I love the pairing of Laura and Callyann together. Two totally different energy's that balance each other out so nicely. They both seem so sweet. Love all of the Tryers.
I love these TRY videos where alcoholic drinks are pitted against each other, and the TRY panel chooses from two options. Either X or O.... and especially love Dermot's reactions to these drinks!!!
Saying, "What's the craic?", is more Irish, to me. Calling alcohol things like, the water of life, the elixir of life or nectar of the gods, is common everywhere around the world.
The lot of you should come to Louisville, KY and do the bourbon trail. Louisville has a large Irish population so you'd all feel welcome for sure. There are also lots of good Irish pubs and restaurants for you to try as well as you could visit the KFC headquarters, see where baseball bats are made at the Louisville Slugger museum, and all kinds of other stuff like ride a riverboat or see the Kentucky Derby museum.
Not in KY, however there is a river boat across the river on the Indiana side that you can indeed gamble on. It just doesn't cruise up and down the river.
Dermot saying of the second drink, the Canadian whiskey, "It's ah, it's ah, it's ah, it's more "uisce" than "beatha". That was so quick and brilliant. "More water than life" Hahaha I love it when the Try channel interjects a bit of Gaeilge into conversations and sampling. Slán!
I realized how long I've been religiously watching this channel when Callyann said how she'd "been on this Try channel for some time now..." I thought to myself "but you're one of the new ones!" and then I thought about it for a second and realized exactly how long her and Laura have been on the channel. Then I felt old. Great video, really enjoyed it!

I am so damn proud of Laura for becoming a Whiskey lover. I was glad to see her empty her shot glass on most of the brands, while Callyann barely took a mouthful.
As someone who claims to have a pretty good pallate, if you guys think you can pick out a specific whiskey after three shots, each being months to years apart, and always tasting like 8+ whiskeys that day, then you should all become professional chefs, because pallate like that are a treasure you've been given. Most people struggle to tell the difference between pepsi and coke.

Hats off to the TRY team, some of the recent alcohol vids have been real "bangers" (that's the word that the cool kids use nowadays, right?). The tryer line-up and the drinks they try have been pretty great.
Canadian whiskey is blended which is probably why it seems easier to drink. AND I'm hardcore american bourbon drinker. Try High West distillery from Park City, Utah.

You guys need to come to Kentucky and follow the Bourbon trail. It's a long tortuous journey and I'll happily sacrifice my time and probably my health to accompany you and show you where I grew up, close to the origination of the spirit, and now live among the best bourbons distillers on Earth... For the sake of journalism and posterity of course 😅
We just did that this summer. It was pretty fun, but it's where I really found out I can't do straight hard liquor anymore after really only having beer the last several years. It's immediate torturous heartburn. It's not a southern hug, but a southern strangling! However, make it a cocktail with ginger ale, I'm all over it! It still allows me to taste the nuances of different bourbons/whiskeys but still be very drinkable and enjoyable. The best thing is that I can enjoy a Jameson ginger, just the same as a nice Buffalo Trace or Woodford Reserve. Maybe not EH Taylor, probably too expensive to mix.
Being a guy who was never a fan of beers (Guinness notwithstanding) when I was in my teens (when the drinking age was still 18 in the States) I was drinking and getting sick on cheap crap whiskies like JD, Southern Comfort and Yukon Jack and went many years until my 40s before trying a whiskey again without just getting sick from the smell of it. What got me back on the whiskey train was when an Indian mate gave me a bottle of Indian whiskey for my birthday #40. Now I’m just past #60 and enjoy whiskey from many countries 😂 But I owe my reawakening to the whiskey of India 🇮🇳
While I'd have loved to see their reactions to a Michters, Jefferson's Reserve, Old Forester 1910, and several others, it was good to see Eagle Rare up there!

Another great Try video. 12:09 My local liquor store has a tasting room in the back where they host tasting sessions for all categories of products they sell. Its the best way to experience and enjoy at the same time, and I'm sure the store profits far more than the sign-up fee.

You hear?
Honestly, you're not wrong. Everytime I look for less expensive whiskey at the LCBO and grab some Canadian whisky I'm usually sad after. Granted, I would never buy Canadian club cuz it's f***ing awful!
I love this channel, it never disappoints.
As an American whiskey drinker, I'll be the first to say our bourbons suck ass.
Respectfully disagree strongly. It just may not be to your taste.
@@theukyankeeJack Daniels and Jim Beam are more akin to drain cleaners than beverages.
You should broaden your experience.
@@slayerrocks2I'm in my 7th decade of life.
Don't tell me or anyone what to do.
RUclips will ban you.
@AndrewBlacker-wr2ve should is a suggestion, not an instruction.
Somebody your age should know that.
You guys have come so far on your whiskey journey. Blind taste testing is the real deal, and you all nailed it. Plus, now you even differentiate whiskey profiles that you prefer! Awsome
This was Fantastic !! As a Bourbon guy we like to Think know Everything but this shows us just have Fun and Enjoy what your drinking !! Cheers
"They say its the real way to taste whiskey; Dip the beak in!" 😂 what lovely and hilarious birds 🐦
My late father (he'd be 123 this year) didn't drink much, or even regularly, but when he did, it was either Canadian Club or (rarely) Crown Royal.
Great clip and wonderful personalities! Thank you
Oh Callyann... first you leave Laura hanging without cheersing her before your shot, then you have to leave the country in shame. Well, bon voyage, Sophie! It's been good to know ya! 😜
Dermot is such a pleasure!
Sounds like a new youtube channel. Two Girls That Love The Whiskey. Subscribed!
Canadian Club was one of my go to drinks in the early 1970s. CC and water was the way to ask for a drink back then.
Y'all should have tried Woodford Reserve!!! Its my favorite ❤
Love Dermot's reaction at the end when he finds out it's the 950 Euro Teelings. 😂😂😂
Totally enjoyed the video, great job 👊💪
Where do you think the American brewers came from? Scotland and Ireland. And they brought their recipes with them.
Omg, I so appreciate Dermot here, lol, his sassiness is perfect. "World Whiskeys" if the world was small.. lol.. even if it means we got opportunity for days to make more of these kinds of vids. Tho love the whole team here of course. Try is just a machine of good times, these peeps and more like Paddy etc., Can't imagine a day without any of them.
I have a bottle of Bulleit, and a bottle of Tin cup I am working through currently.
Love. Thank you for giving us yours, when my senses are so dulled by time and experience, your fresh outlook has confirmed by best judgement (but aye would have gone with the Glenfiddich since I know her so well).
Canadian Club is the bottom of a garbage can here in Canada. It's the booze you want to have a night of fighting!!
Nothing is better than a good American Bourbon! I’ve got a bottle of the birthday blend of Old Forrester that’s like the best of all time for me. I take a shot with my son on our birthdays.
OMG Eagle Rare vs Glenfiddich, two of my favorites!
