You had me at Dawn of the Dead😂. What an underrated flick! My favorite zombie movie, with the possible exception of Zombieland. Unfortunately, I only got the studio edition of DotD. For three different versions, I might have to spring for the Second Sight release. On other note on your list. I think Kurt Russell should have been the lead in Roadhouse. Just my opinion, but I think he’s the best from making the switch from old, goofy, Disney movies to better roles. The thing that sealed it for me was seeing him and Goldie Hawn being interviewed, and his answer to something like “What do you do at home?” was something like, “we just sit around, bangin’ on the clicker”. What a classic line!
I never thought about that but you’re absolutely right I can see Kurt Russell. in the role. Definitely a similar look. Maybe even less pretty looking. I’m sure he’ll be a better actor too. I love Kurt Russell and that story mad my day.
One of my favorites is the Super Mario Bros. Umbrella release. It's one of the nicest box sets with all of the extra material and the movie looks great in 4k. The Hitcher box set is very nice too with a great picture. And I agree that Top Gun Maverick is a great looking movie on 4k. Also Edge of Tomorrow looks great

I've watched Footloose twice now on 4k and I don't think it is that bad. I'd much rather watch the 4k over the blu ray or dvd. That is not to say its not disappointing overall, it is. Still glad I have it, but hoping for a better version down the line.

I’m sure that’s a stunning looking 4K blu ray. It looked Incredible in theaters. I hear you on the violence at the end of true romance. I imagine that is one thing that prevented it from being more loved. It has this light hearted feel but still being over the top violent. I personally like that but completely get why that’s a turn off.
Amazon must have found some lost limited editions of True Romance 4k hard box set because I just ordered it from Amazon. I thought they were all sold out, but it is advertised as the set with the slipbox and art cards and poster and book. Hopefully, it gets shipped soon.

Terminator 2 is very good for french peoples, why ? because he have the same white elements like the 90’s vhs or tv aired from france, the dvd was awful for us, studio canal is french so the remastered is based as french aesthetic of the movie, so it’s like my vhs, a white not dark or blue filter. French remastered for all, sorry for you but that’s what thé movie look like for 60 millions peoples 😂

@ How did that get past QC? Imagine you are the head of a boutique 4k company and you hired Matt to work on FOOTLOOSE after you paid a lot of money for the rights and he says "ok I finished it and it's ready to mass produce." Then you see the job he did what would you say?

I have all of those but I didn’t think they were the best. Pulp fiction is my second favorite of all time so it was hard to leave it off. I actually left off most of my all time favorite films lol.

I understand that. That’s the tough part about Crimson peak. It’s not the most loved film but that 4K is stunning. I enjoy the other two films you mentioned much more. Pans Labyrinth does actually have a 4K but I have the criterion blu ray.

I have sent that 4K with my cousin and I remember it looking great. I was just never a huge fan of the film but it doesn’t take away from the disk.

It was a great blu ray and it was still a noticeable jump to 4K. Even the blu rays had nice packaging.

Interstellar is the best 4k of all time. 2nd is dune part 2.
Both are great films and 4Ks. Dune I just wish we got those IMAX enhanced scenes.

Now DAWN OF THE DEAD gives you 3 versions so in a way it's a Top 10 for me maybe.
All three versions are worth watching. It’s rare that you find a movie that can have three good cuts.
