    Wish I could actually just go out and buy a power morpher. Regret everyday not getting a legacy morpher back in the day

      I know the legacy or original ones are the best options BUT if you just want a Morpher, you can pick up the yellow or pink lightning morphers very cheap and then modify them to look like a regular one if that helps

    Watching this a bit late, but i do kinda like the individual morphers. I feel it is a great thing for cosplayers.
    I got the Yellow Ranger one mainly because i watched the netflix special and i really am liking it. I got a perfect spot for it on my shelf.

      As a concept I think they work I just think they messed up on the execution with the electronics. The voice bits are just totally unnecessary on all the Hasbro morphers for me 😞

    I got a yellow morpher for $25 because the person that had it couldn’t stand the voice on it

      @order66collectibles  4 месяца назад

      NICE! Though I 100% agree with that person 😂 I can’t stand the voices, such a stupid decision by hasbro in my opinion. If you also don’t like them, the starlight studio coins remove them completely but you still get some sound effects

    Honestly I love the Hasbro Morpher. I just wish the silver parts were die cast and metal. If they were it’d be perfect. I love the size and everything. I do have large hands though.

    • @order66collectibles
      @order66collectibles  Год назад

      i have tiny sausage hands so it just looks ridiculous when I hold it lol. I think i might not mind the size increase if it kept the smooth curves of the original and legacy line - the back is just way too boxy for me. That being said, I think they absolutely nailed it with the power coins for the Hasbro Morpher and that gives me lots of hope for a decent Dragon/Master Morpher in the future

    They would literally make so much money if all they had done was made a recreation of the 93 morpher. I understand there was probably licensing issues involved, but all they had to do was put incorrect stickers or something (the same thing they did to the US version of the original morpher) to make it "different" and maybe update the coins to metal, and give the sound effect a little more oomph. No cheesy voices or anything. It's like they haven't watched power rangers at all in the last 30 years to know that the JOY of having a morpher is so YOU can call out the dinosaur name, like they did on the show.

    • @order66collectibles
      @order66collectibles  Год назад

      Couldn’t agree with you more! A recreation of the 93 morpher would have been a licence to print money really. All I want a morpher to do sound wise is make the noise when the lightning bolt drops 😂

    The Hasbro morpher, in my opinion, is much more meant for today's kids that will be way more rough and tumble with it than we were as kids. I have my 93' and a pair of Legacy Morphers and if I had to give my child one to play with and not feel too bad about them accidentally breaking, it'll be the Hasbro version.

    • @order66collectibles
      @order66collectibles  11 месяцев назад +1

      Oh yeah I’d absolutely give my little man the lightning morpher over my OG or Legacy morpher. The weird thing is that they aimed these at collectors - the age rating for the morphers excludes kids who might be rough and tumble which makes me think they just missed the mark maybe

  • @kevin10001
    @kevin10001 Год назад +2

    To me the role playing stuff from the lightning collection are a perfect example of hasbro not caring about us adult fans cause they put features they think we want on them then say it’s our fault for not fully liking the item like the dragon dagger having a light up feature something the dagger never did in the show so it was something we never expected the toy to do and the dragon zord call tune is of off pitch and the with the morpher it doesn’t need the actors calling out the their zord name and we don’t really need individual morphers for each ranger and it it wasn’t for the scale of the morpher it would be a recreation of the Bandai Japan morpher cause it has the back design on it not to mention all of the problems with the figure side of the line

    • @order66collectibles
      @order66collectibles  Год назад +1

      100% agree with you on everything above. Hasbro could have done what they have done with Star Wars black series line / force fx line, high quality replicas for adult collectors, no kid-features. The helmets are perfect (when QC is good), no gimmicks, no unnecessary features, just an adult collectible. The weapons should be no different - I picked up the dragon dagger and was initially excited for the release of the rest of the power weapons but quickly went off them because of the 'toy feel'. That being said...if they do bring out the Power Axe i'll be throwing my money at them

    So the Legacy morpher is the most closest to the 1993 morpher correct? Size and such?

    • @order66collectibles
      @order66collectibles  10 месяцев назад

      Legacy is closest in size to the 93 version but the lightning morpher is closest in weight (because so much of the legacy morpher is diecast instead of plastic)

    I love the Hasbro morphers, I just recently got back into collecting, so I have both Yellow and Pink ranger morphers. Wish I got back into collecting a few years earlier and picked up the original (lightning collection) morpher, because that’s the most priciest one for me, I was kind of bummed out to find out they stopped making the individual coloured ranger morphers without any release dates for the Black, Blue, and Red Rangers morphers, so hopefully they come out eventually, as a completionist, I have to complete the line up.
    Still have the Legacy morpher on my wish list too, and it’s pricey as all hell, especially when you’re Canadian lol, I think you may be looking too much into the size, of the Hanbro size, as they aren’t actually meant for kids, which the original morpher is scaled to a child’s size so it fit better in the hand of a child, while the Hasbro morpher sits comfortably in my adult hands, I held the old original Bandai morpher at a comic con, and the thing was basically gone in both my hands, so the upscale is nice for me.

    • @order66collectibles
      @order66collectibles  Год назад +1

      Nah that’s fair enough buddy - my view with any collecting is to each their own (I collect Disney galaxy’s edge lightsabers and they’re panned by a lot of the lightsaber community but I love em)
      For me personally the size is a big gripe but I think that’s more my issue - I thought the legacy could have been a little smaller but then I’ve just got small fat hands I think 😂
      I love the coins that come with the lightning series but just wish the design was a little less box-y. Have you/ are you picking up the master morpher?
      Keep an eye out on eBay for legacy morphers - they’ve absolutely tanked in price here in the UK lately (people just aren’t spending at the minute) so where they were previously selling for £250 and more I’ve seen a few go for around £150 in the last few weeks.
      Fingers crossed for good hunting for you!

    • @dennythesavage
      @dennythesavage Год назад +1

      @@order66collectibles thanks buddy, yeah I have long lanky hands, my family call me frog hands, and like you said for scaling to teach each their own.
      I totally get that, honestly I just love all memorabilia in general, don’t really have a preference, if it’s the product of the IP that I enjoy, I’ll more than likely pick it up if I can afford it. Lol.
      Collecting is definitely something I’m more passionate about as I got older, and love review channels. Definitely been scouting eBay and Amazon a lot more these days lol. The legacy morpher is the next on my list, I just ordered the Master Morpher from Hasbro, so for faithfulness to in cannon Morpher, I definitely need to add it to the collection.
      I look forward to watching your collection grow. 😎🙏🏽🤘🏽

    • @order66collectibles
      @order66collectibles  Год назад +1

      I’m the same, collecting is something I always thought about but then it really took off about 7 years ago and I can’t stop 😂
      At the minute im trying to limit my collection (and spending) to 3 IPs - power rangers, Star Wars and marvel, though marvel has had a lot less investment from me recently.
      I hope your master morpher arrives safe and sound - mine arrived and is a bit faulty annoyingly but as a display piece it works.
      I picked up some stuff to upgrade my legacy morphers so that’s going to be one of my next videos I think.
      Keep me posted on how your hunt goes and if you need/want help searching just shout

      The legacy ones are fantastic, I managed to get 6 with a load of starlight studios coins and they just look perfect. The 93 ones will always be my favourite though - when Hasbro announced theirs I thought and hoped we were basically getting an updated version of the original 93 ones in terms of size and features....but no, Hasbro supersized them for no reason
