What makes this one strange is they put a book in the hard case that they would usually put a 4K in. I’m not a huge fan of the disk at the bottom like that uncovered. It should be safe though or at least I hope so lol

Thank you so much for the compliment and thank you for the information on the blu ray. I actually didn’t enjoy it as much the second time. The plot is pretty ridiculous like you said and it felt like they wanted to have a twist and it didn’t entirely work. The visuals just stand out so much and the entire tone that I can overlook some of the obvious flaws.

Funny you said that about Pans Labyrinth. That’s also my favorite from him and I don’t own it because of that 4K release. I’m afraid to buy the criterion and have a new remaster come out lol. The Devils Back bone is a great 4K! I’m really hoping after this 4K that Arrow some how gets the rights to Pans Labyrinth.

@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia I got the Criterion of PAN because I heard that it retains the audio mixes from the earlier Blu-ray release whereas the 4K only had one mix. The visual upgrade was supposedly not that great. The Criterion of CRONOS is quite good as well.

@harrisoncastleberry458 I love Cronos! That’s actually getting a 4K, So is Mimic and Blade 2. I’ll grab Pans Labyrinth in Julys Criterion sale then!

@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia It should actually be 12 bits on the Sony x800m2 player. I have an LG OLED EVO C2. My Panasonic shows 12 bits but the Sony doesn't. Sorry for my translation. I'm from Germany and work with Google Translate Haha

@maxrstk_Z I completely understand my friend. The only reason I don’t have that information is this is an older video and have looked at the specs in a while. I know that its very comparable to the Panosocic 820 spec wise so if that had 12 this more then likely does too. I like both players and this is my main one that I use but the Panasonic I believe is still the better player but does costs more.

@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia Yes, I still understand it's strange that the Sony is supposed to be able to do 12 bit but it doesn't show it, but HDR 10 looks mega good and the Panasonic, for example, has a fan that the Sony doesn't and it's so quiet, a dream

That’s one of the few shows I got into and i’m surprised it didn’t get a real conclusion with all the money they invested in that show

@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia yea I loved that show and I’m a huge Anthony Hopkins fan. From what I read the show became very expensive and by the 4th season fans had tapered off. They didn’t have enough viewers for WB to finish the story out. The writers apparently had an amazing ending planned and to wrap it all up with 1 more 5th season. What a shame

@Beetleejuicee That really is. I know it did start to loose viewers and I wasn’t watching the episodes live. I would binge whole seasons and still thought one was the best season. I would have still liked to see it conclude though.

I think like you. DNR does serve a purpose. You do want to clean up some grain if you can just not at the Sacrifice of the detail. But i’m with you. I don’t want to see a blizzard either lol. Thanks for the compliment buddy I truly appreciate it.

That’s a great top 10! Frank Capra and Rob Reiner are both phenomenal directors. Rob Reiner I don’t think gets appreciated enough for the run he went on from the mid 80s through the mid 90s. So many classics!

Thank you so much for that comment I really appreciate it! I would say this is more of my favorite directors and not necessarily who I think are the greatest. Akira Kurosawa, Alfred Hitchcock, Ingmar Bergman may be better they some not favorites when it comes to the craft of film. My taste generally favors 70s, 80s and 90s but I love all eras of film and try to be knowledgeable on all eras of film. My favorites just come from the eras I’ve seen the most on. Hopefully though has time goes on i’ll continue to see more. Thats awesome about Fincher. I’ve heard he’s hard to work with but knows his craft.

You mean how dark it is? It is a pretty dark film.

It was genius and a risk. Essentially a remake of the original but still its own thing. It’s iconic.

They do have good and very underrated sequels.

I would rather it be there then not if it was there originally.

I’ve always felt like Toy Story 2 was the best of the Franchise. I saw it in 99 when it came out and on every rewatch I still feel that way.

That Predator Blu ray was terrible lol. Ghostbusters even on 4K has that grain and it’s just how that film is. Ghostbusters 2 actually is a better looking movie overall. Just not as good lol.
