t lift. Comes about 2 inches up and then stops, I’ve actually damaged it upon lifting it the first time ggggggggrrrrrrrrrr!!! Any advice?
I've installed this toilet seat and had it for 2 months now. The lid still closes softly but the seat has started to slam. Has this started happening to yours and is there a way to fix it?
HELLO DARREN.. I HAVE A BEMIS QUIET CLOSE SEAT/COVER THAT IS NOW STICKING! I HAVE TRIED SOAKING IT IN DISHWASHING LIQUID FOR 30 MINUTES AS SUGGEST BUT IT STILL DIDN'T WORK.. STILL STICKING! CAN I TAKE THIS APART AND SOMEHOW CLEAN WHATEVER IS INSIDE TO ALLEVIATE THE STICKING? THANKS VIC
Hi Vic Im not sure about that seat but on most seat if you took the hinge apart you may not get it back together. I would look for someone selling spare parts and replace the hinge if the seat is still good. We have a range of softclose seats you can view here www.bathroomtrade.co.uk/soft-close-toilet-seats.html if you need a complete new soft close toilet seat. If you need further help please feel free to call the team on 0800 043 0207
Thank you so much for your easy to follow instructions, I wouldnt have been able to fit this without your guide
